Very nice, cozy cafe and nice staff. Didn't eat anything, but the coffee was delicious

I had a coffee that didn't taste very good and had a lot of grounds in it. The saleswoman wasn't exactly very friendly. I didn't try the food but it still looked delicious. Conclusion: coffee not recommended.

I absolutely love visiting this cafe for a coffee run or to sit down with a friend. The cafe is open and inviting, with italian wall posters and big windows. Its nicely decorated and just about any seat it comfortable. Now, the coffee is one of the best you can get in Schaffhausen, and they have some really cool special stuff as well. Ive never had their sandwiches, but their baked goods are really delicious. My favorites are the Sfogliatella with chocolate, they're perfect for a quick bite with some coffee. The staff, you ask? Super nice and wholesome. They remember you and make polite small talk and are open and friendly during their work. Give them a visit ;)

Very very chic and modern cafe. The service is top notch and all employees are always helpful and open to a good conversation. I would especially like to thank Mr. Azzato again for his interest and extremely professional manner. Thank you very much! By far my favorite cafe in Schaffhausen. The café is really a must for every coffee lover and caffeine-free drinks are also extremely good. There's no need to talk about the snacks and rolls. Go by and see for yourself!! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Since I like good coffee, I often go to Caffe Spettacolo in Schaffhausen. The atmosphere here is really great, so that you forget about time. The service is impeccable and you are noticed. I also noticed an employee with black hair and a beard, a very polite young man and, above all, competent in his work. It's nice to come there more than once a day. LG see you next time !

Depending on who is serving you, the behavior can be very friendly or arrogant. Coffee used to be good, and I came for it every now and then. But the newest team doesn't have it under control at all. Topped up the latte with cold milk because there wasn't enough in the frother. Quality so-so. A racket behind the bar and guests elegantly ignored. Today a rude “Huh?” if something is not understood correctly. No thank you, please, goodbye or any other customer-friendly gesture. Tables were piled high with dirty dishes that no one cleared away. Highly unprofessional.

Good selection of vegan drinks, mostly vegan snacks (gipfeli, sandwiches). Usually very crowded and loud, but you can almost always find a seat.

The location is very well located. Sit comfortably outside and enjoy a coffee in peace. But had a great experience today. The barista Gianni “conjured up” a Babycino for our junior ☕️🍼 This is how customer enthusiasm works 💯👏🏼

Very fine coffee and delicious chocolate croissants

Overall I enjoyed sitting there and enjoying my coffee and other drinks and snacks. The service was very friendly, especially the older one who brought my things outside to my seat because she was very attentive and saw that I needed help. There is a changing facility in the women's toilet. Unfortunately, the room is a bit awkwardly laid out and is barely passable with a stroller. But it's a plus point that such an option even exists. There are delicious croissants and delicious coffee. The raspberry juice is also recommended, very refreshing on hot days. Sitting outside is great and you have a nice view of the town square. Highly recommended!

Nicely located in the beautiful old town. The ambience is okay. The selection of products too. There is definitely more to it in terms of quality. Further work can also be done on the courteousness of the staff.

Should we consider this an iced latte? It was absolutely terrible. I also ordered the mozzarella and tomato sandwich, which was below average. To make matters worse, there was a large insect flying around the snack tray, and no one seemed to be addressing it. On a positive note, the atmosphere was lovely.

Just drank the Coffee & Iced coffee of the “4 stars” Caffe Spettacolo and I truly believe that the rating achieved of the Cafe was given without thinking. The Iced Coffee was alright but filled with milk which I don’t prefer as my cup of coffee However the Latte was worth spitting out as soon it enters the mouth The lady had got the order wrong instead of Large Coffee I got Small Coffee and she forgot to add the Espresso shot which made it very milky

In my eyes - now, after 4 sobering experiences - a disgrace for spettaccolo... I'm used to something different! In the last 2 weeks (temperatures often over 30 degrees) it happened 4 out of 5 times around lunchtime that they ran out of ice, i.e. couldn't offer any iced coffee/frapedo. doesn’t speak for leadership/planning….

Extremely unfriendly service. Some ingredients are always missing. . The tables are never clean, the floor is all dirty. Today there was no whipped cream and no hot food was possible. Last time no mineral and no cola. After 6:30 p.m. you are no longer welcome…. It was said that we had run out of all the ingredients for a coffee freddo...

I very much regret that the daily newspaper was canceled due to cost reasons. For five years now, a wonderful cappuccino, the “Schaffhauser Nachrichten” and the apricot summit have been part of my morning ritual 4-5 times a week.

The male cafe crew wasn’t friendly at all, we politely asked if the panini is available, he turned away and said NO. The male waiter was very rude and I don't know if it was because of his skin color. We didn't seem very welcome. We politely asked if the food was sold out, and he looked contemptuous at us and just said "NO".

Easily accessible. Friendly staff. Love their Chai Latte. You can sit inside and enjoy the warmth on a cold day or outside and people watch and enjoy the beauty of the town or you can grab a take away and enjoy a walk through the town and head towards the river Rhein. I’ve done all three options and have enjoyed each one equally.

Even when ordering, the waiter was unfriendly, annoyed and arrogant. A buddy and I sat there for about two hours, had croissants coffee and finally got kicked out. He said if we don't order anymore, we should leave.

