Average food, but staff tell me that there is service charge about 9 chf plus from 78chf of my receipt when I call a bill, so they charge me totally 86chf. I don’t know it before that this restaurant has service charge for custumer.

Excellent location for outdoor dining. Very good service and the staff was very attentive. The food was decent and delivered very quickly. What I do have to add is that unlike other restaurants in Switzerland, their prices were a little more affordable, without exaggerating!!! Obviously what makes this restaurant special is its location next to the lake.

No waiting, standard price for Switzerland, water 1 liter 11.50 francs....the pizzas are big at least and the pasta very good

First of all, I would like to tell you that I did not use the restaurant. That's because the staff here openly discriminated against Asians. The menu wasn't in English, so I just asked if there was an English menu, but they just pointed to my eyes with two fingers and told me to look at something posted on the wall. Wow.. I felt really crappy at that time. I still get nervous when I think about it... That expression and that gesture were amazing. The employee was a woman. Latino fever? Provide proper employee training Please train your staff properly

I highly recommend Ristorante Da Ernesto. We got a table straight away even though the restaurant was almost fully booked. We got something to drink and eat very quickly. Apricot Spritz, Bruschetta and 2 huge pizzas, all so delicious! Very friendly staff! Very fair price when you are in the old town and next to the Chapel Bridge and Reuss, very nice view.

For an Italian restaurant abroad I am more than satisfied, we took a sea bass fillet and a carbonara, for this last dish the recipe is a little revisited but it is still good, the staff was very kind and two of us ate on a Saturday evening without a reservation, the place was full but they still found a place for us. I will certainly return, the final bill is obviously high by Italian standards but at the right price for Swiss ones, plus you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Lucerne. I advise .

Yesterday we were on the terrace at 2:10 p.m. and wanted to have something to drink. We were told off in a very rude manner, saying that you can only eat until 2:00 p.m. You don't have to serve guests in a friendly way, even if you just want to have a drink. We don't want to visit this restaurant again can't be missed 🙈🙈🙈

We were once at this restaurant and enjoyed their pizza. But the owner/manager is very rude, he behaves unrespectfully. I wanted to have a dinner with my husband there, and before we went inside, we had a beer in a bar just nearby. We were sitting on the chairs and the waiter from da Ernesto came out and asked us to move our chairs, because they were consealing their menu-shield. We said that we need 5 more minutes and moved the chairs a bit. But then the owner/manager came outside and almost screamed at us, as we " block a view" on his shield. After such a welcome, we went to another restaurant. I don't think I will visit it again or recommend to anyone.

It's really not my thing. The pasta is very dry. Fortunately, I added olive oil to make it taste better.

Too bad the Italian restaurant doesn't know what prosciutto is

Despite the fact that it was very busy, we were served very friendly and quickly. We had 2 children with us, which was no problem at all. The children's pizza came in the shape of a rabbit. It was great! The dishes were well prepared, only the French salad dressing was tasty Not me, it wasn't homemade! I would eat there again in a heartbeat, but not at LILU.

This restaurant is a surprise for me. The homemade cannelloni were delicious and I enjoyed them. Maybe portion a little too small for me, but I can't complain either. I'd love to come back.

Good Italian food, good service and friendly staff who can also speak English

We ordered spaghetti carbonara twice on January 10, 2024. It remains to be seen whether the waitress knows what friendliness means in the guest area. I don't think the chef knows what al dente means. The spaghetti wasn't fully cooked, it was still far too hard, the cream sauce was only available on the menu, instead of ham, cheap bacon was used and fried far too long. Our complaint after eating was also only accepted. Those in charge of the company don't dare to step in front of the guest and ask what wasn't good. ???Unfortunately, anyone can be a host, but only very few people can practice hospitality. Go to the Tellen inn in Gisikon, where you can learn how to serve guests and how to prepare food. The only thing that stands out about their restaurant is the prices. Luckily we can afford it. But what makes us even happier is that we don't have to rely on them. I wish them continued success with their concept.

