I was invited to a company New Year's party with about 20 people at Restaurant Capolinea, and I had the pleasure of experiencing this culinary oasis for the first time. The reception was charmingly reserved yet warm, while the festive table created an atmosphere of elegance and invitation. The three-course menu was accompanied by an excellent wine pairing. The starter presented a delicate mixed antipasti plate with crusty white bread and a delicious black olive spread, accompanied by carefully arranged cheese and ham. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the main course: sea bass in a sauce of olives and tomatoes, accompanied by perfectly roasted potato wedges with a subtle hint of smoke, finely balanced cooked spinach and garlic. A main course that delighted with its sophisticated flavors. The dessert offering included panna cotta and lemon sorbet to choose from, with my choice being the sorbet. The slightly bold acidity was by no means overpowering, and the raspberry rounded off the dessert's taste perfectly. Overall, an absolutely recommendable gastronomic experience - accompanied by first-class service in an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, located directly on the shores of Lake Zurich.

I booked my reservation as I always do, via the website, table for two, along with our orders and the exact time we will show up. I do this as my time is limited and do not wish to have to wait for my food upon arriving. We arived as scheduled at 12:30, we were greeted by friendly staff who guided us to our reserved table, and with in a min of sitting down our drinks, steaks and veg were served, cooked to perfection as always. super pleasent experiance and very much looking to lunch with them again in the future. The Capolinea restaurant is located directly at Pfäffikon SZ train station. The host is very friendly, attentive and has a certain Italian charm.
