Cap's BBQ in Genève

The dishes are good and tasty, unfortunately this is the 2nd time that we have come for nothing because the restaurant is closed (even though it is indicated open on Google). Improve your communication please

We went there by chance, very pleasant surprise. Meats cooked for a long time at low temperature = a treat

When the order arrived it was cold, dry and over looked!! It is way too overpriced for the atrocious food they serve. NEVER COME HERE!!!!!!!!

I ordered on UberEats. Order was sooo loong, I called the restaurant 6-7 times, they don’t even bother to answer! Finally, after more than one hour the order arrived.. surprise, it was not at all what I ordered and some products were missing! Tried to call again, their phone not working! Terrible service!

We had lunch as a family (there were 8 of us including 4 young children and we had booked for several days!) today, Saturday of the school holidays. There were missing starters, side dishes and in the end there was no dessert. Not to mention the fact that there is only one bottle of white or rosé wine on the menu! The floor was slippery/greasy under our table, and the service took a long time after we took our order... the children were getting impatient: they were hungry. It’s a real shame because we had already been there (and were already missing a few desserts!) and we were very satisfied with the quality of the meat. Today the meat was good, but the note leaves a bitter taste when you don't benefit from all of the Map!

A large part of the menu was not available, we opted for the fat boy plate, unfortunately all the meats were very dry, the mac and cheese was too peppery despite the fact that I really like pepper, at least the coleslaw was very good. A good point for the waiter who was perfect despite the fact that he was a little embarrassed. I still recommend the amber tequila which was a great discovery.

very nice and warm atmosphere, but the food was terrible, the smoked meats that should have been wet and falling apart were all burnt and tough and didn't taste like smoked meats. . . Maybe it was a bad day of service but I don't believe it, I won't give it a second chance, I won't go back.

Can't say anything about the food because the shop wasn't open today (Saturday), which it should be according to HP and Google and there was no sign on the door why it was closed. We drove a lot of extra km.

My experience at Cap's BBQ restaurant in Geneva was mixed overall. Upon entering, one expected to be enveloped by the delicious aroma of barbecue, but unfortunately this was not the case. In addition, the presentation of the dishes leaves something to be desired. It was the first time I ate on parchment paper, which did not meet the expectations one might have in a restaurant. We would have appreciated a more careful and authentic presentation for a restaurant claiming to specialize in barbecue. Despite these criticisms, it is important to note that the service was friendly and attentive, and some dishes still tasted decent. However, for a barbecue lover, I expected to smell a characteristic barbecue smokiness and unfortunately almost non-existent. The overall experience could have been significantly improved by further accentuating the barbecue taste and reconsidering the presentation of the dishes.

Small disappointment. I mean the food is excellent and the concept is so cool. It's a unique and well thought out concept for a fan of American culture like me...I took friends for their birthday but surprised to see the place in such a state. Dirty floors, dirty table, dirty exterior with no decoration. Waiter with dirty t-shirt. Place not maintained nor devoured Just a shame that the place and the environment do not reflect the cuisine so good because it has a lot of potential

This has to be the best sandwich in Geneva. And very friendly and forthcoming service from Ian my waiter. Not to be missed if you’re hungry for some slow cooked meat

I finally got to try the restaurant! I've been wanting it for a while now. We arrived a little early, 11:50am, and Conor was lovely because he got us settled straight away! We had our baby and he was very well taken care of. The meat was excellent, really! And mac & cheese too 🥰. The only downside in terms of choice was the cheesecake for dessert, which arrived without coulis because there was no more, and other products on the menu were missing. However, thank you again and congratulations for the meat ☺️

The cooking was long and after 45 minutes of waiting, we were very disappointed with the quality and quantity of the platter at 89fr! Additionally, our server charged us for the two sides, which are supposed to be included with the platter. Unfortunately, we only saw this at home.

The place is really nice and the service was good, we had a great time wirh phantastic food, the only negative thing was the temperatur. It was very cold inside. We can also recoment the cocktail not cheap but nice and with a lot 8f alcohol.

Food was good overall- the sides were great. We got the corn salad and the panzella. However, the meat came cold, the brisket a bit dry, the ribs were tasty but chewy, we ordered the “bons bons” but instead we got the pulled pork which was also tasty but cold. The buffalo wings as an entree were delicious and came hot!

I will never come back again. We went to dinner and it was very bad. We asked for beers and they didn't give us any. The mac and cheese is not mac and cheese, they put it like breadcrumbs on top. I've never seen that in my life. Little quantity and high prices. The ribs were said to be simmered for 6 hours, because the meat did not come off the bone. They sell things they don't have. We were going to order dessert but since it took so long to serve us we didn't order it since we had to leave.

Excellent and original but above all you have to be very, very hungry because it is plentiful. Efficient, smiling and friendly service. In short, a place that you must know and appreciate. I advise you !

I think we fell on a staff mark night. Waiting 45 minutes to get our dishes. Meats arrived cold. We waited for our dishes until in the end some flagship products were out of stock. Totally outdated servers. The meat and side dishes were still good.

