Casa Mia in Stetten (AG)

This place has been one of my favourite restaurants for Italian food but when I visited yesterday the food was extremely bland. I ordered a ravioli with white sauce but when it came it looked like there was double cream just put on it with no flavour. Small portion sizes. Plate was half full. Travelling from Manchester to London we always look forward to eating here. Its become extremely cramped in there. They are cutting corners. Even the cheese on my husbands gnocchi was more like a mild cheddar then mozzarella. All extremely bland.

I recently had lunch at Casa Mia with a group of friends. The staff were warm and welcoming and all the meals were beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We will definitely be coming again.

Went last week with our daughter. Some of the best Italian food I have had besides Central London, but very disappointed that the owners have seen it fit to cram the restaurant with so, so many tables. We were packed like sardines. Also a bit stingy of the owners to charge 50p for some chilli flakes!!!

Usually I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family but it was a bit disappointed with the food. I ordered a sirloin steak which was very greasley and veg served with the dish looked like they were leftover from Christmas day. The starter was no better ordered calamari which was very chewie (not fresh but frozen). Well I'll think twice now before recommending or visiting the place. Oh one last thing they tried changing me for an extra beer, so be careful before paying the bill. Giving 2 stars for service only.

Wd had a meal on Sunday 18th Dec with my two grandchildren, and the food was exceptional and sooo tasty . I'll definitely be back for their 2 course for 22 quid bargin meal deal

Had a pre Xmas meal there with friends & opted for the Xmas menu which was lovely. Helpful & friendly staff. Busy environment full of families (early evening). It was all lovely.

Dinned in 26.11.2023 for a birthday celebration. Ordered from the set menu, the Lamb shank and the Creme Caramel with a can of coke. Half way through the meal I was informed the desert wasn’t available anymore so I decided not to have one as none of the others appealed to me. When the bill arrived I was still charged the set menu price which was cheeky despite 2 of the deserts not being available. A main course and a can of coke ended up costing me £22. Some other complaints being the pizza was not a traditional stoke bake pizza but more a frozen pizza. Very disappointed and shan’t be returning again.

Busy restaurant with lots of tables but quite squishy inside. Had a Prosecco, ravioli and side of broccoli. Nice enough but nothing special.

Delicious Italian spot so local to me. Got really cramped inside quickly so maybe worth getting rid of some tables. Really enjoyed the pastas and our starters. Thank you!

Quite a small space for the number of tables, making it quite squashed. I had my head hit with handbags and noticed a group of ladies at the table next to us were able to listen to every word of our conversation. This led to us eventually realising they were staring at us for the last 5 minutes and it was extremely awkward. Fewer tables would make this place a little more comfortable. Food was mediocre. Pizza barely constitutes neopolitan style and pasta dishes were quite watery. The penne arrabiata was surprisingly good with a decent kick and a fairly thick sauce. Overall not great, much better options a short drive away.

Now firmly established as our "go to" restaurant. Friendly and quick table service and the food is five stars! Lovely vibe and always seems busy.

Ordered a sirloin steak - medium, with peppercorn sauce. Steak was cooked well done and the sauce was like water. Very poor. They have nice pasta though.

Lovely meal, good value for money. Nice atmosphere.

Had lunch there today, usually nice, but the service today was just appalling, nearly 2 hours to get our main courses, which I appreciate can happen anywhere, can happen, but what really annoyed me was when we mentioned it to the owner he was so indifferently about it, no apology, it was just so what it happens, which I appreciate this happens but the indifferent attitude of the staff and owner is what has annoyed me.

Did not actually go here. Went to Bandaa but Google maps picked up on the wrong spot. Although I've been here many years ago and it was really nice. Unfortunately, Bandaa is my usual go-to but their service and good quality has really declined in recent months so I don't think I'll be going that much anymore ...

Went for my mothers birthday which was one of maybe ten happening on that Sunday evening. The staff were very friendly and brought out a candle for her when we got dessert. The food was okay - along with a bottle of white wine, for starters we ordered: 1. Sliced aubergines baked with mozzarella, parmesan, tomato sauce and basil - this was nice 7/10 2. Pacific prawns cooked in butter and garlic sauce - prawns were pretty tough and the flavour was okay 4/10 For mains we ordered: 1. Fettucine with mushroom and truffle pesto - there was no truffle taste so it was pretty bland 1/10 2. Pizza Siciliana (V) - this was decent but nothing special I would go out of my way for 5/10 For dessert we ordered: 1. Tiramisu - this was pretty nice and light 8/10 2. Chocolate Soufflé - this was also pretty nice 8/10 Overall, it was decent but nothing I would rave about. My rating is mostly based on the food which I would summarise as just okay.

Visited on the spur of the moment Friday night, we didn't have a booking but they were able to seat us. Atmosphere was buzzy, service was efficient. Food was delicious and great portions, fried zucchini side was fab. Great bottle of Primitivo too. Will definitely be back

I went back to my hometown with my Mum for her birthday and chose to have dinner at Casa Mia as the whole family, especially her, have always loved the food here. Today did not disappoint yet again, and infact was better as we just felt a genuine good vibe from one waitress in particular called Anca.

First time visit. Wanted an authentic Italian restaurant. Food was to die for. Had my favourite, veal in mushroom and white wine sauce, sauté potatoes and vegetables, started was an aubergine small platesimilarto lasagne. Had chocolate fudge cake with cream as very rich, gorgeous. All lovely. The ambience was cosy and staff very helpful and polite. Would highly recommend visiting.

Fabulous Italian, service was really good, food was delish. The garlic bread is basically a pizza base with garlic butter on it, but found it a little dry. The brushetta pomodoro and brie were really nice. The pizza was really tasty and the chillies had a real kick. Loved the tiramasu and chocolate souffle. Personally I didnt like the bannoffe pie but others in my group did! Def worth a visit.

