Best sourdough bread in town (and probably far and wide)!!!

We've been absolutely thrilled with Copain's pastries for a long time! The products are of top quality and the bread, croissants and savory pastries are simply heavenly. Now we also attended the sourdough workshop at Copain and it also more than met our expectations. Everything was super organized and we were guided through all the steps of baking sourdough bread. We were particularly thrilled that we were able to lend a hand ourselves and take lots of bread and dough pieces with us to finish baking at home! During the workshop we were also treated to wonderful baked goods and fine drinks. You can tell that there is a lot of love and passion in Copain and we can recommend both the workshop and the products to everyone.

Number 1 bakery in the entire canton of bern! You should try their pizza dough, its super high hydration and just ends up delicious! I go there every saturday morning for pain au chocolat and the pastrami croissant thingy... i just love it.

The hit!!!! We were able to easily reserve the order in advance. We ate the particles (except for one) right around the corner of the house. One was better than the other… when we come to Bern we will definitely stop by again. It was a pleasure!!!

Definitely a „must-do“ if you are either living in or just visiting Bern. I can recommend the pain au chocolat and the surdough sesame bread. Please note that you will have to line up in the morning, at least on Saturdays :)

Best croissants in Switzerland. Seri in Zurich can pack up. Cinnamon buns too mmmmmmhhhh. Please make morning buns from Tartine Bakery🙏, if anyone can do it, it's you.

Best sourdough bread in town, preorder online if you want to make sure you get everything you wanted. Only Thursday and Saturday. They also offer sourdough courses. Love their cardamom buns, canelé and croissants too.

Bakery/thrift store/botanic/m.meuble in short, an alternative self-managed space! Negotiable and very attractive price except for the bakery and its delicious buns with different flavors: cinnamon, cardamom, pistachio or panettone. It's a shame that we can't stay in this place, because the staff and the location are very suitable! Pay attention to the hours: open only from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, yeah it's tendax 😎

I only tried the sesame bread but it is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend ! And the owner is very flexible and accommodating.

We originally only wanted to get a few croissants – and ended up leaving with a whole variety of goodies. Ever since then we’re craving to go back for more. As you step in, there’s a really good chance you’ll feel the same way: these guys are a unique bunch who are totally living their passion for sour dough with Copain. A true gem in the local bakery scene.
