Wow, what else can you say? Best schnitzel I have eaten in Switzerland. It wasn't just the food that impressed us, the price and service were also perfect. Unfortunately, after the starter and the huge schnitzel, we didn't have room for the Kaiserschmarren, but we'll definitely make up for it.

Hardly any meat found in the schnitzel😂 so very small thin square piece, but what a huge bloated breading! Definitely not worth the money. Everything tastes good. But our child, a schnitzel lover, was disappointed. Even an eight-year-old girl didn't get enough meat. Not to mention adults.

We were at the Wilden Kaiser Wia’z’Haus last night and as the name suggests, you feel like you’re at home. From the welcome to the warm service, everything was just right. We chose the classic Wiener Schnitzel and our expectations were more than exceeded. It came beautifully stuffed, the meat was juicy and extremely edible - as it should be. For dessert we had the super caramelized Kaiserschmarren which was airy and soft. Simply delicious. Definitely worth a visit again.

Positively surprised by the service. Cordonbleu was served sliced ​​and was excellent. Kaffirahm was not in a plastic bag like in other restaurants but in a bowl. All in all, very much to be missed.

Nice, rustic atmosphere inside, the beer garden outside also looks cozy. Very nice and attentive service, almost a little too businesslike for my taste. Because of all the creative descriptions of the dishes on the menu, it is difficult to understand what they are actually about. The price for the bottle of wine turned out to be CHF 89 instead of 59, as the squiggly font choice on the menu turned the number 8 into a 5 in poor lighting. Food was mediocre, boiled beef broth was lukewarm and bland with half a teaspoon of bone marrow, fried chicken consisted of two dry, fried pieces of chicken and a piece of lettuce covered with grated cheese. No comparison to a visit to a restaurant in Vienna. Schnitzel and Brettljause are recommended. Most guests ordered a schnitzel. Conclusion: Good marketing including social media channels creates more appearance than reality. There is still room for improvement when it comes to the actual product.

We have already been guests at the Wia z'Haus twice and were thrilled each time. All employees are very friendly and attentive. The boss always came to the table of every single guest and took care of concerns or made a recommendation. Hosts with passion! The food is wonderful. Personally, I have never had a better Wienerschnitzel and the artichoke is also an insider tip. The garden offers a relaxed atmosphere and is particularly enjoyable on warm summer evenings. Always my pleasure.

Yes, there are better Wiener Schnitzels in Switzerland than in Austria. As an Austrian and schnitzel hunter, I “unfortunately” have to admit that. In terms of appearance and taste, it would be difficult to get a Viennese schnitzel of this quality in Vienna, Linz or Salzburg. But the Tafelspitz is also impressive. Also try the Brettl snack as a starter. Gösser draft beer and excellent Grüner Veltliner are safe and drinkable companions. The interior of the former “old Hirschen” was decorated in a rustic Viennese style. The guest garden is great, unfortunately a bit noisy until 6/7 p.m. due to the evening traffic, but then it calms down significantly. The service is guaranteed Austro-Hungarian… hearty and relaxed. Unfortunately for my bikini body, the Wilder Kaiser is my favorite schnitzel Austrian.

We celebrated our 2 year anniversary this evening. It was a beautiful atmosphere. Everything was super well arranged as desired. The food was to die for and the staff was super polite and accommodating. We felt very comfortable, like emperors and empresses. It was the most beautiful restaurant visit I've ever had. Very humble!! Ordered fried chicken. Got 2 breaded chicken schnitzels. Plus half a head of Spanish lettuce covered in grated cheese!! Salad dressing not available!! Order fries separately because you didn't feel like eating the dry potato salad!! Also impossible!! Never again!! That's it...

Very cozy restaurant and very friendly staff. We had pork schnitzel with potato salad of the best quality. As a starter, Hungarian langos and boiled beef soup. Also a culinary delight with Austrian flair. Conclusion an absolute must in Egg.

The reception here was first class! With happy faces we were welcomed in the Wilder Kaiser. The staff even took our jackets away from us. After delicious home cooking, lovingly prepared, the landlady personally said goodbye to us outside with beaming eyes. I will always have fond memories of this gastronomic experience!

