Chill Atmosphere and the drinks are super strong, one drink is approximately 4dl but they are super strong and delicious. 18chf for a big drink but one is more than enough. I can definitely recommend this place and I’m there almost every week.

I went there on the recommendation of my daughter. The bar is very cozy, unfortunately our table was next to the toilets - there is only one women's and one men's toilet. Unfortunately, these doors often remain open. Something that is not very pleasant. A small investment in a door closer would very easily help. The staff was very friendly and the serpentine was very tasty.

Is a classic in Winterthur to drink the Serpentin (formerly Rasputin). It's particularly full on weekends, but you can often still find a place for two. Service was already better. We ordered, then were simply forgotten and the request for a few nuts was simply ignored.

Nice location, close to the centre, very friendly staff and really good drinks at a good price, even compared to other places. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos, but I highly recommend it.

Best drinks in town. Employees (Karim/Noelia/Patrick/Moritz) are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Everyone kept an overview even in the most stressful times. Would drink here again any day. Really the best bar in Winterthur!!!🙏🏻 I felt very comfortable!

A feast for the eyes. A culinary delight. This bar, this institution convinced us in all aspects. The service was always friendly and the security was concerned about our safety. I felt comfortable. But it went one step further. The operation was not just limited to operating. With your joy and humor you put a big smile on our faces. In addition to keeping us safe, the security also tried to provide competent and friendly information. An all around great team.

Very popular bar in Winterthur where you can get a lot of alcohol for a fair price. Unfortunately it is always very crowded (especially) on the weekends, so you have long waiting times and it is very crowded outside and inside. The bar itself is not cozy. The bartenders are usually always very friendly.

I was here with a friend who I wanted to show Winterthur to and make it tasteful. The Schmale Tuch used to be one of my favorite bars in Winterthur and everyone who comes to Winti has to try a Serpentin. However, the service didn't leave a good impression on my friend. Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome at all.

Hit it clean. Inexpensive. Always little space and uncomfortable location.

The website says the bar is open until 2am. It was closed at 12:30 a.m.... employees were inside, waving customers away without a care in the world.

Insider tip in Winterthur. Unfortunately it's no longer so secret, there are a lot of people and sometimes longer waiting times when ordering on the weekend. But the drinks are good and card payments have also been possible since this year. If it had actually only been cash payment like before, I would have been here for the first and last time. Good decision by the owners to move with the times.👍🏻 The beer selection is convincing and so are the poisonous own creations

I've never been there, but I've only heard good things. I hope to be able to play a concert with my band on the beautiful terrace in the summer of 2023, with a delicious cocktail and great guests from the lovely landlady.

The outside area is rather small. Rasputins are really tasty.

The drinks are very good and are tasty. However, you can NOT pay with card and NOT with twint. The optical credit is rather small but nice. But it could be more modern.

Hahaha, how upset the kiddies are that you can only pay in cash. Luckily, there are still places where you can't do everything with your cell phone or a plastic card. And one more thing: The purpose of serpentine and its derivatives is not to get stoned and puke as quickly as possible. Tip: grow up before you go to a venerable traditional restaurant!

Very simple restaurant. The specialty is the house cocktail Serpentin in various flavors.

I was finally inside. Of course I'm not talking about your mother here but about the narrow towel. It was actually comfortable and the drinks were tasty. Service was also great. But where do we live, people only accept cash payments here. Something unpleasant like that. The second negative point was that at 8 a.m. a group of young people were lying in the chairs completely drunk. They behaved very rudely. We became so uncomfortable that we left the bar after one drink. I would recommend accompanying such groups out of the restaurant, it makes things much more pleasant. Not only for the rest of the guests but also for the staff. Still 4 stars, treat yourself! Thank you

Was there for the first time - was very pleasant! We would have liked to have stayed longer. But unfortunately only cash is accepted - a no-go, especially these days...

The research is clear: alcohol is alcohol. It basically doesn't matter whether we consume beer, wine or spirits; The intoxication ultimately only depends on the personal circumstances (empty stomach, tiredness, ...) and the amount of alcohol consumed. My personal experiences with the “Serpentine” drink presented here vehemently contradict this research consensus. Not only does the intoxication occur unexpectedly quickly and violently. No, even the nature of the intoxication is unusual. All of the positive effects of drinking, such as euphoria, disinhibition, and increased sociality, are retained at the highest level. What is missing, however, are the undesirable side effects such as loss of motor skills, babbling and even the next morning you feel much fitter if you plan your evening program on Serpentine. The whole thing is so unusual that it has long been suspected in some circles that other intoxicants can be found in the top secret recipe. All in all, a recommended experience that has never disappointed and completely justifies the price.

