Excellent dining experience. We were warmly welcomed at the Les Six Communes restaurant. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The food was absolutely delicious, with impeccable quality. Products from the region highlighted. We had a lovely time and we highly recommend this establishment for a quality dining experience.

What happiness. The chef is a real chef. So appetizing that I forgot to take photos before eating the dishes. The homemade terrine is delicious. In addition, the service is perfect and smiling. I strongly advise.

Sharing a refined meal in a magnificent room, with a fire in the background, is always a unique moment for me. The dishes are excellent, from starter to dessert. Quality products from the region are highlighted. The staff is friendly, smiling, it's always a pleasure to visit this establishment.

We came to eat the hunt because this restaurant was highly recommended to us. Well we were not disappointed! First positive impression upon arriving: the setting is very warm and the service attentive. And then we really enjoyed ourselves: velouté squash and black pudding as a starter and saddle of venison as a main course. To fall. The meat was extremely tender, the toppings were varied and tasty, homemade spätzlis. We feel that there is love in the kitchen :) Finally, we wanted to know how the chef did with pastry so we ordered a Paris-Brest to finish (to share, we're not savages either ) : a massacre! In conclusion, the bill is quite steep but the quality of the meal, the welcome and the service are there and the experience is definitely worth it.

It's a nugget. It is a beautiful restaurant with room/brasserie/terrace, in a charming village in Val-de-Travers. Local absinthe is served with the traditional fountain. Large selection of craft beers, very good choice of regional wines. The menu is on a human scale and the cuisine is well executed. Everything is local and homemade with a few rare exceptions, mentioned on the menu. The prices are very reasonable (for example the small salad at 5.50... or the children's menu at 12 francs!). In addition, the service is impeccable, the owners are very friendly. It was my first time and I hope to return again and again...

So far satisfied (I ate 2X). This is no longer the case. I stopped by for a coffee on the terrace. After 15 minutes have passed, still no one comes. I open the cafe door. A person tells me I'll be there right away. I wait another good 5 minutes and then I get up and leave. It took me 2 more minutes to start and leave with the car. No one came to look outside. It would have been easier to say I can't do it at the moment! I am angry.

An essential address for relaxed gourmets curious to discover new flavors and dishes created with love, finesse, know-how and creativity. We also love the homemade touches like the little absinthe meringue that accompanies the coffee served after dessert. The place is superb and the welcome is warm and family-friendly. We enjoy it every time and we can only recommend it.

A wonderful restaurant in a stylish house on the main street of Motiers! We were there for dinner. Nice welcome, small menu. Local/regional specialties. Good explanation of the dishes. Everything was beautifully prepared and creatively presented. Very special: The "soufflé" à l'Absinthe de Môtiers servi chaud & sa mouillette de brioche au beurre. A truly sensational dessert. We'd love to come back

Sharing a meal at “Six-Communes” is always a pleasant experience. Flavors and beautiful presentations are there. However, we regret that the prices have gone up, especially for lunch dishes. Paying 22.- for a chicken breast and a few cubes of polenta, without vegetables, is starting to get expensive. However, we thank the sommelier for offering to have a green salad as a starter because there are no vegetables served with the dish…

Beautiful setting, ultra friendly staff and the food is delicious

If there is one restaurant, that I would strongly recommend when passing through Val de Travers, it's this one. In my experience, it's very busy at lunch hour during weekdays and often also during week-ends. I was lucky to get a table to have lunch this first Saturday of February and opted for a garlic feast, starting with snails and continuing with a steak accompanied by roasted garlic and garlic butter, all to charm the rest of the family when returning home in the evening. The restaurant serves a restricted number of dishes, well selected from local products and including a vegetarian choice. As you might expect, the drinks list is dominated by the local speciality, absinthe, that is not my cup of tea. The choice of wine is dominated by regional variants from the Neuchâtel district of high quality. Service is pleasant and efficient.

The excellent reputation of the restaurant is well established. Delicious meals, reasonable prices, attentive teams... I love it and I'm a fan.

To flee ! We had reservations, waited 1 hour before our order was taken. Obviously half of the card was no longer available (on the other hand, for the banker and trustee tables, no problem...). Waiting 1 hour 45 minutes for starters (two salads and a plate of smoked salmon). Seeing the waiter come back because he was out of fries (but we realized that 45 minutes after taking the orders). So I had to choose the most expensive dish on the menu, rare meat which was cold with a side dish that I couldn't choose. End of meal 3 p.m.…. Fortunately I didn't have to return to work at 1:30 p.m., I wouldn't have had anything to eat! And of course, we let the waiters do the dirty work and the owners don't even come to apologize!

Magnificent restaurant with a superb terrace.

In three of the same menus, the meat was very mixed and tough twice...once it was ok and looked completely different and was good. When I reported it, the response was that two pieces of meat were not from the same part of beef as the third piece! 48.- for a tough, sinewy piece of meat was not appropriate! There was also very little to see of the service. Can't recommend this lovely restaurant! A pity!

As for the service, everything was perfect, the waiters are warm, friendly, responsive, professional and know the menu by heart! As for the Boss Nora, she is a woman's love, takes great care of her customers and there too we feel the passion for the profession with the sole objective: that you have a pleasant evening! Oops...WHERE DID THE PAST OWNERS GO.. We had the aiguillette of the day and the trout “filet”. No comments.... The meat was tough and tasteless. And as for the trout “fillet”, how can I put it, disgusting. Mixing a tomato "sauce" called Provencal style with trout doesn't work... and fillets remain fillets and not plaices... Additionally, the trout "fillet" was overcooked. We can innovate but with intelligence, this is not the case. In the hope that this will change... because it would be a shame if such a beautiful establishment were to lose. Ps; having two separate cards is not a good idea. Brasserie and restaurant menu should be used on the terrace as well as in the dining room or as indicated, and on the site and when making reservations by telephone
