I can only recommend this place both for the food, the service and the atmosphere. For wine and cigar lovers this is the ideal place. The smokehouse is steeped in history. As a Sierrois, I am very proud to find this place in my hometown.

The exterior of this place is very well maintained. Large choice of wines and types of cheese varieties on a buffet during certain periods and in unlimited raclette. Service a little long. The quality of the products is really good

Enchanting location where you can eat various local dishes. The tasting of 5 raclettes with the consequent possibility of rearranging your favorites at will with a contrino of potatoes, pickled gherkins and pickled spring onions. The cheese is excellent and local to the canton. You can eat on site or buy the local cheeses offered and take them home. The service is relatively quick and the potions are good. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves raclette or bedlam to try it for the first time.

Château de Villa, the wine shop and the raclette restaurant We had already had wine tastings in Valais and wanted to bridge the 1/4 hour wait until the raclette with a visit to the wine shop. Well, we were overwhelmed by the range of wines and schnapps from Valais on display. We were a little lost. But we are already taken by the hand by the sommelier Edoardo Morgagni and guided and advised on “our” wines. Afterwards, Edoardo surprises us with the famous Glacier wine, served straight from the barrel. What a positive surprise, we like the cuvé from Haida, Resi and Marsanne very well, without any oxidative note. We can happily do without the actual glacier wine, which is carted up to Grimentz in the Val d’Annivier. Finally, we tasted Williams and found and bought our favorite. Afterwards, Edoardo accompanies us directly to the restaurant to eat raclette. Here we tried 5 different raclette cheeses, à discretion. In the future we will think three times before buying the mass-produced raclette cheese from the supermarket. We were surprised by the “Raclettier”, who constantly served the raclette plates table by table and then served them up again with a new plate. He memorized the exact location throughout the restaurant without any aids, chapeau. Conclusion: recommended as an introduction to the Valais wines and schnapps and also their cheese specialties. It's not the Savoyard raclette served with a little cold meats and salad, but the 6 cheeses were very good. Beautiful service room in a castle

Wow. Oh wow. Oh wow. I’ve never had a meal like this. Raclette is like a shaved and melted cheese. Here it’s all from the valley, and paired with a local wine, the meal is heavenly. The pickles were also phenomenal This was fantastic food and environment. Highly recommend.

The principle of raclette at your discretion: Test 5 AOP cheeses from 5 different producers (this changes regularly), then decide which ones you will use. All this in a magnificent setting and a service that is as welcoming as it is friendly. We came back and we will come back!

Came for the TCS brisolée PLEASANT PLACE

We had Raclette. It was amazing, filling, and unique. We ordered mushrooms and zucchini as well. The wine was spectacular. The service was exceptional, and they explained where each cheese and meats came from.

Raclette tasting menu, 5 cheeses at your discretion. Excellent choice of cheese and very interesting to compare regions. The giant 😉 who served us is very professional and advises him for the wine as well. The wine list is enormous and there are very rare grape varieties on offer.

Simply good and fabulous environment

The location has great charm. An old castle that has integrated modern elements and can be used for great wine tastings or small celebrations. The menu could have a little more variation and be structured a little differently, but the staff and the ambience make up for it all. The fondues and cheese variations are very well coordinated. The restaurant is suitable for a nice trip in summer or winter in both seasons. The terrace is very spacious and beautifully landscaped in summer.

Impeccable welcome and service, warm and friendly atmosphere. Very large selection of wine. I recommend this establishment with my eyes closed.

Excellent restaurant in Sierre with an atypical setting. The strong point is the raclette served on the all-you-can-eat plate where you are presented with 5 different types of raclette to start with then as much as you like and cheeses of your choice for 36.- per person. Impeccable service. Really very good address. If you have not booked on Saturday evening, I advise you to arrive at 6 p.m. at the start of the service.

Terrible service! We had reserved a room with wine and Valais dishes (in advance) and once seated, after the wait, the waiter stupidly said to people: "Red or white?" When you serve wines at 9.- /dl, the least you can do is present the cellar and the grape variety, in this case Cornalin and Petite Arvine. The whole family, in the broad sense, was there, and I was ashamed of the most beautiful wine shop in the region. A word of advice to everyone, go straight to the Cave! Choose Domaine des Bernunes or Caves du Paradis. The aperitif without misunderstanding

The cheese fondue was so delicious. I tasted five wines this time, three after-dinner high-quality wines. Each wine tasted different, from light to dark, which was great. Simply a classic! I highly recommend.

