Cool place to enjoy a great sunset over Winterthur with a hot dog and beer. Can only be reached on foot via the stairs. Good after-work training 😉

The elevator was broken. You had to walk up 6 floors in the summer heat. There was no parking space.

Location great, beautiful view, but unfortunately the only thing to eat was Mrs. Dog's hot dog and a very expensive plate. I'll probably just come for drinks.

A visit is worthwhile in summer and winter. The bar is on the 7th floor. People with strollers or wheelchairs can ring the bell and then use a lift. For everyone else it means climbing stairs. The drinks and hot dogs are delicious!

Super nice bar. Great view over Winterthur and delicious drinks. At Mrs. Hund's you can get the tried and tested, great hot dogs. Only 4 stars because unfortunately you have to wait too long in line for drinks and food. Otherwise everything was great! Recommended!

We were there on a hot evening. The umbrellas were there, but closed. In my opinion, the prices for food and drink are too high because it is self-service. The staff is very friendly, but they are slow to serve drinks, which means there is always a long queue. You can enjoy the view to the west, where the sunset can be watched beautifully. 3 stars because it doesn't say anywhere on the website how many floors there are to climb and it is self-service. There are also far too few parasols and shady tables to linger invite.

The most beautiful view over the roofs of Winterthur - sunset included. The drinks taste wonderful, especially the own creations. In addition to Ms. Hund's freshly prepared hot dogs, there are also small bowls of antipasti, cheese, meat and bread. The team at the bar is incredibly warm and attentive. The climb up the stairs is definitely worth it!

The location is brilliant. Unfortunately, the potential of the room and the terrace is not exhausted. Great views over the city and surrounding area. Priced at the upper limit. The service is rather slow and not particularly organized; perhaps the processes are simply not working yet. In any case, even if there is little going on, you have to be prepared for long waiting times at the bar. Therefore only 3 points.

Nothing special/exciting. Beautiful view, cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately the music is a bit too loud - beer is only available from the H. Group - a shame.

Very nice, although certainly not for everyone (the climb on foot takes a while as there are a few sticks). I would still like a 5dl non-alcoholic beer version, but otherwise it's absolutely great. I'd love to come back.

Nice summer vacation feeling, tasty cocktails and happy to find vegan and vegetarian alternatives. Great view of course, call in case you need to use the elevator

Absolute insider tip in Winterthur. The view from the roof terrace is simply priceless and the 70s/80s charm in the former staff restaurant is worth a visit alone.

The winter edition of the roof terrace for the hoopoe is still a bit reserved. We were there on Friday evening. The interior is world class. A time capsule into the 60s/70s. The music, the Christmas playlist of horror, totally loveless from the iPhone/Spotify. The decoration neither fish nor bird, too little for trash, too much for subtle. The beers are what Heineken has on offer with pretty fair prices. The hot dogs, even if it is a Winterthur institution, are simply too expensive. The place has a lot of potential, hopefully it will still be used.
