Desperado in Moosseedorf

I would really advise against this restaurant! It all started on my birthday. I went to dinner with my family and was extremely disappointed. Started with the service, we waited an hour and a half for our food! When I spoke to the staff, they explained to me that a larger community (which appeared about 10 minutes later) would be served first. Since there were only 5 of us, they simply dropped our order and served the others. When, after ages, our food was finally brought to the table. This was also of poor quality, my steak was like the sole of a shoe! Cutting it was anything but easy, and there was a lot of cartilage in the meat. The only tasty thing was the dessert and the sweet potatoes. The ambience is really not inviting. It looks like a child's birthday party. And there's a plastic cactus on the table. I recommend another restaurant because you won't have a nice birthday here. Save yourself that and invest in a restaurant that values ​​you as a customer. Never ever. It's a shame the place in Bern was really good!

Everything was so carelessly prepared, Natchos were soggy, it was cold, there was hardly any cheese on it! Burger menu, everything was probably seasoned with the same spice! 🫤We couldn't really sit down and there was already 1 or 2 waitresses... never again for me

3 hours there without dessert, bread with the salad was not provided, it only came after the salad had been eaten, extremely long waiting times, burger was way too spicy, service was completely overwhelmed, completely inattentive, waiter only cleared plates after being asked, birthday child got free dessert, The rest of the group weren't even offered desserts, loud, cramped and uncomfortable atmosphere, once and never again

We have visited the Desperado restaurant in Moossseedorf a few times and have always been satisfied with the food. Very nice and competent service. A large selection of Mexican dishes are offered. Drinks are also highly recommended. The restaurant is very clean and makes you want to come back

Not what I expected. Nothing to do with Mexican cuisine. It's a shame, but I'll try again. A second chance

Super nice service staff but poorly organized. We were served by 3 waiters at the same time...actually good but a bit confused due to lack of agreement. The food was very tasty and came very quickly despite the restaurant being full. The offer is not too big and not too small. There is something for everybody. The dessert selection is also appropriate and promises what it delivers. Gladly again and only recommended

Were not there for the shop, about 20 people. It was very well organized. Unfortunately the “hall” is not separated, or locked. Therefore rather loud. Is and service are ok

The Despi in Moosseedorf is one of our regular restaurants with friends. The drinks, starters and main courses are simply very good and, above all, they are always the same quality - no strange fluctuations in quality. The lamb dish and chili is absolutely top. The place is sometimes a bit full and very loud, plus there's a lot of halligalli because of birthdays. That's why we prefer to come on weekdays.

Sensational restaurant, I can only recommend it! The staff couldn't have been friendlier. The "Steak Tequila Guadalajara" was tender, cooked to perfection and absolutely brilliant in combination with the hacienda fries and the corn on the cob. HAT OFF AND STAY AWESOME!! See you soon again

Our “new Mexican” after our former favorite restaurant closed. has newly opened. We love the original Desperado menus, which you can choose from the original menu cards. Nice staff, food and cocktails great. It's definitely worth taking this long journey ♥️ forever Depserado!

The Desperados has managed to ensure that the food still tastes the same as it did at the beginning, even after 15 years. Good food at fair prices.

So we were well received, ate well, unfortunately one of the only waiters speaking French was very unpleasant, responded in an arrogant manner and above all in a way that is not said to customers, we are not friends, we were disappointed of his behavior especially since after having spent 500.- we would have just liked to have a little digestive even if it was only a coffee (besides the waiter laughed in our face saying that it was not a restaurant Italian ;) but that's why I gave it a 2, otherwise it was very good.

The worst Mexican I've ever been to! The service was very unfriendly and arrogant, the food, sorry if I have to put it like that, was dog food! I got frozen vegetables with my fajitas, which I find very embarrassing for a Mexican restaurant! The beef was very very dry! I was there with my 18 month old baby, the little one dropped a chicken nugget. The editorial team from the waitress, She picked up the nugget and placed it in front of my baby, basically eating here! Without a word to me! I think it's very cheeky, I've never experienced a waitress picking up the food from the floor and putting it back in front of the guests! I don't recommend this restaurant!

As always, very tasty food. We had to wait a little longer, but it's your own fault if you don't make a reservation here on Thursday evenings. The staff was nice as always and apologized several times for the wait. The delicious Pechuga di Pollo was worth every single second of waiting.

The food is delicious, the hosts and the service are friendly. When the paper bag with the take-away dishes tore, we even received a voucher as an apology - very attentive and customer-friendly.

I have mixed feelings, starters were delicious, main courses were mixed, especially the chicken in the enchiladas was tough and dry with a strange taste. The pulled beef enchiladas was good. The service wasn't convincing either, if you order the food in Spanish you should be able to understand it. My comment that the “Pollo” wasn’t good was answered with a casual “ah ok”. In general we didn't feel very welcome with our service, quite the opposite to the reception in the restaurant, which was warm and cordial. Restaurant is ok, but only marginally related to Mexican food. But I probably won't go there again.

Mojitos practically without alcohol, ice cubes are expensive. Food not necessarily exceptional, too little for a Mexican restaurant (and the price) and when you ask for spicy, you hope to have something that matches. Fortunately, friendly service and atmosphere.

Nicely decorated restaurant. The perfect place to have some good Mexican food and some nice cocktails too. We had a late lunch there and it was delicious, we ordered two entries and two main dishes. I had two frozen margaritas and I must say that they were delicious 😋 I also tried for the first time the desperados beer there and it is delicious! The waiter who attended us was very nice and friendly and patient when I practiced my rusty German with him 😅. The parking spake is very convenient and we had a great time there. I would love to come back :).

My wife and I had dinner there yesterday, it was my birthday. We were served very friendly, attentive and well from the moment we entered until the moment we left. Everything was at the table shortly after ordering, even though the restaurant was busy. The frozen margarita was delicious, the food was super delicious and the brownie with coconut ice cream... mjam! We'll be back there soon, even without a birthday. In our opinion, absolutely recommended.

Great mexican restaurant with lovely outdoor place for seat, food was very delicious, you can find vegetarian and vegan variations of food there 😊 staff is very friendly, I also tried coctail Banana Colada and it was one of the best coctails what I drank this summer and it was in a cute skull glass ❤️ i enjoyied nice time there and I left totally full and satisfied!!! Portions are great, I have to come back and try their deserts too 😊🙂 It's very cool place!

The experience at Desperados is a small insight into the food culture of Mexican cuisine. A menu with a lot of choice, great and friendly service, food was prepared quickly and the little details like glasses depicting the skull from Mexican culture are one of many great details that Desperados has to offer. Highly recommended if you value good food and atmosphere.

Meat from fajitas was rather tough, dry and seasoned blandly. The rice is no sensation either. Service was OK. I'm not quite sure. I'm not very impressed.

We weren't that enthusiastic, it took forever until we just got our drink and then even longer until the food came. Then it's not exactly cheap like most Mexicans. The food itself was good, not great, but good and the service was super nice. Well, it was half past eight on Friday evening, but there weren't that many visitors there at that time.