This is probably one of the best places for exclusive raclettes in Switzerland and without any doubt, it has the most complete collection of Wallis wines in the country. I had dinner here last night after having traveled from the Jungfraujoch at almost 3500 m altitude in the canton of Berne to Sierre via the Lötschberg tunnel, taking me through the mountains from Kandersteg to Goppenstein in 16 minutes only. For once, I ordered meat and was served one of the best quality of Val d'Herence steaks I have ever eaten, accompanied by a glass of Pinot Noir from Denis Mathier in Salquenen. Good value for money, pleasant and competent staff and well worth a visit, not only for eating but also for their wine cellar/store and wine museum. You can purchase wines difficult to find elsewhere at competitive prices.

I have been receiving the letter from the Château with the menu for a long time, it made me really want to go there. Today on vacation in Switzerland (I specify we are French) we tested and not at all disappointed. Especially the choice of 5 raclette cheeses. I'm sure I'll go back. Excellent Swiss restaurant in a very beautiful setting. The fondue was excellent and the wine list to accompany it is more than exhaustive. The attentive and good advice staff. It is better to book, the terrace was full during our visit.

The cheese fondue there is a delight. Raclette is always brought fresh on a plate by the waiter. It is freshly scraped from the loaf in the dining room. It's very comfortable to sit here. The food is delicious! A visit to the wine cellar is definitely worth it!

First of all, the food was good and the service was adequate. However, my prior request for a table outside was ignored by the staff. After asking, the response was simply "all outdoor tables are full". Instead, we were placed in a small and too hot room, where we felt very uncomfortable. Not good for business - instead of enjoying the food and staying for a few more glasses of wine, we left as soon as we finished our food. Therefore only two stars out of five.

We called on Château de Villa for our wedding last February, on the menu: All-you-can-eat Raclette. The team was able to anticipate the slightest hiccups that could have occurred, we can see that they are used to it and know the constraints of their equipment. They were very attentive and very responsive during the preparations. We also called on their service staff who were super efficient. We were delighted with this service and can only recommend it. The atmosphere was friendly, the guests were delighted and so were we! Adrianne and Jonathan

Regrettably very disappointing. A triumph of style and self promotion over substance. Average over hyped and overpriced food. Very limited selection. Unprofessional service (Cyrille - off hand, patronising, incompetent) and strange customer base. No vibe and no people watching. Wine and coffee acceptable. Avoid - far better places locally unless you have more money than taste or sense.

5* for the setting, the cheese buffet and the staff. 1* bonus for Cyrille, nature-painting server and very good advisor. A lovely evening, I recommend.

Very nice address, warm and smiling welcome for an excellent boletus fondue! The service is impeccable, a real pleasure to come and dine in this little corner and under the Valais sun always there. We had a table in a small corner, under an umbrella with a view of the sundial. The icing on the cake was that the espresso was very good and the prices were really reasonable! To do again, thank you!

Unfortunately a disappointment. I was here once about 10 years ago and had fond memories of this restaurant. The raclette is still very good, but unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed. The food for our child was completely forgotten and to make matters worse, the second drink for our son was also forgotten. Even when our wine glasses were empty, no one asked if we wanted to order another glass and the water bottle simply remained empty. I understand that a raclette is not fast food. However, we only ate 5 portions of cheese in 2 hours. In the evening this might still be somewhat okay, but at lunchtime I think it would have to be much quicker. This has nothing to do with “à discretion”. We would actually have liked to eat more and try the dessert, but we still had to travel further. Also the desire for more, or We have clearly missed the chance to visit again. And one more thing: the staff is walking around without breathing masks. Still somewhat ok outside, but unfortunately this is also the case when something is fetched from the kitchen. Personally, I just think that's completely wrong in the current situation.

A place to recommend without reservation. The staff is very friendly, the dishes are varied, local of course, but you also get international cuisine. The wine list is breathtaking with a very wide choice where Valais wines are obviously very well represented. Don't miss tasting raclettes from local cheese factories. I have been going to Château de Villa for years, I have never been disappointed. Bon appetit and health!

Telephone reservation confirmed for 2 x 8pm. The table is not available when we arrive on time. We are on the terrace of the bar and have an aperitif. After 20 minutes we are again told that the table is not available. Unfriendly and unprofessional staff. Truly a lapse in style, shame.
