For me, the 10 grain bread and the Parapan bread are the best bread available in the region. The sales staff in the underpass are always friendly and helpful. 👍

For Christmas a friend brought us a coffee cake from the city or from the "Confiserie Eichenberger". Unfortunately, none of my guests were able to really enjoy this dessert. The cake looked good at first glance and you felt addressed. But after the first bite you didn't want it anymore. The cake sponge was far too dry and the rest of the work of art had no taste at all, i.e. neither like coffee nor anything like that. Personally, I left the piece I started on my plate. Most of the guests also left their pieces of the “Eichenberg coffee cake” lying around. I'm not speaking here as a simple consumer. I have been a professional for many years and hold a (certificate) or a federal qualification certificate for baker@confectioner. If I had rated this cake as a professional, the grade for the work would have been unsatisfactory. I.e. in numbers a 2.5 at most a close 3.0 I won't comment further. But charging customers such prices for this work is really audacious. No recommendation ! ... the rest of the cake was thrown away and ended up on the garbage heap the next day.

The product is 1A, but has its price, which is justified in terms of quality. So far I haven't had anything to complain about in terms of the friendliness of the staff, but that has changed after my visits yesterday and today. Yesterday and this afternoon bad-tempered employees behind the counter, unfriendly and in a bad mood....reluctantly packed the delicious Aspic. It's a shame because as a customer I really don't want to be treated like that. This applies to both employees who were there, a smile doesn't cost anything. Other customers were also treated this way. Serving customers courteously is the top priority in this business. Anyone who works like this without any joy definitely has the wrong job. Maybe employee training on customer service would be a point for the owner?

Eichenberger makes my absolute favorite bread, the 10-grain bread. Today I had a saleswoman who was already obvious that she didn't feel like it and when I asked her to cut 5 pieces of bread for me she did it (apparently reluctantly). When I wanted to have a picnic with my child, I saw how carelessly the bread was cut. That was very disappointing because even my 3 year old can do it better.

I would like to emphasize that my rating only applies to the ham croissants. A truly horrible product. No idea what kind of paste they use as filling. In terms of taste, it has absolutely nothing to do with ham. Tastes more like an outdated, low-quality Mettwurst. Brrrrr. Answer: I'm not implying low quality, just that it tastes that way. In fairness, I would like to add that the dough surrounding the filling is excellent.

Sandwiches are too expensive. 2 slices of cheese. No tomatoes, lettuce or cucumbers. Very disappointing, a shame

Very fine selection of bakery products, although a little more expensive than other bakeries. I particularly like the Schoggiweggli (the best in Bern!) and the apple cake.

Quality is very important here, so the price is higher than other retailers but fair. Sweet gift ideas and souvenirs are easy to find here

Sensational sandwiches and sandwiches

Confiserie Eichenberger has a large selection of patisserie, pralines, chocolate products and desserts such as vermicelles and ice creams. My favorite are the punch hedgehogs, which you can get for one or four people. Salads or sandwiches are also offered at lunchtime. You are always served very politely both at the counter and in the adjacent café. The interior is classic, reminiscent of Viennese cafés. Enjoy the visit. FG Anita Ruch

Only Eichenberger's butter croissants are the best. No others will enter my stomach! The price of them is also reasonable, but generally too expensive.

At Easter I gave my girlfriend an Easter egg (filled with chocolates), a chicken and an Easter bunny. Cost over 80.- With the chicken the taste was irritating, not tasty, but couldn't define what it was. So I sent Confiserie Eichenberger an email asking whether there could be a production error, etc. with the chicken. Unfortunately I didn't get an answer :-(

The café is located at the back of the confectionery. The furnishings are getting old - and perhaps that's why they exude a certain charm. The cream for coffee is served here in a small metal or porcelain jug, and not in brown plastic. Friendly, fast and professional service. I want to learn how to write good reviews. Bread tastes like baked bread from the supermarket.

Because of further training, I'm here every Saturday morning and treat myself to the best Schoggiweggli in Bern. The staff is always friendly and serves promptly.

The Bernese hazelnut gingerbread are great! Confiserie Eichenberger also always offers a variety of beautiful chocolate specialties. Also worth mentioning are the chocolate rolls and the delicious plaited sandwiches.

No more croissants at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. Prices overpriced

Worst sandwich in a long time. Fr. 4.60 for a dry Weggli with some meat. There will probably be no fresh bread on Sunday.
