Castanea: sustainability and enjoyment in perfection. We had the honor of dining at the Castanea restaurant last weekend and we loved it. The Castanea offers modern cuisine using regional and international ingredients. The concept is based on sustainability and healthy nutrition. We chose the 7-course menu and were not disappointed. Castanea attaches great importance to the quality and origin of its ingredients. Most products come from the region and are sourced from local suppliers. Some food comes from abroad if it is not available or of high quality here. This also applies to the wine and drinks that come from renowned suppliers. Each course was a work of art of colors, shapes and flavors. The portions were just right to enjoy all the flavors. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and harmonized with each other. We particularly liked the accompaniment of the meal with great fruit juices (instead of wine, which would have been possible). A picture says more than 1000 words. Here are a few impressions of the great menu. Here the cook and the waitress are one and the same person. In any case, the service was excellent: super friendly, competent and attentive. Every dish was explained. We felt very well looked after. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere. The furnishings are stylish and modern. The lighting is pleasant and creates a romantic atmosphere. The only drawback was the high price of the menu. It was worth every penny, but certainly not something that could be done every day :-) Nevertheless, we can only recommend the Castanea to anyone who wants to treat themselves to something special."

What a great evening! The Castanea has a lot of charm and invites you to linger and is a place where everyone is welcome. The 9-course menu was a surprising experience and turned out to be a culinary dream trip. The beverage accompaniment was particularly pleasing: Anyone who wants to enjoy their meal without alcohol will be treated to delicious juices/drinks that perfectly match the course. We briefly had the opportunity to get to know the chef Andrew. An honest, down-to-earth doer who has mastered his craft excellently. We can recommend Castanea to everyone and will happily come back.

We went to the Valentine's special dinner at Castanea on February 14, 2023 and spent a wonderful evening there. The 7-course menu was not only very tasty and creative, but also a feast for the eyes. Here we cook with a lot of love and dedication. The atmosphere is very cozy and the employees are nice and accommodating. A culinary highlight. We'll definitely come by more often. (:

Loved it and totally worth the drive from Zurich. Excellent prepared dishes and super authentic and friendly service. They did a collab with equitable and am happy to have been there as well but preferred Castanea as it is little less stiff and more cozy.

Here the guest experiences a special kind of cuisine. The unexpectedly high-quality cuisine, where every course is prepared with passion and knowledge and the individual creations are served with equal hospitality, seduces the senses. This creates a digestible but witty masterpiece that turns the visit into a lasting and unforgettable memory. A very special evening/experience!

Fine dining very close to Pfäffikon ZH. The restaurant looks inconspicuous from the outside, but is definitely worth a visit. There is always the menu surprise, you just choose between 4-9(!) courses. There is a lot of emphasis on local products and every single course is creative and delicious. Of course, this is all reflected in the price. But you don't get to enjoy something like this every day. Friendly staff, the boss stops by for every course. We were quite impressed...

We spent a wonderful culinary evening in which we were spoiled from A to Z. There are several surprise menu courses to choose from that can be combined with wine or non-alcoholic drinks. The chef personally presents and presents the food at the table each time. You can see that he does this with passion. This restaurant is highly recommended.