Authentic Italian place par excellence (where I had my lunch) in Lucerne - my 1 day time off from work in Switzerland 🙂. The place itself is lovely but the lunch was the highlight! It was one of the best a la carte meals I had in a long time - simple yet delicious and very well made. The staff including the owner were very friendly and made me feel at home. Hygiene was standard and although it's a bit pricey that should be expected given the location. Don't often say this but a must visit and let the pics do the rest of the talking 😋😬🙂

There's not much Italian about it. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Nice place, with a nice view of the lake. I ate spaghetti with seafood, almost inedible..! Too dry and with frozen products. I did not like it. It's a tourist restaurant, so not enough attention is paid to what and how it is prepared, it's just served. Based on the experience I have had, I cannot recommend it.

My wife and I went to this restaurant to eat without any plans. Except for one female staff member who felt unfriendly Other staff are very friendly and polite In particular, there is a plump staff member with a very natural smile. My wife and I are not sure what to order. I will introduce it slowly. They would also help recommend the best side dishes for both of us. Ordered risotto and seabass The former is creamy enough but not too greasy. Served with perfectly cooked lamb My wife can actually eat well by herself The latter was fried so that the edges were sealed very well and the meat did not fall apart. Extremely delicious Large pizzas, homemade lasagne, and the cappuccino was delicious. Children's tickets available and clean toilets. You can sit inside and outside on the promenade by the water

We had classic pizza, which was served on very thin dough and with a 2 cm border. Oil and coarse chili powder were also served. The pizza toppings were plentiful and tasty. For dessert we had tiramisu, which in our opinion was prepared to perfection: fragrant cocoa powder, creamy mascarpone and the ladyfingers completely and very uniformly moistened. The highlight: a physalis and a dash of amaretto on top. A delicious taste experience! About the location itself: There are tables directly on the Reuss, at the house and inside on two floors. The toilets are tiled to a high quality and very clean. Black and white photos of Italian film stars and other motifs are used as decoration in the dining rooms.

Seriously avoid this place if you can! Everything was way too hard for them. I understand that not all restaurants may cater for vegans but a simple pizza or rissoto is not hard to make. My pizza was bland and barely edible! Their excuse was “oh we don’t know how to cook plant based food because we don’t specialise in that”. It isn’t that hard to sauté veggies and make a pizza look presentable and appealing enough to eat! The price of the food does not match the quality and is not worth it! Horrible experience and will never be back!

Excellent service, view and food…

We were visiting for the first time Luzern and we tried this restaurant because he was in the list for the City-Card Luzern partners. When we arrived at the restaurant, we showed the card to confirm we could use it and they told us it was ok. We waited a long time to get serve. After some times, we received the plates, the food was ok but for the price it's too much high. At the end, we gave the gift card and they said the card was not working. We insisted for 45 minutes for finally having to pay our meal with a credit card.

We were asked in a very awkward way to pay 10% tip, it was impossible to say no Edit to answer: I know it is up to the client to leave the tip or not. However the waiter asked with the payment terminal: could I charge you the 10% service fee? And this is just a very awkward situation and feels like a scam. Also you can read in other reviews that this waiter is doing it repeatedly with customers

❌ Cannelloni Fiorentina had a mediocre taste and lacked in terms of design. 🥈 The Pizza Quattro Stagioni was delicious and had an acceptable appearance. 🥈 The restaurant's interior space was of medium size and had a traditional Italian style, while the outdoor area, situated next to the water, offered a beautiful view. 🥈 The service and staff were friendly but somewhat unprofessional. 🥇 The preparation time was reasonable.

Quite bad experience in this restaurant, we are quite hungry and ask the waiter to order for 5 times, he was keeping letting us wait but went to do other services, another waitress has started to provide service to the clients coming after us, she noticed that we have not ordered till we have waited for more than 20 minutes, and the food ia terrible as the spaghetti is tough and hard to bite, the seafood is also not fresh. In total, terrible service and normal food, NOT recommended

The atmosphere on the river is really beautiful. The pizza we had was fine, but the pasta with pesto was not fresh and not worth the money. Service was ok. Due to the food, in total only 3*.

Just showed up at 9:15pm for a table. Restaurant says on door and online kitchen open to 10:30pm and restaurant until 11:00pm. Multiple parties still eating and sitting both indoors and outdoors and they told us they were closed. Super disappointed.

