Typical Lebanese/Middle Eastern restaurant. Doesn't exactly hit the flavor notes you would expect from a Lebanese Taouk or shawerma sandwich but at least the ingredients are correct. The owners are really nice and helpful. Would highly recommend a visit for a reasonably priced dinner.

Apart from the slightly longer waiting time, there is nothing to complain about. They offer various types of shwarmas with a delicious taste.

The shawarma is very good, and the people are more than accommodating with special requests (e.g. more garlic sauce). Price is very good for Zurich. The restaurant itself is a bit small for the amount of people going there (victims of their success!).

I don't see the point why people rated this as good food? Another scam fast food place in Zürich, even it's seems to be a cheap option, in the end it's not worth. Also most of the options are not available, so why advertise you them? By far the worst Swarma I ever had.

I had the pleasure of visiting Al Mouchtar in Zurich and I was very happy with my visit. The shawarma was super tasty and the staff was very nice and attentive.

Best Shawarma, service was actually nice, but the place was so busy that we had to quickly order and eat. There was almost no space and unfortunately the shop wasn't very clean because there were a lot of guests there.

Hands down the best value for money in Zurich. Staff is very kind and friendly and they dont charge u extra if u ask for more meat or something... I eat here often during lunch breaks and am always happy with a pleasant experience.

Very pleasant with our experience. They've remodeled the place. The prices are slightly higher than a few years ago when I visited. Actually been a customer for a very long time. But increasingly frustrating visits with you. But service is getting worse and worse. You almost have to beg to get vegetables in your sandwich other than fries and onions. You get insulted when you ask about things that used to be standard. There are often no grilled vegetables anymore. Guys behind the counter are in a bad mood 9/10 times and just complain and make fun of customers in Arabic. You feel like you're eating raw eggs in your store. As if someone on your staff could explode at any time. The last time was the straw that broke the camel's back. I ask politely if I could have some more tomatoes in the sandwich, the guy throws one pointedly on the sandwich and starts cursing as if I had taken his last ten note out of his pocket. When I picked up the sandwich, I was insulted again. Is this good customer service for you? Never again. It's a shame, it used to be the best Lebanese shop in town.

The restaurant is amazing. The portion is big and considered cheap compared to othrr restaurant in zurich. The touak sandwish was so amazing.

Hygiene VERY questionable, employee literally sits in front of the shop and releases nose sniffs on the floor with his bare hands and goes back into the kitchen (very disturbing sight). Inside I was pestered with very unpleasant and penetrating questions about the outfit. Disgusting. Never again.

For a non-Lebanese/Arab who grew up in the Middle East and knows their Lebanese food, this is a Europeanized restaurant. Went there because of the misleading reviews. Shawarmas and falafels are average, didn’t have the heart to be further disappointed. It’s an Imbiss, so don’t expect much, however it could be kept cleaner. I would not go again, nor recommend it to those expecting a decently minimum 80% authentic shawarma. For those who don’t care, at your own risk. :(

We went to this place after seeing good reviews. The restaurant is not clean. Toilet is filthy. The food hardly had any flavour. The server just put our sandwiches on the bare table without any plates! Not recommended at all. Don't waste your time and money here. Very expensive and totally NOT worth it.

Why this place is so popular remains a mystery to me. Well, if you want a tasteless and completely dry shawarma with chicken or a saltless, bland version with kafta (minced beef rolls), you will be 100% happy here. I honestly can't recommend it to anyone.

The shawarma was very dry and difficult to chew. They had put raw white cabbage in it which is difficult to chew. White cabbage should be fried beforehand so that it can be eaten. Not enough sauce in shawarma.

I hate to start my work with something like that, but I just have to say that I have only been able to enjoy such a delicious meal a few times in my entire life as a professional food critic. Just perfect. The ambience, the people, the food, the smell, everything was just right. I would recommend everyone to experience this culinary journey. Ps: Super fair prices for the quality

The best Lebanese sandwich place I know of in Zürich. Ask for the Lebanese version if you want something with authentic flavours. The sandwitches are inexpensive and good.

The store is disorganized, chaotic and unhygienic. You have to say what you want and how you want it five times, for example with spicy, only to then hold the bland flatbread in your hand because everything is forgotten. Unfortunately it's been disappointing lately. Please organize yourself, be mentally present, and put a little love into it. maybe Use catering gloves.

I was a bit biased based on the reviews, but the chicken shawarma was delicious. The pile of meat in the cooler containers looked dried out and was therefore discolored (and probably not as cool as below). However, the meat from the skewer was flawless.

It used to be a really good store, but it's gone extremely bad. The gentlemen behind the counter are not the friendliest. Shawarma meat (from the rotisserie) is now mixed with the chicken that has been seared on the plate. The whole thing is kept in a container until it is completely dry and ready to serve. There are definitely better Lebanese places like Le Cedre, Hallo Beirut etc.

This is a wonderful lebanese shawarma, the cabbage version with hommos and garlic mayonnaise. If you are not too late you can have shawarma from the traditional chicken vertical spit roast but you can also enjoy frikadelles or soudchouk, which is a more spicy variety of minced meat. If you like oriental food, it is definitely worth the visit, quick, delicious and economic.

After we were convinced by a video on TikTok of a 9th shawarma, we decided to test it. By sheer luck, when we walked into the store (there was no sign of a shawarma shop outside), we were able to place our order. The first surprise came at the checkout. A large man, who was shouting on the phone at the same time, collected 9.00, 12.00 instead of 9.00 as announced. But it didn't stop there. The clever fox typed 13.- into the card reader. Profit maximization! Now the first stage had been reached. I went to the shawarma maker (he probably convinced himself he was Ali Usta, because he kept saying "spicy? without spicy? say thank you to Vallah!") and explained to him what I wanted in it. I randomly pointed to food because most of it was foreign to me. In defense, only the raw chicken, which was lying unrefrigerated on the counter by the kilo, looked unappetizing. Finally, Ali Usta gave us our long-awaited shawarmas. We sat contentedly at the far too large - unfortunately dirty - table and ate this unknown delicacy. The ambience was good, especially the loud music (sounded very good) and the Ayran puddle give the place its own charm. Conclusion; happy to resist.

I've been visiting this shop for years and after some time today I was there again and left completely disappointed. (Hygiene zero!) Meat tasted like rotten fish. It's a shame I won't be eating here again.

By far the worst shawarma I have ever eaten, I would like to give it no stars. Pre-roasted and stored chicken is used. The shawarma is dry, there are two sauces, a few fries, 3 small cucumber sticks, white cabbage and meat in it. The bread tastes old, the chicken is hardly seasoned. The employees just ask for the sauce you want, the hot sauce is Sriracha sauce, and the remaining ingredients are simply spread on the bread. For me it has nothing to do with a shawarma.

Been there 3 times so far and will go again! The shawarma are really tasty and one usually turns into two.
