The focus is on “authentic” Italian - which is far more subtle than the usual pizzas. I got seated on the terrace, under an impressive chestnut tree - perfect on a warm summer evening.A huge thumbs-up to the chef and the waitress for the genuinely friendly and smiling service throughout the dinner. Surprisingly the menu is available in Italian only; therefore the chef took plenty of time to explain all the dishes. As starter I had the grilled octopus with green peas sauce and focaccia: delicate and truly delicious. As main course I chose the pacherri (kind of tubular pasta) with fresh salsiccia (spicy Italian sausage) and basil: again a generous and tasty portion. As sweet I indulged myself with a homemade crumble rhubarb tart. In high-price Switzerland, the bill remained rather moderate and amounted to CHF70 - which is outstanding value for money.