The taste of their food is very delicious. To repeat several times. The attention of the guy who helped me was excellent. The view is beautiful. And today so much better. And the one in the photo understood us very very well and his name is Erick

Antipasti buffet kept very simple. No cheese and carelessly made. Therefore far too expensive (small plate 18.50.- / large plate 25.50.-) Service inadequate. After the aperitif we didn't even ask for new drinks. The food was very good.

Very cheap and expensive Italian restaurant for what they offer. An authentic risotto is not made with cream. A "chicken salad with lettuce leaves" had more canned vegetables than lettuce. A 1L bottle of water cost 11.5CHF and the answer regarding the price was "It's Switzerland"... Really? Abusive prices, not to return!

This was the MOST UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD IN SWITZERLAND. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! In the 3 weeks we've been visiting Switzerland never once was I rushed out of a restaurant...until tonight. Everything was going well with the food/atmosphere. Our actual server was nothing short of amazing. We were about an hour into dining when it was 22:00 and it had hardly started to drizzle. That's when we had some random server continually walk past us telling us we were the last ones there, and that we need to hurry up bc of the pending rain (it never rained). All the while LITERALLY EVERY OTHER RESTAURANT IN PLAIN VIEW WAS STILL SERVING THEIR GUESTS. We eventually caved to his pressure and asked our server for a check to just avoid being completely uncomfortable. We walked around Luzern for another half hour and saw multiple other patrons happily being served outside at extremely close restaurants. AGAIN AVOID AT ALL COSTS. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE TO HAVE A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. IT'S EXPENSIVE AND WE FELT TOTALLY RUSHED. NOT WORTH IT. Again my actual server did not do this. Just some other server we had no interaction with until he started rushing us to leave so he could go home early himself. It was the guy who only wears his glasses to read the checks to customers. I don't have any other way to descride him. RUN AWAY FROM HERE!!

Very nice location of this restaurant… Rather cold but efficient and fast service. To say that the food is not good would be a lie but impossible to say that it is good Seafood pasta (frozen bag) without much flavor and overcooked Pesto pasta with way too much pesto and oil Good and light pizza dough but low quality mozzarella that comes together in your mouth

I give it one star because I can't give it less. When we arrived we told the waitress that there were three of us, she looked at us for a few seconds and gave us a table in the back with glass and two rotten pieces of lemon lying on the floor. We politely asked the girl if she could sweep it up and we He said he would attend to us right away. We were waiting for half an hour and the girl saw us perfectly and totally ignored us. In the end we decided to leave because we could no longer be ignored.

Absolutely beautiful! Pino was incredible helpful- my group and I struggle to read German, and Pino was so helpful with recommendations and suggestions. The food was amazing, and the view was incredible. If I lived closer I would absolutely be going back! Thank you Pino!!

Pizza and salad good. But for extra onion on pizza CHF 2.50. It was about half an onion.

Great views towards the river, but terrible terrible spaghetti… The flavor and texture is extremely lacking, presentation overall is messy, does not resemble any authenticity of Italian cuisine. Plus it was very expensive for its quality. Disappointed.

Not much flavor, pizza and pasta.

Simple and cozy Italian restaurant. We were at the restaurant before 12 p.m. and ate outside. If you get there early enough, there is space. The menu is of normal length and has something for everyone. The carpaccio, tris di pasta and the spaghetti ai frutti di mare were great. The service was friendly and accommodating. The prices were absolutely ok.

Sumptuous Italian food near Chapel Bridge ,Lucerne . We visited this restaurant twice ,during our stay at Lucerne . During lunch , we sat in the open air area next to the River Reuss,overlooking the famous Chapel Bridge . For Dinner we went in the inside area . Service is quick ,staff is polite . Margarita - Excellent . Seafood Spaghetti - Excellent . Seafood Risotto -Excellent Pasta in Tomato Sauce - Very good .

Authentic carbonara, some pizza, and a glass of non-alcoholic martini It cost a total of 53 francs. - It was the first authentic carbonara I was looking for, and it was delicious. I don't know because I've never tried pizza, but there's a review that says you get hungry after eating more than 2 slices~_~ - Maybe it was because there were a lot of customers, but the service wasn't good. Even if you call, they toss it to another waiter... or even if you toss it, no one comes... I thought they didn't even have aperitif bread, but other places gave it to me. Is it far away? I need to go to Italy and eat cheaper and more delicious food.
