The best restaurant in the village with sensational food

The restaurant was recommended to us, so we came with some expectations. These were exceeded: food was excellent! We ate soup, salad, pizza and steak (a bit everything from the menu) and were completely impressed. We haven't had pizza this good in a long time and the meat was extremely tender. The service was courteous and professional at all times; we were asked several times whether everything was/was good.

Very fine and charming restaurant. It's best to reserve in advance to find a seat in this beautifully decorated restaurant.

One of the best restaurants in Zürich

It was my first time there and it felt like a trip straight to Italy. The warm decoration created a cozy atmosphere that was immediately inviting. But the real highlight was the food, which was a masterpiece of taste and authenticity. The staff were equally impressive: professional and kind. Overall, my visit to this pizzeria was very nice. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been going to this restaurant for years and can only report great consistency. The service is friendly and quick. The food was always served very tastefully and visually appealing. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered. Even though the large selection of dishes can be intimidating, they manage to prepare everything perfectly. I will be happy to continue visiting the restaurant and am already looking forward to the next time.

There has been a decline in service. No attention at all for the announced birthday, not even a candle for dessert... and after spending 300 CHF for regular guests, not even a grappa or cafe on the house... we won't go there anymore.

Price, performance = OK Quite good for a short business lunch, but too run-of-the-mill for a banquet or family meal. Price performance is also okay, the menu is too big, I would rather have it small but nice

Always enjoy the Italian ambience and the incredibly fine food with the family. The only negative point: it is quite loud in Da Giò. Something dampening would do the place good. We'll still go back, everything else is great!

Good food and even better wine. Only thing that I didn’t like was how small is the restaurant inside. Too many tables on small space. It’s really busy restaurant so if you’re looking for romantic and quiet evening reserve table outside. Restaurant has plenty of parking spaces next to the building.

Everything was top and the garden seating was wonderful, really Italianita.

A great evening from start to finish. Very tasty pizza. Nice terrace cozy. We had starters, main course, dessert, wine and various minerals and paid 100 chf, a great price.

We ordered the risotto with meat. The risotto was too bland for my taste. But the meat was okay. I think the prices are not justified for the quality of the food. There was enough parking space in front of the restaurant and the service staff was friendly.

The furnishings are all over the place and have no Italian charm. The food is okay, but it's not a burner. The prices are completely exorbitant. The service is top and very friendly. A second time, probably not.

Below average pizzeria with arrogant and easy to read waiters. The only know-how is that there is no competition in 10-12 km range. Once a proper restaurant will open close around…this place will shut down

Spectacular, we ordered a starter that was very good but what was truly spectacular was the meat... A stone-grilled sirloin that you cook to your liking with a garnish of an exquisite risotto. The meat looked like butter when you ate it, fresh and with a great flavor. We have already been twice and we will return.

The waiters are very hectic and always want to clear everything away immediately, even if you haven't finished eating yet! Services are charged for which in my opinion should not be charged!! Absolute impudence!

We have been to Da Giò several times and will come back again in the future. The Da Giò is highly recommended and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is terrific! I have never had anything to complain about and I don't think this will change. Da Giò is very busy, which is why I recommend everyone to make a reservation.

This is our second time there. The food is great, fresh and enough for everyone. The shrimps on the hot stone are unique. I have never had so many shrimps. I was able to eat my fill of it. The pulp salad as a starter was also divine. We'd love to come back.

We were at Da Gio on February 5th, 2022. This is the third time I've been to this restaurant and there are many good reasons to come back. The first reason is the very friendly and competent staff, who always keep an overview even in hectic situations. The second reason is the cuisine, which impresses across the board in terms of taste and quality. The menu is very clearly laid out. This time I decided on a horse fillet on a hot stone and as There were fries as a side dish. A good decision, because Da Gio also excels in terms of meat quality. I think an important detail is that the stone stays hot for a very long time. Of course, at the end there is always the calculation. Conclusion: The Da Gio is also convincing in terms of price. And these are good reasons to come back to Da Gio.
