Great location just 50 meters from Winterthur HB, 3 floors high. What is disadvantageous is that people with small children and strollers cannot get in. Exactly the same as wheelchair drivers can get in almost to a few places but nothing else.

The worst Thai curry I have ever eaten in a Coop restaurant! Absolutely too salty and the rice was overcooked. Never again!

I like this Coop restaurant. At lunchtime I usually take a medium plate for 9.90 and fill it with things from the warm buffet. There you can usually get fries, something seasonal like... In autumn there is deer pepper and sauerkraut, there are always vegetables, meat (e.g. chicken) and usually also pasta or rice. Always tastes great. The service is also very friendly, especially the young gentleman at the checkout. My friend also had a breaded schnitzel in the evening and it was good. The boss was very friendly and prepared another one shortly before the end.

I ordered a chicken burger, it was burnt. I ordered another one and it was burned too.

In principle, the food would have been good, but since the entrecôte was not cooked as ordered (rare instead of medium), it was almost impossible to cut the meat. There were also no steak knives available. (last visit it was exactly the same)

We were there on Thursday around 6 p.m. It was incomprehensible that no warm food had already been prepared. The salad buffet was poor. Only a few choices left. Then you don't have to keep the restaurant open until 8 p.m. A restaurant like this actually thrives on the fact that you know what you can do and get something quickly. Which is especially important with children. But everything would still work to some extent. But what I will never understand: how you can be unfriendly to customers. With a lot of imagination you could only interpret the cashier's murmur as a "thank you". Fitted seamlessly into the image of your otherwise lacking friendliness. Even my children felt that this staff was very unfriendly. A pity.

Actually, this small restaurant on the top floor of Coop City has everything you need for a perfect restaurant: It is extremely centrally located, the food is very good and there is enough space. But the last point in particular is surprising - there is actually only enough space because of the lack of guests. So why is this restaurant obviously not very popular? Well, I often come here for my evening meal. And it is simply the case that it is very confusing which menus are available to choose from. This is also because most of the counters are closed in the evening - but it is confusing for visitors as to where they can get something. The cook isn't much help either, he's not rude, but he only gives sparse information due to the stress. If you manage to get an overview, you'll notice that there are only four menus to choose from in the evening. This fact, together with the chaotic design, quickly makes it seem as if the restaurant is more or less already closed. Personally, I think that's a bit of a shame - and on the other hand, the restaurant is becoming an insider tip. The four menus are well thought out and very reasonably priced. So if you can accept the fact that you won't find the usual selection of menus here, you'll get your money's worth. And the operator should actually be thanked for his strategy. Even if the salad buffet looks very sparse, it is completely sufficient. And there is guaranteed to be not as much waste left behind at the end of operations as there is over in the Manor or Neuwiesen. Nevertheless, I would like to add one or two classics (like Schnippo or Rahmschnitzel) that are permanently on offer.
