Nothing special, but the reviews confused me. I would say that Da Michele is better, but if I want to be absolutely honest - both are not worth it, in Italy you can find much better (I'm not even talking about price). Da Paolo uses the cheapest tomato sauce possible and the taste because of that is really weird, nonsense 🙄. I wouldn't come back.

Quite simply my favorite restaurant. Generosity of dishes and desserts, possibility of eating at any time and warm atmosphere.

I ordered a pizza through Uber Eats therefore not aware of the service or atmosphere, pizza was top notch.

Beware of rude and lying waiters. We went back for the second time as our first experience was quite pleasant, but we’re utterly disappointed and very much upset by this visit. The food was fine, but the bill presented and what was charged to our card was different. When we asked to clarify, the waiter said there was a 10% service charge tax. We managed to retrieve a copy of our previous receipt and showed that there was no such thing– we paid the amount stated on the menu the previous visit (also for dinner). Exposed, the waiter rudely went to the cashier and grabbed some coins and shoved it into our hands while muttering in French (we assume he was cussing). We would’ve been fine with tipping him a few if he was forthcoming, but to be lied to and charged without our knowledge is simply unacceptable. We also noticed that his service for us was different than the European customers–we weren’t served cheese or bread despite ordering the same things as the table next to ours. What a shame to experience such discriminatory treatment in a place like Geneva known for being an international hub for peace and equity. Highly do NOT recommend, especially for Asian visitors.

Perfect pizza, just as it should be, very, very fine! The service is fantastic, talented in languages, super fast and very attentive.

Very good wood fired pizza. They don't take reservations but it works and the room is quite big. So if you don't come during rush hour there won't be a problem.

Fantastic food, especially the antipasti and sublime pizzas. Fabulous variety on offer, including at the bar. It gets really busy - you might wait up to 45 mins on a busy night - but it’s so worth it. The staff are super friendly and quite organised despite it being crazy busy at dinner time. 100% recommended.

Very good Italian cuisine, we came as a group for a birthday and everything went very well. The prices are fair and the service is fast. The cuisine is varied, there is choice.

Good morning, I give two stars out of respect to the cook. The food is very good but the service is more than mediocre. We ate this evening at the time of payment the waiter dropped the payment terminal when I inserted the bank card, not only did he not apologize but he gave me a look as if it were my fault. If you want to eat good food, take away. Sincerely.

Living there for 40 years. Tried so many pizzas. Made our own amazing ones at home. But DaPaolo is the best. Quicker response and bigger smiles then would give 5 stars for service!

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. This was our worst experience of service in Geneva. When we arrived, we asked one of the staff members if we could get seated anywhere in the outside area. Answer: yes of course. Before getting a seat, we even went to check in with the server outside. The server however had the most agressive attitude I've ever experienced, acting as if we walked right into their house and took a seat. We were shocked. And, as an experienced customer specialist, even if we were to have just sat down on our own, a professional should never come up with such an aggressive attitude. Management should review the basics of appropriate customer service with their staff. Nedleds to say, we left immediately.

The general atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful. The food is very delicious. We had a Vegetarian pizza and an Arrabbiata pasta and it was delicious. The cream brulee was missed.

Good variety of pizza and pasta and some stuff for kids too(schnitzel with Pommes). A very tight space and very full/busy. The staff is nice and speak English. Quite expensive tho(well for the neighborhood decently priced).

Excellent Italian brasserie; the pizzas are cooked in a wood-fired oven, the pastas are fresh, tasty and the sauces that accompany them are also. The servers are ultra professional, fast and friendly (you no longer have the impression of being in Geneva as they are so efficient; they remind us of the maîtres d'hôtel of large brasseries in large cities such as Paris, Milan, Rome , Marseille,... The only drawback is that it feels a little cramped when there are a lot of people (the tables are narrow and too tight), but not a big deal since each time, it's is a good time. Good food at a good location with service.

Packed restaurant in Geneva which doesn't take evening reservations, so get there early! We arrived 6:30 and it was full shortly afterwards. Buzzing atmosphere, slightly chaotic, food superb and service efficient amidst the business of the establishment. Lots of menu choice, good value for Geneva, our best meal of our trip.

Top notch Italian food tucked away on a quieter street in Geneva. They have a traditional wood fire pizza, so from when you order to the pizza landing on your table is a mere matter of minutes. Really crispy dough, good quality ingredients and friendly staff.

Located on a small road that gives to the lake, this restaurant is a great choice if you are looking to eat Italian cuisine. The food is of great quality and doesn't fail to disappoint. The atmosphere is joyful and the staff's energy really makes the stay more enjoyable. However, the food is pretty pricey and you could get up to 60-80CHF/person if you order an appetizer, main dish and desert.

The salad verte, risotto porcini, risotto milanese, vegetarian pizza were all delicious.

Fast and welcoming service. Pizzas to die for! A nice terrace and a charming interior. Coming across this restaurant by chance during a brief visit to Geneva, I do not regret settling there.

We came to this restaurant by chance and we were not disappointed with everything, courteous and fast service. The pizzas were generous and the pasta with morels and green asparagus was divine. This is an address that has no shortage of assets.

I remembered a good pizza. But the rest leaves something to be desired. Filet de perche drowned in butter, spaghetti with garlic and not clams. Evidently the Swiss like you, I didn't like you. Skyrocketing prices. Never again !!!

We have Ordered takeaway pizzas from this pizzeria for the first time Frs 57.- the 3 pizzas which were really not very tasty (for 2 vegetarians and 1 margarita); very little supplied with vegetables. The eggplant slices were almost transparent and I don't remember seeing zucchini... the same for the mushrooms. Didn't enjoy eating them...

Excellent dishes, all extremely appreciable, prompt friendly service, the outside the two terraces protected by an umbrella on one side, covered with light reception. Toilet not practical for disabled people otherwise everything excellent.

Food was good. Large portions. Pasta carbonara was tasty, appetizer size smoked salmon was good and came with toasted bread, it was enough for a meal. Kids pasta was kid approved. Focaccia was no focaccia -more like baked pizza dough - but good in its own way. Service was just ok. We are in Geneva, while an intl city, still in French speaking Switzerland. Don't expect me to speak Italian... The atmosphere was hard to gauge, we sat next to a very loud table that made it hard to enjoy the space and seemed to stunt convos at multiple tables that just stared at the noise.

Decent wood fire oven pizza close to the jet d'eau, you can also take away and eat by the lake on a sunny day.

A go-to place in Geneva, not because it’s the most wonderful Italian you’ll ever have but because it’s open non-stop and late. The food is good and staff very friendly. Very flexible on adjusting sides on your main dish, which is very unusual for Geneva. Basically I like this place because it’s very un-Geneva.
