Channa in Brig-Glis

We had an excellent meal! Fine pizza, a Valais specialty and a very good local white wine from Brig. The seating is also very comfortable. Excellent!

The reservation wasn't at the right time, the beef tartare was dry. The bars invite you to play Jenga

I have been a satisfied guest at the Channa in Brig for years. The Italian cuisine is excellent, the service is prompt and correct, and the prices are moderate. I recommend this restaurant without reservation and hereby award it 5 stars.

We stayed in Visp and came here to just eat food in brig as we had read a lot of reviews about this place and it was indeed a good spot, but make sure you reserve before hand to avoid disappointment. We found the service bit slow, but it was covered by the amazing food We ordered: 1. Chicken Cordon Bleu - the dish born in brig, The chicken was expertly fried, and the melted cheese added a delightful touch. 2. The Beef Stroganoff was truly mind-blowing, with an exceptional blend of flavors and a sauce that stood out as the best I've had. 3. Tiramisu: WAS JUST WOW In general, the food was simply fantastic, and it didn't put a strain on our wallets.

Actually everything is OK. but the service was totally impersonal. No smile or friendly word from the waiter, never asked about wine, just: not quite what I expected.

For 5 stars, that certain something is missing. For example, the salad (green salad) should be prepared with “more love”.

Extremely bad service. Head waiter only gave us 1 hr to eat. Travelled with a tour group, willing to pay for extra food from their menu but the waiter said we only had an hour to eat. Snatched away the menu and said this is not for us. We can only eat the set. Kept saying very busy. We need to hurry up eat and get out.

Just a great Italian restaurant. Very friendly staff and hardly any waiting times. I can highly recommend the large, fine wood-fired pizza. Garden very pleasant and cool even in summer during midday. Try plates with game garnishes. Mmmm fine.

The food is very good and I would recommend a visit to everyone. We were there twice. The service is incredibly prompt and well coordinated. But what costs a star in my opinion is that the service is very professional and friendly, but seems a bit aloof.

On a trip to Brig with a large group of seniors, I stopped at the Channa restaurant for lunch. The offer was plentiful and inexpensive. The service was friendly and competent. A fine Johannisberg rounded off the meal. I can recommend the restaurant at any time.

Had dinner with my brother and father. Each wanted something totally different : meat, italian, cheese. The menu of the Channa covered everything: from pasta to risotto, gnocchi, pizza, Cordon bleu, beef, chässchnitte / croûte au fromage, fondue, etc. And they delivered! All three were quite satisfied with the quality of their food. Channa has a quite large space. Inner rooms and the covered patio in the back of the house are comfortable and were not overly noisy, in spite of the affluence. Service was competent, attentive and friendly. All in all, we were impressed. Good quality in spite of a huge variety of choice, good service and fast delivery in spite of large and full restaurant. Bravo! I will return when again in Brig.

The waiter cleared my plate before my friend had finished eating, that's not right, and the plate of roast beef was magnificent, but in my opinion the meat should have been fresher

It's always a hit to eat there...I've been there before. Very much worth it.

The food was really very good. The restaurant has a daily menu and - I think - three weekly menus. At lunchtime the food came very quickly. I recommend sitting outside if possible. Because of the pizza oven inside, you can taste like pizza afterwards. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. As already mentioned, the food comes quickly. You don't want to wait long, especially at lunchtime. Gladly again!

Channa is an amazing restaurant in the middle of Brig, this is my first time to be in Switzerland, if you are looking for a literally delicious 😋 Italian and Swiss food, I highly recommend it for you.. I won't as well forget to complement indicating the diligent staff.. Respect to the cheif, the staff and the amazing friendly Brig... Definitely I'll comeback to eat in this remarkable restaurant

Had Pizza Diavola unfortunately the pizza was bland and had no taste at all. And at 3 a.m. I got up with stomach cramps. It's a shame for such a cool atmosphere.

Very nice restaurant. Food is top. Unfortunately, their service seems quite hectic. As soon as you order, the food is already on the table. Anyone who strives for that is perfect. I prefer something a little more comfortable for dinner.

We were welcomed very friendly. Four options for seating: outside (street), pizzeria (with a view of Pizzaiolo), restaurant (traditional), inner courtyard (also for smokers). Despite the size, the family atmosphere is noticeable. We had Italian food three times. 😋😊 Price-performance ratio was optimal. I can only warmly recommend it.

Was here alone for dinner. The veal liver with hash browns was very good. The service was... well... quick! (The cozy dining room was almost empty) Not rude and actually didn't do anything wrong, but cold, unwarm and curt. You simply lose the desire to stay a little longer to enjoy a dessert or an espresso.

Stiff staff who don't see the customers. No tip given for the first time in years. Food was acceptable. This was once my father's favorite restaurant. There isn't much left of it. Unfortunately.

Maybe my choice of food wasn't perfect, but for almost 40 CHF a plate of fries with veal schnitzel without any side dish, nooo thx. I'm really not demanding, but this snubbed me a bit. It's so easy to let your eyes eat too. If so, then pizza soon...

Restaurant interior appealing, too many tables on the terrace in the courtyard, it is very narrow and loud. Service was great. Green salad with ready-made sauce, saffron risotto unnaturally orange color, taste is strange. The food seems carelessly cooked and is not attractively presented.

Pretty cheap for a Swiss restaurant and very well made and delicious CHANNA pizza. Kids had chicken nuggets that were actually made of chicken ad tasted like it as well. The kalbschnitzel is also a great choice if you fancy something different. Great atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. People who complain about prices really should have gone to Italy or France instead of Switzerland.

Just popped in for some beers and pizza. We were clearly tourist and they gave us a "stray dog" discount 😂 a few other them spoke english very well which made it easy for us. Beer was good. Pizza was great. Gnocchi was good.

Very friendly staff, excellent food and drinks, all at a normal price! Can only be recommended, this place is also a reference for us in the Upper Valais to see again with joy....Sisch hüere güet gsi ;-) The self-made strawberry cake was exquisite, one of the best in terms of dessert bravo ;-)

Really very good restaurant. We were in Brigerbad with my girlfriend and were looking for a restaurant close enough and we came across this one and had a great time! Very warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere. It is well worth the detour!
