Confiserie Roggwiller in St. Gallen

The place is nice and desserts are good. However, the inefficiency of the service. The staff is slow. You have to carry own pastery to tea room. They also wait 20 minutes to ask if you want to drink something.

Such a cozy, wondrous place. Hidden behind a confectionery shop, a special class café opens up. Fine delicacies created with love. Only the coffee seemed a bit watery or brewed too hot. The place is still highly recommended for an extraordinary experience.

While visiting St. Gallen, we shopped at the Confiserie Roggwiller. Sensational and excellent products. Although they are extremely expensive, they are of excellent quality.

Actually a nice confectionery, but the packaging of the patisserie leaves more than to be desired! I bought a Savarin and a Vermicelles. This was actually placed in two boxes that were placed inside each other and wrapped with paper, so you can no longer see the top and bottom. At home everything was upside down, the Savarin syrup in the vermicelles and the cream decorations were spread everywhere. As a garnish on the Savarin there is a cardboard sign...

I've enjoyed coming here for many years! The selection of delicacies...e.g. Pumpkin quiche with salad... or a sophisticated dessert... with the winter hit saffron milk with honey... already tried it? I do...go there and be amazed...I'm a huge fan!!!

Stepped in there a little randomly and OMG how great it was! Cakes were amazing, massepain was delicious and so many drinks to choose from. Service was really great too.

I have rarely seen a place in the catering industry that allows so little change over decades. The business is not keeping up with the times at all. It's really a shame that there is almost nothing on the menu for people with lactose intolerance, for example. Nothing is signposted either. The people have mastered the craft of confectionery to perfection; there is never anything inferior or imperfect. And I believe they could offer great dairy and egg free options. A change would be highly desirable.

Fantastic patisserie in Switzerland, atmosphere of a palace, great service, the food and quality drinks are worth a special trip if you are traveling in Switzerland, highly recommended, not to be missed even if the prices are a little high, simply because quality is more expensive!!!

Ordered and paid for three Grand Marnier cakes over the phone. When the cakes arrived they were totally messed up. In response to a complaint, I had to send photos only to be exposed to the suspicion that I had photographed the same cake three times. Are they still okay? I couldn't present this mess to the guests, apart from that more or less the entire Grand-Manner had ended up in the mailbox and no longer where it was supposed to be. Last but not least, I'm supposed to drive from Zurich to St. Gallen to deliver the crushed cakes there or what or what???? As a replacement I had to go to Zug to get a Zug cherry cake from Treichler!!! So much for HOME LOVE! Just this much: It's well known that people throw everything around at the post office - right? Even the unspeakable Styrofoam flakes are of no use. You just have to label the packages accordingly with “fragile” if you want the contents to arrive in their entirety. And filling material like these unspeakable flakes is actually forbidden! I think blaming the post for scapegoat status is shabby! I would like my money back, at least the horrendous express postage!

Very nice coffee in the old town of St.Gallen. Really good coffee and various canapés or patisserie. Carefully prepared small meals are also served. The furnishings are very classic in the style of early 20th century coffee houses, some with original furniture. In principle suitable for barrier-free visits but a little tight depending on occupancy (large wheelchairs/electric wheelchairs). Very friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended for tourists too!