We've been there several times before but what happened now surpasses everything. The lady behind the counter was cheeky and then surprised at my behavior. In a snappy tone she asks us what kind of gathering this is and whether we don't know any distance regulations???? As if I can do something about how close the people behind me come when I'm at the counter and want to order something. And then she would like to reprimand me as to how quickly/slowly/carefully I should put down my ID?? And then calling after us when I decided to leave “Hello, what happened now?!” is this how you treat paying customers???? No sorry. No more!

This is the same as the product itself. The best place in Schaffhausen for an Italian breakfast. Good coffee, the empty and jam croissants are the best but the cocoa and pistachio muffins are also very good. They also have puff pastries. Friendly and Italian-speaking staff. Right in the center of Schaffhausen. We go often and willingly.

I've been waiting in line for half an hour now, waiting to get a coffee. At the price they charge, they could at least hire enough staff. Obviously the customer is only there to pay the high price.

Unfortunately no service even though staff is available? Otherwise a cozy boulevard cafe to enjoy the outside "käfele" when the weather is nice. Cake selection could be improved. Friendly staff.

If you couldn't give a star, I would. We came in, wanted something to eat and drink, put our bags on a free table and went to the counter. Two customers were standing there, just ordering. Then the good gentleman behind the counter barked at us in a tone that made my hair stand on end, we should be considerate of other customers, that's how we normally do it, whoever was faster gets to sit first and at a volume that made the whole coffee look! You notice that the table was free, there was no sign that it was occupied. He complained to us that the table was now occupied. My friend left the coffee straight away and I replied that one could remain decent. His colleague then apologized for it! Good man: WE are YOUR customers. We pay your wages. We couldn't smell that the customers wanted to order from you and consume there or sit at that exact table. Moderate your tone and speak politely to potential customers. Especially now in Corona times. We would have bought and consumed. If you had been decent, just sit at the next table. YOU have achieved with your unfriendly manner that we will never come back and will not recommend the coffee to anyone. Her colleague was embarrassed and apologized to me. She can now suffer from your tone. Turn your brain on and a little respect is mandatory in your place! I wish you some decency and hope you are respectful to your customers in the future!

A really cool coffee place in town... On the Piazza Grande of Schaffhausen - a little bit of Italy everywhere. The coffee is consistently good, the baristas are all masters of their craft and always put a smile on my face with their latte art skills..... And last but not least: the croissants, apricot brioche and everything else on offer: fresh and delicious! The crew from house to flower...

very cool place! Very nice outside in summer, in winter there is evening sun, chairs with blankets for smokers, inside in the "schäärme" there is even a bar with high chairs in the window. Like everywhere, quite expensive, but the selection is very good. What feels like 181 types of coffee, teas, shakes plus fine fresh pastries, sandwiches and sweets. Dogs allowed, I love being here 😍

A snotty Italian gentleman behind the counter who scares away customers makes a visit to this shop a big disappointment. First of all, my companion is attacked aggressively and on the last and therefore very last visit to this branch you are completely ignored. I would ask the management to take action!!!

Very nice location on Fronwagplatz, quiet in the pedestrian zone, with a garden restaurant. Inside with a few tables, a large window front and lots of mirrors. Coffee, pastries and rolls must be ordered at the counter. Very fine almond peaks. The espresso was also excellent. Nice people. What more do you want?

I actually don't like this coffee chain (coffee wakes up corpses and can possibly cause cardiac arrhythmias), but today I enjoyed the seat on the corner in the city when the sun was shining and really soaked up the city life.

The coffee is great, and so is sitting outside.

The various coffee specialties that we try out again and again are just HMMMM!...Of course it has its price, but if the coffee is good...and I was able to get a seat outside in the nice weather, I'm satisfied👍

Today I had a terrible experience in this coffee. I'll never go there again 😒. Unfriendly, incompetent and uncommunicative staff who don't want to do the job. I picked a seat and waited for the service. I wasn't sure if I should order at the counter. Normally you get an instruction and you can go to the counter. For the first time in my life the waiter at the counter told me "I don't feel like doing service". I immediately got up and left. I have to say that I had to listen to the waiter for 10 minutes saying he didn't feel like cleaning or tidying up the dishwasher. On Sunday morning you want to go for a nice coffee and just enjoy the time. I go to Schaffhausen once or twice a year and only went there because the other bars had no more space. No wonder Spettacolo had free tables if you weren't welcome. The fewer people come, the less work for the staff.

There are delicious foccacia and cornetti here, of course also to take away. The staff are also very friendly. In addition, the café is part of “To Good To Go”, so unsold treats can be purchased cheaply in the evenings via the app.

My absolute favorite cafe in Schaffhausen. There is this great shop in the pedestrian zone in Schaffhausen. Excellent coffee specialties, the best croissants in town and friendly, well-trained staff round off the program. There are no better baristas in Italy either. Here you really feel like you are on holiday in the south. There are always great little things or delicious cakes on offer. In summer, you can also sit outside. Therefore, five stars from me.

Interesting coffee at Fronwagplatz in Schaffhausen. Large selection of coffee, summits, sandwiches. You can also use the “To Good To Go” app to pick up specially prepared groceries there for little money between 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Instead of throwing away “food waste”.