First time visiting due to recommendations and I cannot express how enjoyable both atmosphere and food was. Great service lovely food will definitely be coming back. Thank you 😊

Staff were very attentive and efficient; prices were reasonable; interiors were interesting; plenty to choose from on the menu.

This place gave me food poisoning, avoid. I ordered the gnocchi.

Lovely evening dinner! Even though I eat meat, I opted for the veggie lasagne and shared the ravioli and calamari. The lasagne was so delicious (asked for extra cheese and chilli!) The calamari was really good too, the only thing was though the ravioli was not up to par. Service was good even though the restaurant was really busy!

Came to Casa Mia for Mothers Day and had an incredibly poor meal. Restaurant was clearly over booked, seated at our reservation time of 7:30 but didn't get to order our drinks until 8:15 and didn't get starters until gone 9pm, then another 45 minute wait for main courses. Food either under cooked or swimming in oil, risotto made with long grain rice but nobody asked why our mains were left mostly uneaten.

Nice authentic family run Italian and beautiful decor. the food is amazing! I would say it is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been. We didn’t order too much, we ordered: Starters: Garlic bread - 8/10 Gamberi Tempura - 8/10 Bruschetta - 8/10 Mains: Penne campagnola (added prawns) - 9/10 Penne Arrabiata - 8/10 Spaghetti all’s carbonara - 8/10 I’d highly recommend

Came here for mothers day as a family to treat our parents. Service was really really bad. Had to ask 3 to 4 times for sauces and oils with the food. We had a ten minute wait for a jug of water. Won't be coming here again in the near future and won't be recommending this to family and friends.

We went on a weekday for lunch. Wasn’t that crowded. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. The food was amazing. Loved the starters and the main dishes. Prices are reasonable. There was enough parking around the building. Would definitely go again.

Amazing place, once you know you know, don't be scared by how busy it is, there is a reason! Cute boutique style place with an amazing venue, I'm a vegan and I love how many options can be veganised, for the vegetarians also many choices! Can't comment on the meat but it is well ventilated and if like me you dislike the smell of cooked dead animals don't worry! The restaurant is very well ventilated and there are no strong scents, you are free to enjoy, The locals love this place call and book but surprisingly outstanding in comparison to other Italian cuisines on the same street

The pasta is nice but there chicken dishes are not very nice they are very rubbery chicken so do not order them dishes stick to pasta only. It is a very expensive restaurant as well for what you get

Had a company Xmas dinner here. They were able to handle a relatively large group of us and provide an efficient service. Food was a set meal choice. Food was nice and sufficient.

Went for a catch up with 10 friends last night at Casa Mia in Hatch End. They have a Xmas menu special for lunch or dinner! 2 courses £20.95 or 3 courses £25.95 (see menu pic). The mushroom starter was divine 😋 If you like mushrooms & garlic, you're on to a winner and great portion size too! I had the seabass for main which was lovely and served with creamy mash, carrots, beans and cauliflower cheese...but also tried the lamb shank and the sirloin steak which were also very good! Everyone was happy with their meal and nothing sent back. Am giving them an 8.5/10. Had lunch with Sister on 24 October. Buzzing place, a local favourite. Prompt service and fair pricing. Large portions and standard Italian menu. Ordered salad, vegetarian pizza and lasagne with coffees after. Easy parking outside. Good for families and groups.

It was lovely to have authentic Italian food outside of Italy. The food and and service from the staff was fantastic. The food is well priced and the ambiance is very fitting. I would highly recommend trying the food and eating in.

I have never eaten at this establishment before, and wanted to try it out. The place did not disappoint, and the food we had was authentic and good value for money (early bird menu - 2 course for £16). We enjoyed our spaghetti Napoli, and main course of veal escalope and haddock both with mixed vegetables. Good service too.

I've tried many dishes off their menu and each one has been amazing. My fav is the ravioli! Staff are lovely and the ambience is the icing on the cake! In short....Love love love this place!!!

Walking in, the first thing that hit me was how busy it was. This is always a good sign in my eyes. The decor is different to most other places you go to, and brilliant to look around at while waiting for your food. We had no complaints with the food, it was brilliant and everyone walked away fairly contempt. Someone in our party had a salad with tuna in, and they felt the serving size of the tuna was too small, but they enjoyed the rest of the salad so no issue. My only gripe was the price. While not hugely expensive and probably about the going rate for a meal out at most places, it was pricey enough to make it very difficult to justify going out again a few weeks later, with disposal income at a pinch lately for most. 4 stars from us, brilliant and no real complaints.

Celebrated a friend's birthday here on Sunday. Very friendly, helpful staff. They checked if we had any dietary requirements. Food portions were ample! As it was a Sunday, we had no problem parking in the slip road adjacent to restaurant.

I went to Casa Mia last week. We were a group of 10 adults and 4 kids. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Amazing service with great taste. I will strongly recommend you to try Penne Campagnola and Gnocchi alla Melanzane

Horrible potato gnocchis, the tomato sauce tasted as if it was cooked days ago and the gnocchis weren’t fresh either. I do not recommend this dish from this restaurant.

Best Meat Lasagna in Hatch End!

Would be advisable to book in advance as the restaurant is popular and you may not be able to get a table. Food is exceptional here with everything being made fresh. The service is brilliant and staff are super friendly. Prices are reasonably. Have visited several times and never been disappointed once. Would definitely visit again and recommend it to others.

I'm a wheelchair user and found excellent access and parking was relatively easy there are even disabled parking space on this side of the road. The food portions are very generous and delicious. Highly recommended
