We had a fabulous experience at Dapura Mia. We have just arrived in Zurich to live and were exploring areas along the lake and stumbled across this gem of a lake front restaurant. We absolutely love Asian food so walked in without a booking and were met with such friendliness and courtesy from Mia, the owner. Mia is so lovely and great fun, and nothing was too much to ask. The restaurant itself is so gorgeous with amazing ambience, and feels like you are in some sort of island paradise. And last but not least, the food was absolutely insane. We had chicken satays and spring rolls for entree, which were as good as you can get in Asia (and we lived there for 4 years). Definitely some of the best Asian food we've had in Europe. Then Rendang curry, nasi goreng and roti bread, all of which were completely delicious and very generous portions. Mia even organised some hot water for us to make our baby's bottle and even took him for a cuddle while he was crying so I could eat my meal! Overall just great and we will definitely be going back without the kids to try the karaoke and asian inspired cocktails, especially the lychee martini! Thank you Mia!!

What a gem! You can park in front of the restaurant. Once you walk into the restaurant you enter a lovely decorated space, greeted by the lovely owner Mia and waitress Suzie. The food is very authentic and absolutely delicious! We especially enjoyed the rendang! And the ‘rum’ on the house ;-) thank you Mia and Suzie for a great evening!

I really enjoyed my first visit at Dapura Mia, the food was very delicious and the atmosphere was also good. When I went there there was live music from an Indonesian band. The decoration and vibe are like in Bali. It's just that waiting times need to be increased so that customers don't wait too long for appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Over all everything is very good, the owner is also very friendly and comes to say hello. Recommended for Indonesian people who live or vacation in Switzerland and want to experience Indonesian dishes again and also suitable for local residents who want to try Indonesian food.

A negative point is the quite long waiting time for Apero's and the waiting time to order them. The penultimate time was 20 minutes, the second time was about 15 minutes. I don't want to drink the aperitif with the meal but beforehand.

A truly beautifully decorated restaurant with authentic Indonesian and Thai dishes. We were looked after so warmly and lovingly by the host Mia and her daughter. I can especially recommend the appetizer plate and the excellent rendang. We'll definitely be back soon.

The food was fantastic and delicious. The ambience is excellent. The owner Mia and the restaurant staff are friendly and accommodating. We got a free Emperador to toast with. Karaoke.. Suitable for dates, birthdays, various celebrations and "get together" I highly recommend it. Till next time!!!

Haii...i'm from Rome, Italy and was having lunch there. The food was so great, we had all you can eat menu for lunch, nasi goreng, Indonesian rendang, vegetable frater, somtam. All were prefect. We had mango sticky rice dan Indonesia pancake as well. All are delicious. The ambience was homy and comfy. Love it and definitely will come back.

The only true Indonesian place in the Zurich area. Super tasty food that you can ask to make more or less spicy. Friendly staff (Mia is fantastic!), cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

The restaurant is comfortably and simply furnished. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. The summer rolls were freshly prepared and delicious. The vegan dish with tempeh (rendang curry vegan) was delicious, as was the mango sticky rice. The rice side dish was too small in portion size. I will definitely come back.

A piece of Indonesia in Switzerland. The food was good, the starter platter was all fresh, but at CHF 17.50 per person it was still an upper limit. An extra portion of rice (unfortunately there was not enough rice for the menu) was charged additionally, which we cannot understand given these prices.

The pineapple fried rice is super delicious! The taste of the fried rice is like typical street food fried rice taste! BUT, STREET FOOD TASTE DOESN'T MEAN IT'S BAD!! It means it is really AUTHENTIC INDONESIAN Taste (not mixed with other cultures). The sambal is SUPER DUPER GOOD. Also authentic. You could expect the spicy is at Indonesian spicy level. So please don't expect the taste like "sambal oelek" from the supermarket. It's Indonesian spicy, but it's good! "Ikan bumbu" it's good, but as an Indonesian who is raised and born between sunda and java culture, it's not spicy and relatively sweet. So I needed to put sambal to make it more acceptable to my tongue. The service is super great! No need to be shy to ask the people that work here to take a picture of you! Take as many picture as you can! The place is nicely decorated, so don't miss your chance and moment! And here is the picture with my lovely husband! He ordered pineapple fried rice and he ordered more sambal because he likes spicy! The fried rice is on a half cut pineapple

Absolutely solid restaurant. I had the feeling the dishes were very tasty and more authentic than elsewhere. We had a la cart and from the buffet. The buffet is rather small just have a look if it has what you want. Service is friendly but we felt a bit left alone. Not sure if it was the busy lunch hours but everything took quite a while but one we got attention everything was done super quick.

