Cresta in Quarten

I was there with a group who had made reservations weeks in advance, we waited 2 hours for the food. The food, however, was beautifully presented and wonderfully prepared, all on hot plates. Very fine!

Last December the food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and cordon bleu and schnitzels were hand battered. 2 months later and the quality has changed 180 degrees… schnitzels were deepfried and of the frozen kind. Tasteless and so dry. 5 stars for December. 1 star for the food now. Hence a 3 star review because restaurant and staff are fine.

Our afternoon reservation was for 8 people, including 3 children. We were served very friendly and attentively. Particular attention was paid to the children; they were immediately given coloring sheets. After ordering drinks, the food order was also taken, although we had to wait a while. However, thanks to the waiter's attentiveness, we did not remain thirsty. The pizza was divinely delicious. The children didn't complain either. I can recommend it to everybody. Definitely worth a visit for value for money and worth spending 1-2 hours on this wonderful terrace with a view.

It was our first time at Cresta and we tried the surprise menu. We paid CHF 66 per person for 4 courses with wine accompaniment. Great value for money.

We spent the skiing days with our 6 classes in the Flumserberge and had lunch in the Cresta restaurant. We felt very welcome and the team was very friendly. Serving 130 people (including 114 children) in 1.5 hours is a not-so-easy task that this team mastered excellently. They were incredibly patient, very helpful and generous. We all really enjoyed the food and are looking forward to another year at Cresta. A big thank you to the whole crew!

At first we just wanted to have a drink here, but then we decided to get a pizza. The staff was very attentive. Namely, they noticed that the wrong drink had been served before I noticed and replaced it in time. The pizza (Popeye) was better than expected and we can happily recommend this restaurant. I'd love to come back!

We didn't get a map. The waitress was very distracted, didn't note our table number, then didn't know what we ordered. When we weren't even halfway through, she wanted to collect, but she couldn't find us in the system, searched for 5 minutes and then simply charged something. She also left a tray full of dirty dishes and leftover food on our table and forgot to clear it away. Another operator then put it away after 15 minutes.

I went to the old Cresta Restaurant every winter and everything was always great...now I noticed that there was a change of ownership...I'm not thrilled but I thought: lets give it a try...bad idea. Unfortunately the food I ordered wasn't good and be careful, it was "just" Röschti with a fried egg... typical Swiss, yes, shouldn't be a problem... but... I really couldn't eat this sticky stuff and it was too salty, burnt and... not even nice to look at. The staff is overwhelmed, I had to get up to ask if I could have some water and the new waiter had no idea what was on the menu, let alone whether anything was missing from the food I ordered... in my opinion a disaster. It's a shame because I enjoyed being here. Time to look around again.

Open 365 days a year, excellent service, and the Rehgeschnetzeltes mit Pilzen (in Autumn) and Egliknusperli are our favorite. The side dishes provide a delightful variety of vegetables and fruits. The price-performance ratio is also excellent.

We (3 women with 10 children) came to the restaurant last Monday during the (autumn holidays) at around 4 p.m. and ordered French fries, ice cream and various drinks. We had a great lunch on the terrace. The price-performance ratio was great. Salad, soup and menu for under 20.-. The portion was very large and the service was attentive, even though she was alone and a few tables were occupied.

This is a place we go to quite often, but today's experience was the worse you can have. Slow, talking down to, and my Pinsa was a slap in a face. I ordered it because my neighbor had it and it was impressive and tasty looking. Unfortunately for me, this is a sad piece of dough I got. Judge for yourself. I was told the chef said this is the ratio you get and would come out to resolve the issue, and you've guessed it right, never came. I understand sometimes food can be unsatisfactory but when service personnel is rude on top of everything, makes it even more disappointing.

I originally gave it 5 stars because the food and selection are really great. My husband and I were there almost every weekend. Now the owner has set up his office in the guest room and was talking loudly on the loudspeaker during my last visit. I generally find talking on the speakerphone when people are nearby to be disrespectful. I told him that it was very irritating, but he just said there was no other way. Well then, there are plenty of other more cozy restaurants in the area.

Cozy restaurant with delicious schnitzel and Cordonbleu menu. The service is attentive and friendly even when it's full. The terrace invites you to linger and the view around the hotel is magnificent. It's nice to have a drink after skiing or hiking. There are enough parking spaces in front of the house. I'd love to go there again👍⛄💫

After the landlord recently changed, the Cresta is not anywhere near the level it was. The food came after 45 minutes (with a moderate number of guests), the French fries were all soggy, the salad was made with ready-made sauce. The daily menu was okay, but more of a children's portion (I generally prefer smaller portions, but that wasn't enough for me) and we had to wait 45 minutes for that too. The service was friendly but overwhelmed. Price/performance is not right at all! We won't be coming back anytime soon 😑.

The staff is totally overwhelmed. Over lunch I waited 40 minutes for the food. The same situation at 4 p.m. To order a coffee I had to go to the restaurant staff after waiting 20 minutes. After ordering, it took another 30 minutes for the coffee to arrive. In between I was asked by three different employees whether I had already ordered :-(