Wanted to try this place as always smells great from the outside. Got a burger and sweet potato fries which was delicious. Not cheap but totally worth it. I also enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant with the music they had playing. Nicest sweet potato fries I've ever eaten. Was too full for a dessert but liked the look of the dirty cookies on the counter so will try one next time.

Best value in Geneva. Great food! Keep it up. Some natural wine would be the cherry on top.

WOW. BBQ in Geneva? I mean, this city is multi-cultural, so it has a lot of food options. But BBQ? I was surprised and I honestly didn't have high expectations. However, Cap's BBQ really delivered. I had been looking forward to eating there and then I saw them at the Street Food Festival. I ordered their pulled pork sandwich, without tomato (I personally thought this was a weird addition... haven't seen any in the U.S. that add tomato). It was a plate, so came with sweet potato fries and 🤤 the flavor, the meat, the texture... everything was on point. Looking at the photo is making my mouth water. I'm so happy they were at the festival and I'm so happy they're in Geneva. They are DEFINITELY worth visiting. Great job Cap's!

can you tell me why I paid more for my hamburger at street food than at a restaurant. especially since I ate it standing up and in a cardboard container, I'm outraged

A restaurant victim of its success, a long waiting time between order and service. The servers doing everything they could to manage the room and the terrace, no complaints there. The meat is excellent, cuts like butter, melts in your mouth. Sweet potato fries, very good, crispy. I highly recommend eating good meat and terribly well cooked.

I ordered it on Uber eats last night . 55 chf for a sleepless night on the toilet puking my guts out. I will go see them to get reimbursed, felt like I was dying and almost missed going to work. Awful

Very poor service. I was served like most of my friends. Meat served cold, overcooked and dry and sweet potato fries cooked in used oil. Wrong orders were taken. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We came a year ago and were delighted with the burgers. This afternoon we went back and we were really disappointed, the fries were much overcooked or even burnt, and the pin of the burger was hard in places… on top of that we were not asked to cook it and it arrived rare … Not sure we'll come back for a burger anyway. Otherwise friendly and welcoming staff

Super nice restaurant! The meats are very good! Very tasty side dishes! And the desserts, YUM!! The waiters and the waitress were really very welcoming, throughout the meal, they took great care! We had an excellent evening! I recommend it!

Good barbecue type meal, the quality is there, as are the flavors.

Quality meat (the fried Mac & cheese accompaniment is worth the detour!!), good proportions, a price entirely in line with the quality offered, very friendly, smiling and available servers. What more ? Go for it! The place is warm with beautiful decor, the atmosphere is pleasant, the menu is rich, nothing to say!

I recommend the Fat Boy plate to discover the variety of meats, each one more delicious than the other (to eat for two people, eat light the previous meal 😁)

As a Texan, this place is legit. A total surprise for BBQ on the other side of the world. The service is amazing. Just come and eat everything. You will not be disappointed. It’s local meats, fruits, veggies and house made everything else including the sauces. Picture is proof. Destroyed the nachos and wings.

By far the best barbecue restaurant in Geneva! The meats are cooked for a long time, are well seasoned and tender. The sauces are homemade and very good too! A very nice surprise!

Great experience, a rich menu full of surprises! I loved the place, the teams were very warm/professional. Regarding my dishes, I opted for the wings as well as a panzanella and honestly it was simply delicious, fresh and spicy just right... I was also able to try the mac & cheese, and the hush puppies and once again these dishes were a huge success. Travel to the states guaranteed!! I highly recommend this restaurant :)

A great place to share a beer and taste meat specialties. Without further detours, it is indeed the brand of the place: the meat. The rib served on the bone is impressive and delicious. In Geneva, this is a place where you will undoubtedly have one of the best quality-price ratios for meat. The service is efficient, the place sober but warm. Why not take a detour?

Not convinced. Rather average overall. Cold and overcooked meat. We do not recommend this restaurant if you want to indulge in a taste treat. Damage.

Oh well, I was really expecting something wow that was ordinary: the burnt ends and the pulled pork were good. The brisket was overcooked and therefore hard and dry. The macn cheese looked like a ready-made preparation, with no particular flavor. On the other hand, the cheesecake was delicious. In conclusion: restaurant to try once but not to come back from there

Honestly divine! The meat is just excellent and quality, cooked to perfection and the portions are more than adequate! the side dishes are super good, as are the drinks! The staff were super friendly and efficient, really nothing to complain about!

Would hardly call it BBQ. It's meat selection is underwhelming and tasteless and the don't feel fresh at all, specially the salad.

Amazing BBQ. I've missed a good old American brisket but now it's in Geneva. The prices are quite cheap for meat in Geneva. I recommend the BBQ newbie menu (brisket, burnt ends and pull pork)

Deliciously smoked bbq! It is so tender paired with their coleslaw. Their cheesecake is also sooo good, not too sweet.

