Very nice traditional restaurant in Hünenberg. In addition to the standard menu, they have daily lunch specials. The choice is good, including seasonal food (game, asparagus, for instance), and use of local ingredients like meat and veggies. The place offers good selection of wines and other drinks. Service has always been good. There is a nice seating area outside for summer and trampoline for kids.

For me one of the best restaurants far and wide. Very fine food and good espresso. I'd love to come back

Quite an arrogant boss. Doesn't find it necessary to greet her guests. I was part of a Jass group, we played Jass there once a month. We consumed well, tipped well. Then the boss kicked out this Jass group. Apparently the regular guests had no room during this Jass afternoon! I even understand that... However, the Sääli was empty and there would have been room for X guests!!! It was the tone, this arrogance, this pomposity of this person, i.e. “boss”! , who threw these words at an older person!!! No more swords!! The service staff was great, nice, helpful, competent.!!!!

I've been there twice, but unfortunately I only recently discovered the restaurant. The Züri Gschnetzlete is a hit, as are the very large and super fine desserts. My friends were also enthusiastic about their menus. It is also suitable for children because there is plenty of space and children's menus. I will definitely go back for this. The service is very pleasant and the atmosphere is cozy. The regionality of the ingredients is also a big plus. Top!

The typical tourist “trap” It is basically a typical restaurant where they DO NOT CARE about guest experience. They might be always full as they are in the middle of a touristic place with no competition and most people won’t come back as they are tourists. It is a very narrow-minded way to do business but is definitely how they think, starting from low menu options, zero flexibility about menu adaptations or pleasing guests with table choices, etc. We had a serious issue with the room where we stayed as the ventilation system was not working and the room was very smoky. We tried to keep one of the windows partially open but the other table didn’t want to, so the waitress closed the window. When I questioned the waitress about why she didn’t even ask us about the window or tried to find a common solution, she literally laughed at my face and said it was not her problem (even though the issue was the ventilation system!) and that the other table were in more people (maybe it also counted that the other guests were swiss and we weren’t). The waitress didn’t show any empathy for us and it got even worse when we complained to her at the end, as we had ‘no rights to not be happy with their amazing service”. The other waitress who was listening to the conversation also said “we don’t have time for anything else than cooking and serving, we do not notice things like ventilation system malfunctioning….” And when I asked about “guest experience” she just repeated “we don’t have time...” It is a pity that some restaurants have the privilege to be “alone” in premium locations without competition and don’t value what they have. If even COVID times haven’t served as a lesson, what would do?

The Wienerschnitzel was wonderful.

We wanted to buy something and then go to the trampoline, but they said it wasn't a playground. Antisocial community with no respect for young people. We weren't taken seriously. The first thing she said was: you're not allowed on the trampoline. Without knowing that we wanted to go on the trampoline. Everything is overpriced and the service is poor .

War heute mit 4 Personen zum Mittagessen im Gartenrestaurant. Sofort aufgefallen war mir, dass viel zu geringe Abstände von Tisch zu Tisch vorhanden sind. War mir sehr unwohl dabei, da die Personen an meinem kleine 4er Tisch mir zwar bekannt waren, aber aus diversen Berufen stammen. Auch die Distanz zum Tisch nebenan war viel zu gering. Da frage ich mich schon, wo da die Kontrollen der Gemeine sind? Für jeden Wirt, welcher sich an die Vorschriften hält oder halten muss, ist das ein Faustschlag ins Gesicht. Verkehre in verschiedenen Restaurants und Kantonen, aber sowas habe ich noch nicht erlebt. z.B- Kt. LU direkt am See, wird man abgeholt, nachdem die Hände desinfiziert wurden und an den Platz geführt. Der Kellner mit Maske, stellt das Mineral und den Wein auf ein kleines Tischchen neben dem Tisch und man muss selber einschenken! dies ist nur eines von vielen guten Beispielen die ich erlebte.

