Central in Saas-Fee

Booked for 6 but they cancelled without telling us, so we are stuck 😕

Frankly, I don't understand the concept of this establishment apart from wanting to create unhappy customers who are not ready to set foot there again 🤨

More appearance than reality! From the worst gastro concept to the burnt burger and bad service, everything was there. A table was only available after a discussion despite the yawning empty restaurant.

The food wasn't bad, but the service was subpar! None of the entire staff could speak German properly. Despite multiple questions and explanations, the order was served completely incorrectly! Impossible to come back!

We were poorly received even though we had reserved. The waitress didn't even recognize that the mistake was theirs. One of their specialty is tartare. It wasn't seasoned, it didn't have anything special (no onion, no capers or anything) and we had to add salt, pepper and tabasco to get some flavor. The accompaniment to the tartare noted on the menu was garlic bread but we had 4 half toasts and 1 out of 2 was buttered with very little garlic. We ordered a salad (green at 9.- and mixed at 11.-) thinking of accompanying the tartare and it turned out that salad already accompanied our dish. The waitresses did not warn us that there was already some so they were able to save 31.- on the bill thanks to our 3 additional salads. The salad dressing was watered down and the salad was tasteless. We just had the impression of being inconvenient and only there to pay. No attention to customers since there are plenty of tourists looking for restaurants in the resort.

The quality of the meet could be improved. The service was below expectations. We many times requested things and they didn’t came at all or something else was served. A renovation is needed.

It was very good, the perfect entrecôte with salad It's true that the price is a little excessive.

US beef fillet was awesome. Food was on the table within 10 minutes of ordering. Recommended due to the large amount of meat with salad instead of fries. Sauces are good, but there should be 3 different ones and not just two. But that's just a suggestion and not a criticism. Price performance is completely okay. Gladly again...

Very good times spent in this establishment, just one star less for the too powerful smoke felt because not enough evacuations. Top service, seats too. The burger platters weren't that practical because we couldn't put our burger on a flat plate to attack it with a knife like some people sometimes like (like me). While eating it on the hot stone, I burned myself 🥴 then stained myself and my neighbor too because of the splashes of grease from the steak (we saw customers with a huge bib, we would have really appreciated if someone offered us some ...). ✨

No privacy, fried in small quantities too salty and bad. Meat to cook yourself is not at all the expectation I had, I am disappointed the service was terrible and the prices were much too high for what it is, I strongly advise against it.

Unfortunately the visit was a complete disappointment! Service overwhelmed! Missing meat declaration on the menu! Country Fries are advertised on the menu, but they serve plain fries! When we asked the cellar, we were told that there was no difference! The tartare is gray and tastes extremely garlicky! When we asked the waitress, we were told that the meat was pre-cut! Who knows how long the meat has been pre-cut! Red wine is served ice cold! The air is stuffy and foggy in the guest room! Conclusion: Price/performance is absolutely not right! Absolutely not recommended! Saas Fee has much better addresses!

Long waiting time. The place is full of smoke and the air is stuffy! Declarations and origins of the meat products on the menu are not clearly mentioned! Country Fries are regular fries.

Unfortunately, our visit to the Steakhouse Central in Saas-Fee was a bitter disappointment. The fries were the only positive thing on the menu - the rest was completely disappointing. The unbearable waiting times, the stuffy air in the restaurant and the lack of meat declaration on the menu left a bitter aftertaste. The prices seemed completely excessive for the quality offered. Overall, a disappointing and not recommended experience.

Concept of grilled meats on nice slate. But.... Unfriendly staff. Any food. High prices. I will not return to eat at this establishment again.

Attention: Danger of suffocation...... The air became more stuffy by the minute due to the roasting on the soapstones. Functioning ventilation would be essential for this concept!!! The tartare as a starter was a nice match for the air, gray and stinky!!!. The deer meat on the soapstone was ok although the meat had little to do with game meat. However, the vegetable side dish and the sauces also took away my desire for meat... Simply bad and then way too expensive.... NEVER AGAIN.... PS: The service did the best possible.....Thank you!

The Henniez was good, anything else is a disgrace for the catering industry. I don't know how you can work there with pride... the food was bad and way too expensive, but the service wasn't that great, it took a long time for the food to arrive and no one was interested in the feedback. The “wrong” snails are a mess!

The visit was disappointing! The taste of the food is ok at best. The prices are completely exorbitant and it was very stuffy in the restaurant. The meat declaration is also missing. Definitely not recommended!

Price-performance is unbelievable. For over 50.- lamb that was simply briefly fried and thrown on a hot stone is cheeky. The sauces and salt are also of snack bar quality. Not recommendable. The feedback was acknowledged but no explanation or apology was given.

Bad, unfriendly service. Very warm and smelly in the restaurant. Not an original Coca Cola - from concentrate. Waited an hour for two burgers. Cheap bread and poor meat quality. For 33 Fr. we expected a completely different burger. Mixed salad was swimming in a bad ready-made salad dressing. Not recommendable!!!

Not recommendable!! Very poor quality for this price. Most of the restaurants were fully booked / that's why we gave the steakhouse a chance... 1 hour waiting time. Never go back there

Friendly service but it took almost 1 hour to serve 3 hamburgers. Otherwise the food was good.