Food is great, service is authentic and friendly... BUT Hanenwasser costs CHF 2.80 per person... i.e. a carafe for 3 people costs CHF 8.40, which isn't fair for dinner and drinks for 3 people...

I finally did it! We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. We received a very warm welcome and were allowed to choose a spot in the beautiful, well-kept garden. The menu is small, but that's a good thing otherwise the choice becomes even more difficult. Since it was such a warm day, my companion chose the spring salad and I chose the Wienerschnitzel (veal). For dessert we had Kaiserschmarrn and I wanted iced yoghurt with rhubarb and strawberries. As an additional recommendation, the service told me that they had Viennese iced coffee... so it was clear to me that I would take it. All in all it was very nice and the service was very friendly and attentive, it will definitely be a restaurant where I will go regularly. I'm already looking forward to the next time. PS: Prices more than fair!

The "Hirschen" in Egg is now called "Der Wilde Kaiser - Wia z'Haus", with real hospitality and the highest quality in the Austrian Burgenland style. I was able to celebrate my big birthday there in the cozy vaulted cellar, which will remain unforgettable! We were served and pampered in a very friendly and courteous manner throughout the evening. Food and drink are a poem. Absolutely recommended in every respect!

Food: that's why you come from Zurich to Egg! Rarely have I had such a great Wiener Schnitzel! Good atmosphere and very friendly hosts. It's worth it! The only thing is that as a vegetarian the menu is very small.

We had dinner with a few friends and we all loved it. Great location with a lot of charm and very friendly hosts. The food is very good and authentic. We can highly recommend the Kaiserschmarrn. Another highlight was that we were able to drink a fine mulled wine outside by the fire after dinner on a cold day. We'd love to come back!

Friendly welcome including service, traditional and home-style Austrian cuisine. The menu could possibly be upgraded with 2-3 AT specialties. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite feel the typical Austrian ambience in this restaurant (inventory etc. Example: K & K Hofbeisl Bad Ischl) which is perhaps because the restaurant was only recently reopened. There is still deer on the outside wall of the building, but it should be changed to the "IST" situation. I wish the new hosts good luck and success for the future and am not averse to coming back.

We had a great meal here. Stumbled in without a reservation after hiking, and we were warmly welcomed. The food was quite delicious and the prices reasonable. The pasta arrabbiata was particularly delicious, as was the cordon bleu.

We spent a wonderful New Year's Eve in the Hirschen Restaurant and enjoyed a fantastic New Year's Eve gala menu. Not only was the food convincing, but also the very friendly service. To top it all off, there was a great fireworks display on the village square fired off by Patrick Winter. We'd love to come back!

Don't know what happened tonight... waited 10 minutes after being seated, received neither menues, nor requests for any drinks. Restaurant practically empty, high prices. Wife finally had to ask for us to please receive menues and some service. We went to another place....

Incredible dining experience. The beautiful beer garden with wooden tables and chairs, invitingly set, should be rated positively. Full of anticipation, we ordered 2 x Egliknusperli. With the express advice that my husband is severely allergic to garlic, they only ordered the tartar sauce and changed it to mayo. The service staff did not clarify that there could possibly be garlic in the rest of the menu. When we asked whether there was garlic in the spinach, the answer was yes. Instead of offering the guest another vegetable or a salad, the entire plate was filled with fried potatoes. By chance we discovered slices of garlic on the potatoes! We complained! Fried potatoes without garlic was not possible because they are not freshly prepared, everything was already prepared. The plate was filled with rice. When we asked the service what the food was like, we only got irrelevant excuses in response and said that we had seen it... That's a no-go in the catering industry. If we hadn't seen it, the evening would have ended in the hospital. If the guest points out several times that they are severely allergic to a product, as a good host you have to offer alternatives. In the end we were charged full price for all the inconvenience. We say never again!

Unfortunately, the chef has little idea about good food, our cheeseburger was practically raw yesterday, the bread was black, the fries had no salt and the waitress said it was sausage. We definitely won't eat there again.
