Domino in Saint-Léonard

So first the positive, the toilets are clean, the coffee is good and the dessert too. Now for the negative, the roast beef was a bit tasteless, the salad dressing from the tube and the fries still gave us a lot of fun 5 hours later, with noises coming from our throats. All in all, 300km driven for bad food.

You have to go there you won't regret

Everything is super good at Domino! Special mention for the “Brisolée” served in autumn 👍 The boss Idalia is super friendly and always with a smile on her face. I highly recommend this restaurant !

Not recommended. We were a group of 4. The waitresses saw us several times but still didn't serve us. After waiting 15 minutes (at 30°C), we left.

Never again!!! Bad service. Long waiting time. Our children were almost finished when we got our roast beef. In hot temperatures it's not nice if you have to wait a long time for your drinks. You can't support restaurants like this.

Only one waitress for a lot of guests, which is why she was running back and forth very stressed. In addition, you cannot pay by card, which is a must, especially in this day and age (Corona).

Super terrace and parking nearby

Despite the nice location of the restaurant it's surprising that: 1) the menu is limited to 2 choices, 2) the waitress was surprisingly impatient and impolite (not respecting the correct use of mask to make matters worse). Even the second waitress simply rushed to drop a menu when asked, without even talking to us. Our order was straight up incorrect with two of our drinks that were supposed to be identical containing different quantities (despite being ordered clearly in French). I was really let down by the above. This is truly a really nice place for such a disappointing service....

The waitress brought food to locals but not to me. Maybe because I don't speak french well? If you are a tourist stay away!

Classic café restaurant with a large terrace near the underground lake. The pizzas are good for the rest of the menu I don't know. The setting is pleasant.

It's worth a visit, we ate very well and cheaply.

On August 14th, 2020 we wanted to eat and drink something small before visiting the underground lake. Since there was no space left on the terrace, we sat outside in front of the restaurant. It was possible to drink something. We actually wanted to eat a sandwich or a portion of fries. Neither of these were possible, although rows and rows of fries were served on the terrace, but with roast beef or other dishes. Such inflexible behavior in this difficult time of Corona can only be afforded by restaurants where guests come one way or another and usually only once and not again. It's a shame, there is another way, as many in this guild prove.

Premier établissement à la sortie du lac souterrain de St Léonard, il faisait chaud...Belle terrasse ombragée, très agréable. Service efficace pour boire une verre. Fait remplir un formulaire pour le suivi Covid dans le respect des règles.

Serveuse à la limite de la politesse. On a l’impression qu’on la dérange, on ose rien demander. De plus le service est très lent. Aucune attention est faite, même un petit chocolat avec le café.

After visiting the lake we wanted to eat at Domino, as it was the only restaurant on site, but had a terrible experience. We went to sit at a dirty table. Shortly after, the waitress came and said that the table is reserved and that the people sitting there would come back. I would expect a reservation tag but ok, no big deal, we moved to another table. Next when we wanted to order, after waiting for quite some time, we got to hear from the waitress that there were only two options available. Roastbeef salad with fries (24,5CHF) and a platter with cheese and dried meat. Because of the limited selection, I asked if its possible to just share a plate allowing us to eat something we truly like later that day. This was not possible at all. I truly didnt like the attitude of the waitress. I understand that it was busy and she might have been stressed but something like this can really screw up a day. Please, do warn people upfront what you have to offer and treat them with respect.

When I think, I only think good things (of Domino). But it also happens that I have a drink there without thinking about anything. It's not easy, but it's restful. I've been there many times... and you won't stop me from going back! When you love, you don't count!

Nice bistro \ restaurant where you eat well with a menu offering Valais specialties. You can also stop there just for a drink. Customers can easily park in the free, uncovered public parking space located directly opposite (white zone).

Restaurant mit nicht-lokaler Küche.Langsamer und verwirrender Service.Er fragt uns, ob wir Mineral- oder Naturwasser wollen, natürlich fragen wir nach natürlichen, niemand trinkt hier in Saint Leonarde abgefülltes Wasser, das Leitungswasser ist sehr gut und von Bergquelle.Um Diskussionen zu vermeiden, diskutieren wir nicht.Schlechte Gerichte. Vorgeschlagene Tageskarte mit Salat, Roastbeef mit Pommes und Dessert, ohne Reis oder Nudeln oder Polenta, kein typisches Walliser Gericht.Hier kommt eine Untertasse mit Salat, serviert mit einer süßen Sauce und zwei Scheiben Schinken (ohne Vorwarnung), mit 3 Stück Brot.Dann das Roastbeef, vielleicht war es kein Roastbeef, es sah aus wie alles andere, mit ein paar Chips.Zum Schluss fragen wir, dass Sie Nachtisch haben, es sagt uns Eis, wir dachten, der Nachtisch war auch Käse statt nichts.Etwa 19 Franken für diese Soft-Menü, aber die Überraschung ist 7 Euro für eine Flasche Wasser nie gefragt und nie wollte, eine Schande.Wann kommen wir zurück, um die Walliser Küche zu sehen?Das Restaurant hat keine Parkplätze, der Mindestparkpreis beträgt 3 Franken.Geh zu McDonald, es kostet die Hälfte und es ist besser.