Service -10/10 ; very unfriendly - you wait more than 20' with an empty terrace (the same thing again the same week). Then no vegetarian spring rolls - apparently they are no longer available - so they are not freshly made!!! Payment inside (even though “service”) and also very rude!!! No - thank you no more!

We went to Dapura Mia, as a family, for dinner. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Spoke both German and English fluently. The food was delicious and my six year old finished his noodles and meat. He also commented on the delicious ice cream he had for dessert. My Thai green curry was packed with flavour. It was walking distance from Richterswil Bahnhof and easy to get to. We will definitely be going back to this great little restaurant.

Chef Mia, originally from Sumatra, Indonesia, has spent years in China and has become a connoisseur of several Asian cuisines through living and traveling in the region. This is clearly reflected in the variety and quality of dishes that Dapura Mia offers. We were there for the lunch buffet and were impressed by the taste of the dishes. From Indonesian satay and rendang curries to Singaporean laksa and Thai fish cakes to Vietnamese summer rolls and Japanese gyoza - the menu leaves nothing to be desired. A special highlight are Mia's homemade sauces, which give every dish a unique touch. The quality of the food is high and you can taste it. Every dish was a treat and the value for money was excellent. The service was equally impressive, the staff was courteous and friendly. Overall, I can say that Dapura Mia is a unique restaurant that scores with its diverse, delicious cuisine and great service. I'm sure dinner there will be as delicious as the lunch buffet we enjoyed. A visit to Dapura Mia is a must for every Asian cuisine lover. Highly Recommended!

Super authentic food, some might even have a bit of spiciness to it. Unfortunately, we were regularly forgotten by service. When we arrived we had to wait 15 minutes. Wait until we order the drinks accounts. These were brought another 10 minutes later. Waiting time for starter over 30 minutes. After the main course we sat with empty plates for 35 minutes until we asked at the bar whether we could have a dessert menu. Then the table was cleared...

Fast and friendly service, cozy restaurant, food is sooo delicious reminds me to my home country Indonesia ✌🏼. We ordered 'Nasi Campur' with yellow rice which is genuinely homey taste and rendang beef is so yummy (thank God it's not spicy 😁), for spicy lovers you better try their sambal it brings spicy experience into your mouth and of course get Bintang Beer, feels like you are on the beach vibe. My suggestion, maybe could play some Indonesian traditional music 🙂. We love the food and the hospitality. Definitely will come back

What a great restaurant! Beautifully decorated and great ambience! The restaurant is not crowded and is therefore quiet. The staff are super nice and friendly! Was very accommodating and helpful. The food is good and the portions are also good. You don't go home hungry. I can only recommend this restaurant.

The Dapura Mia has very good cuisine in terms of quality and taste. Unfortunately, the service is the complete opposite and therefore very bad.

A good Indonesian Restaurant. Clean, great hospitality, good food, cosy with Indonesian traditional decoration. Forgive me for being a bit critical about the food, because im Indonesian 😊. The nasi campur is good in general, however the tofu in the banana leaf isn't tasting special. The spinach tempura could've been just made like the normal Indonesian veggies fritter called bakwan, no need the big spinach. Would be great to have just Indonesian food on the menu instead of mix with Thai and Vietnamese food. It doesn't have to be big menu, just stay true with Indonesian menu. I hope this is taken as a constructive feedback. I will come back again! Selamat makan :)

Came to this restaurant as it's highly recommended by a local friend. The food was really delicious. We took a mix plate of staters to share and the slow cooked beef. Yummy! In addition, the decoration made us feel really comfortable. Highly recommend this place without hesitation.

Good, not so special, very nice atmosphere The menu is somewhat limited and the dishes are good but not really ‘special’. Meat is from Switzerland (so it is written) and is ok (beef not so tender). Ice tea is good, service very nice and kind. On Sat it is quite busy.

Excellent restaurant! We were there with our 94 year old aunt, who lived in Indonesia for many years. The food was excellent and, according to our aunt, authentic, and also a visual delight. The service was perfect and extremely friendly. You've heard of Nasi Goreng before, but the menu offers a lot more. We look forward to our next visit!

Authentic, delicious food and excellent service. Susi and Mia are great hosts. We ordered Mie goreng (fried noodles), Beef Rendang, Nasi Campur and Sate ayam. The dadar gulung (green pancake) was also very nice.