I understand that the Corona rules must be adhered to, but if you briefly go to another table with a mask on to talk to colleagues, you will immediately be sent back to your seat. You can also exaggerate. A pity

I highly recommend getting a Serpentine there. It's a bit expensive but worth it. 10/10 would go again.

Legendary bar, helpful staff. Very cozy in summer as there are lots of places outside. It's a shame that you can only pay in cash. At least TWINT should be possible in 2021.

Drinks very good. However, it has happened several times that a specific waitress has "forgotten" to give the correct change. That's why: always do the math 😉

The legend. Cool, very simple bar that is usually visited to enjoy a serpentine. The Serpentine is a homemade drink that “pops.” In summer you can relax on the beautiful terrace in front of the house. You often have to arrive early because the small bar is immediately full.

The narrow thing is great after the lectures in the summer if you're early enough, you don't have to say anything about Rasputin or Serpentin, it has legendary status

The Serpentin is the drink of Winterthur. Made strong and fast, it is perfect for smoothing your way to the exit. There are now around 10-15 different flavors. So there is something for everyone. Payment is only possible by cash. The nearest ATM is 5 minutes away in Marktgasse (ZKB). Admission is of course from 18. On weekends there is at least 1 security guard at the entrance who checks IDs. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the atmosphere of the bar always feels cozy.

The house drink (serpentine) is a very tasty drink. The outdoor space is beautifully furnished and warm even in winter. The inside space is just too small; You don't get through there very well. What's not so great, of course, is that you practically always have to wait because there is a queue in front of the location. Otherwise, I can highly recommend this bar.

Great atmosphere Fast, attentive service. It's a shame that the owners couldn't protect the "Rasputin" in time, but the "Serpentin" is the new original. Tip for those who don't like it crowded: Take a look during the week, it's much more relaxed.

The staff is generally relaxed and friendly I like to chat when it's not too crowded My pre-glow almost always starts in the narrow ah and the wiiter ;) 2x Räspis (hat serpetin) or 2 Tyson(in) and party mode is pre-programmed (for the one or other is the abig gloffe) In the winter it gets really crowded and it takes a while to get to the toilet (this affects more of the female visitors) Priis / Affordable TOP I can only recommend it

Two large Serpetin are enough for hard-drinking boys to get to a good level.

I really like the bar and especially the well-known Serpentin (it was recommended to me by countless people). Nice staff and I think it's professional that they check IDs. Unfortunately, in winter there is a bit of a shortage of seats and there are also longer waiting times for the toilet. Otherwise really great.

Cool bar with a great grove and nice service. Unfortunately you can't pay by card, otherwise we would have liked to consume more, that's not possible for me in 2019. Very happy again if you can pay by card. SumUp and co make it really easy today.

Nice bar with a long history. Well known for their Serpentin drink which you can only get there. It's expensive though (18.- for a Serpentin) and usually very crowded.

Closed on Sundays and Monday During the week quite a good place. Fridays and Saturdays are super crowded. Drinks are reasonable. Serpentine is a special (I think Prosecco based) house drink and has different variations in taste. Food can be ordered. Skills of Staff are mixed, some are there ever since, some are doing this beside of studies.

Ra, ra, rasputin - simply the best drink in town. It's just a shame it's now called Serpentine. Unfortunately, the name replacement didn't really work out.

The bar is always packed and the security guard in front of the entrance is quite unfriendly. If you want to overtax your body in a short amount of time, go there! (The Serpentine)

I was there with some friends and were treated very unfriendly by the waitress. It has degenerated into a place that no longer cares about customers. I think it's a shame... In addition, there is a pressure to consume - you have to consume or you will be thrown out of the house even if friends still have something to drink. :-(

Brilliant bar =) It is known for its Serpetin, which is recommended to take away. You can then drink it at the technical center (20 meters):) a bit expensive, but it's the best place in Winterthur to pre-glow, as you're relatively well breaded after one;)