The food was excellent. Generally great value for money with a large selection of regional dishes. The hay soup and the many desserts with cherries were particularly great. The service staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the timing was catastrophic. The soup came so early, almost 5 minutes after ordering. The main course followed immediately after finishing the starter. At this point we only got the wine opened. We had already finished the main course 45 minutes after arriving at the restaurant :( We were actually looking forward to an extensive evening in the restaurant. The chef then apologized to us briefly in person, but did not offer any small compensation such as coffee or a digestif. He said: “You’re all young and flexible, it shouldn’t be so bad.”

We enjoy the fabulous cuisine, the good wine selection and every now and then a Grimbergen beer.

You can find everything you need in terms of food. Simply cheaper than in competing grocery stores.

Wir waren anlässlich der Dirndlparty, welche eine bescheidene Anzahl Gäste hatte, zugegen. Das Restaurant ist grosszügig mit viel Luft eingerichtet. Die Speisekarte bietet eine grosse Auswahl an Gerichten, welche sehr vielfältig ausgerichtet sind. Die Küche arbeitet schnell, der Service ist freundich und zuvorkommend.Die Speisen selbst sind sehr gut, schön angerichtet und in vernünftigen Portionen zubereitet. Eventuell könnten diese noch etwas raffinierter mit mehr Gewürz angereichert sein. Leider war nicht ganz klar, welche der gereichten Saucen zu welchen Gerichten gehörte. Trotz allem, es hat sich gelohnt, da zu tafeln. Was die Preise betrifft, ist es im absolut obersten Bereich angesiedelt, eventuell sogar zu hoch.

Wir waren während der Wildzeit im Restaurant. Das Essen wie die Auswahl war sehr lecker und befriedigend. Das Personal war freundlich aber dürfte noch mehr lächeln meiner Meinung nach. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Sehr schöne Arbeit und Herz zu den Details und kann ich nur empfehlen.

I just came here for a quick drink in the current heat after a hard day on the construction site. The service was very nice, the tap water was on the house and the menu and furnishings were great.

Sehr freundliches Team, unser Essen war gut, Einheimisches Fleisch und auch die grünen Spargeln sind von hier. Die Mittagsportionen sind gross und man geht bestimmt nicht mit Hunger raus. Preis/Leistung ist für dieses Gegend ok.

Das Personal war sehr nett.Als Nachtisch hatten wir "Keiserschmarrn", und es war exquisit und eine großzügige Portion.Der Koch kam zu unserem Tisch und wir gratulierten ihm einfach.Ich würde etwas von der Dekoration ändern. . . . . seltsame und Endobjekte, die diesem gemütlichen Restaurant nicht viel hinzufügen.Es ist das typische Restaurant, in dem mit Wissen und Seele gekocht wird.

Gestern waren wir mit unserem Chapter im Degen, die Gastgeberin hat sich sehr mühe gegeben! Wir wurden toll bewirtschaftet. Das Essen war absolut fein, das Buffet sehr reichhaltig. Wir kommen gerne wieder mal zum Essen vorbei.

Wegen TA zu Besuch und sehr enttäuscht. Schon am Telefon wurde ich relativ unpersönlich begrüsst, eigentlich Grund genug nicht hinzugehen.Es war Samstag und die Gaststätte war relativ gut besucht, ein gutes Zeichen. Ich bestellte das Menü mit Suppe, Salat, Hacktätschli mit Nudeln und Gemüse. Das Ganze Essen war äusserst fad und geschmacklich enttäuschend. Das Fleisch schmeckte brotig und waren pampig, die dazu servierte Pilz-Sauce geschmacklos und mehlig und machte keine Freude. Interessanter Weise war das Gemüse frisch und saisonal und hätte richtig Spass gemacht, hätte es nach mehr geschmeckt.Die Bedienung, dieselbe, die das Telefon beantwortete war zwar nett und mehr oder weniger bemüht, aber zu wenig interessiert.Wiederholungsfaktor unwahrscheinlich!

War letzte Woche wieder einmal im Degen. Das Essen war wie immer sehr fein, nach mehrmaligem nachfragen habe ich auch noch Chili zu meinem bestellten Tartar bekommen. Normalerweise ist der Service dort auch sehr gut, aber wahrscheinlich war es einfach zu heiss und es hatte auch sehr viele Gäste... werde bestimmt wieder dorthin gehen!