Home order: frozen briskets, softened potatoes, overcooked and tasteless mac and cheese... Unacceptable. Run away !!

Everything is good, except big downside the cold gray tray so the food cools quickly and also in the restaurant it is cold as if there was no heating on. Better to take away and enjoy Cap’s BBQ at home comfortably.

Very good atmosphere, warm place, diversity of dishes as well as meats which are cooked for several hours in the oven. I then decided to have a beef bun, a sort of burger accompanied by sweet potatoes. At first, I was disappointed by the barbecue sauce which in my opinion was not creamy enough. The bun for its part was not brioche enough. I found that it was slightly burnt which gave a smoky taste to the bread... Something I didn't expect given that it's a bun, in other words a brioche bread.

We live in the area for 6 years and what a miss we discovered this place just now. It was truly the beat meat I ever had!

One of the first things that got me excited was to see they offered Yuengling lager, which is an awesome taste of home (PA, USA) for me. Then the food arrived and it was delicious. I especially loved the burnt ends, ribs, sweet potato fries and my friends said their brisket, pulled pork, Mac & cheese and garlicky veggies were good too. Honestly, we had so much food. Geneva prices but the portions and quality are worth it. Oh, and the staff are super friendly. Definitely returning!

The meat was very good. On the other hand, the service leaves something to be desired. Plates served cold, they forget the services. And forget to get rid of us. Following our complaints they became unpleasant. Lack of professionalism

I definitely recommend this restaurant because the food is excellent! However, when I receive a bill for 600 CHF, I could possibly expect that one of the two coffees or a digestive will not be counted. Too bad on this point but for the rest, nothing to say!

Excellent in every way, service included. Nice choice of bourbon to end the experience. The only downside (and a major one) that deserves a correction is that the sauces are so disappointing that we had to skip them (the BBQ is neither smoked nor has it seen a drop of bourbon, and the mustard is more peppery/spicy than anything else) and that we will come with ours next time. Too bad, with meat like this! The quality/price ratio is excellent for Geneva, many places don't sell their meats half the time for much higher prices.

An exceptional restaurant, I recommend it to all those who love excellent meats!!!

Attention ! If you don't want to be stressed during your meal, don't go to this restaurant. An appointment where you are clearly told that after 1h30 you must vacate the table. Once there, only 1 table next to us so a delicate first contact was completely unnecessary. As for the meat, nothing exceptional and the sweet potato fries far too salty and full of oil. In short, a disappointing experience.

Disappointing, meat served cold, whether in the Brisket sandwich and especially in the platters, one of which still costs 85fr!! Everything was too salty, some of the sweet potato fries were inedible because they were too bathed in salt, making you wonder if the goal was to hide something. The waiter was very nice, but kicked us out at 8:30 p.m. sharp even though no one was still waiting for the table. Very bad experience overall, we will not come back and I really do not recommend it.

The meat was so good!!! Low temperature cooking which makes the meat so moist and tender. We tasted everything!!! And possibility to take away if you haven't finished everything. The employees were great!! Great service!!! I didn't give it a 5 because I was disappointed with the desserts. We took both on the menu but not to our taste. And yet I love cheesecakes. Damage !! A good key lime, brownie or a great vanilla pecan/brownie ice cream etc would be a plus...

Great new offer in Geneva , the concept is great and perfect for a cosy homey meal , waitress was so nice and welcoming , some pieces of meat were a bit too dry for me.

Not great. The food is good, the concept is nice, but ultimately, we only go there once to try it, because the American cuisine is not famous either. In terms of service, the waiters act like a gestapo to scan the QR code, if you don't do it, they insist, in short, I don't go to the restaurant to be tracked and especially not to put pressure. I won't set foot there again.

Beast of a meal - very well cooked meat, good service and mostly quality cuts. Strongly recommend the burnt ends in either the beginner platter or the calofornia.

Very disappointed with the experience, especially since our expectations were very (too?) high. More than 45 minutes of waiting (covid circumstance and culinary craze, I'm willing but hey...). The meat was served to us COLD (more than 1 kg ordered anyway). The meat (briskets, and bronthosaurus) was not only cold but also and above all not fresh (the meat seemed to be VACUUM SEALED and simply cut and then served on an ordinary platter). The meat was very tough, almost inedible and the fact that no checks were made before being served is difficult to forgive. The manager offered us two desserts as an "apology" without directly apologizing for serving us meat that was not fresh, cold and tough. I put an extra star for the service and cordiality of the servers. We will not come back.

Great food. However the customer experience over the phone was very disappointing as there wasn't any. My mates and I tried to call you guys about 40 times, no joke, and never got through to anyone...which is a bit embarrassing considering that phone orders were your main chanel for orders. My mate had to drop by your restaurant to order food and realised that nobody attended to the phone as it was just there and simply not ringing.... Was your phone on mute? Probably.... Could you please let us know what happened there? This is the kind of stuff that will make people walk away despite your attractive and diversified menu. I really hope that this won't happen again as I intend to order again in the near future. Take care and best, CT