We’ve been waiting for 1 hour for them to tell us that they have run out of the veggie steak that we ordered. They replaced it with a plate of cooked veggies (they should not have made us pay for it, as an apology, but there’s nothing we could do about that).The food was good but the waiting was atrocious… Everything was just below everyone’s expectations

Very good burger on a slate to make yourself.

I had a burger and the presentation was very good with the hot stone, but that was about it with the positive feedback. The burger meat (33 CHF) was completely fried when it was served. The amount of meat and the quality also leaves a lot to be desired. The burger bread is also unreasonable for this price. The sauces are typical standard sauces from wholesalers. I am convinced that not a single ingredient in this burger was made in-house. E.g. The fries were also frozen goods from the wholesaler. For what is on offer, this restaurant is much, much too expensive and the burger is really not recommended. The waitress was cold and unfriendly, only the bar man was friendly. Ate here once but definitely the only time. At MC Donald's and Co you can get the same burger for half the price with much more taste.

Stay at the end of November and beginning of December 2023 During our short vacation in Saas Fee, my boyfriend, his family and I went to this restaurant for dinner. We all ordered the beef fillet (200g each) on the hot stone with country fries. We left out the vegetable side dish. The meat was tender and tasty. What I particularly noticed was that the stone retained its heat until it was removed. That gives an additional plus point. The service was neat and friendly. Price range rather expensive. There's nothing wrong with the cleanliness either. The atmosphere is cozy. I would visit this restaurant again and would happily recommend it.

I came with reservation with 2 friends. I am told there are no tables. I specify that I have a reservation, I am given a table (all without a single smile or apology) Then I noticed a more than abnormally high temperature in the restaurant. Then we were served after an hour of waiting. No excuses from the staff. The quality of the ribs was not there, both dry and tiny. I should point out that this is one of their specialties. Finally the table next to us orders lamb but gets beef! INCREDIBLE the chef comes out of the kitchen and maintains that it is lamb. Finally the cooking was mediocre STEAKHOUSE avoid

Don’t expect hospitality with a smile. Waitstaff could barely manage a smile and were boarding on rude. Whilst the food was ok, the service really let the experience down.

Inattentive service. It was my colleague's birthday and a surprise was promised. In the end, a dessert plate with 4 ice cream scoops was charged for Fr. 29. Not recommended.

Nice idea with the hot stone. But since the meat (RibEye) wasn't trimmed, I don't mean the fat eye. This makes it completely inedible from the outside, combine it with a dull steak knife and the star is ready. It's a shame actually, we were really looking forward to it.

Few customers, unfriendly staff and wild boar was tough

Steak tartare - which is one of their specialties according to the menu - was possibly the worst rendition of this dish I’ve had the misfortune to try. The meat was fresh, but bland, textureless and just painfully uninteresting. 1/3 of the dish was textbook canteen garnish, yes, shredded carrot on a leaf of lettuce and drowned in salad dressing. I also made the mistake of ordering their green salad. The dish they served me was a plate of chopped iceberg lettuce topped with 3 leaves of romain lettuce and all drowning in a puddle of their ‘Italian’ dressing. Honestly, why do they bother? - it’s like going back to the 1990s when nobody knew any better. Why 2 stars? The first star was because it’s the minimum score. The second star because service was efficient and polite. I ordered a Negroni and disturbingly was served something long and red. I asked if they’d added soda - they had, but to the servers credit she quickly replaced it with a proper Negroni. Well done for that at least.

The waitress was so rude that we preferred to laugh about it. Children's menu at 19CHF consisting of a micro piece of chicken and 10 fries that fight a duel.

The high rating is absolutely justified. The service was top notch, the food came relatively quickly and tasted good. The portion was too big for me and the wine was very tasty. I think you can already tell, I can highly recommend the restaurant.

I'm actually used to a lot of things. However, the service in this establishment is poor. A waitress who gets annoyed as soon as you ask questions. Very unfortunate. Food: Steak good. Chicken ok. Side dishes bland, sauces standard. Burger: unacceptable for 31 francs. Burger bread from the supermarket, frozen patty and bad side dishes. This is much better. Paid 240 francs with 5 people, it wasn't worth it. Conclusion: a restaurant that sells itself significantly more expensive than it actually is.

Good steakhouse with a corresponding selection of dishes and good service on site. I personally put a steak on a hot stone, which not only tasted very good, but was also served with delicious side dishes and two very good sauces. My business partners' dishes (see the attached pictures) also looked very good. Thanks to the team on site for the good evening. :-)

The overall experience was really good. Cook the meat yourself. The beef was excellent! The deer.... I know deee is usually strong but this one was bitter and unusual taste. Go for the beef :) Veggie burger is made of polenta and could be better with actually veggies :D Otherwise, great ambiance and great side dishes and sauces :)

Very nice atmosphere. Various dishes (e.g. steals) are served on a hot stone - you can then fry your own meat on this. Very good wine list, friendly service. I always enjoy coming here.

The meal was good, too bad a hair appeared on the meat. Despite our information, no reaction, no coffee offered, nothing because it's normal. The staff is very unattentive, we speak French which can explain the coldness of the place. Tried once, won't give them a second chance.

All in all a good restaurant with good meat dishes. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio of the salad is overpriced. It was a small plate of ONLY iceberg lettuce for 9 francs. Too steep in my opinion. The meat was really very good. The panna cotta without vanilla? I wouldn't take it again either. Conclusion: meat yes! Starter and dessert a clear no!
