Was at Cafe Rubus in the morning in mid-January 2024 to meet with an Effretik businessman. The lady didn't want to serve me coffee. But the businessman does! I wrote a correct, truthful review in Tripadvisor in March 2022. The ladies didn't like that. We left the restaurant in a hurry. A pity. Resentful.

It's just stupid to me that it's closed today. (Of course I could have checked that on the internet, it's my own fault.) But the fact that it will also be open on Saturdays from next week is a highlight of my summer. This café and the warmth of the people who serve and run the café are worth a detour - and also a whole bike ride.

This is exactly how a great café should be - everything is just right here!

Very friendly, cozy coffee run by a super nice, young, friendly team, very lovingly furnished! The terrace is optimally separated from the street. The homemade cakes are a dream, a huge compliment! The coffee is delicious and the fantastic variety of amarettis are a dream! Everything was great, we like to come back again and again, our Lagotto dog Loulou also feels very comfortable. Super lovely girls who run the store to perfection. The coffee tastes really great and is nothing compared to the cakes, which are all baked in-house. These cakes alone are worth the extra trip to Switzerland. I can really only recommend it!

Very good coffee and cake. Gastronomy is carried out here with attention to detail. I also found it very nice that there was a glass of water with the coffee, otherwise you experience less or not at all.

Very friendly, personable service, not enough choice for lunch, portions too small for the price and the salad too not enough... What a shame. But salad dressing was great. Cakes also not enough selection... Amarareti but also top. Try it again another time, perhaps with larger portions. Ham/cheese toast was really too small and not enough....

In terms of taste, a lot of it is a pleasure. The portions are in a good and filling dimension. The staff worked in a straightforward, well-groomed and friendly manner. I can highly recommend the restaurant! We think the inn is contemporary for all kinds of events - whether with friends, acquaintances or family.

We came here for Sunday brunch. Quiet, cozy place. Brunch buffet, with fine Birchermüesli and scrambled eggs and homemade confit. Dogs are allowed. Very friendly staff.
