I visited the Coldrerio service area during a car trip. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the facility. The bathrooms are clean and well-equipped, and the outdoor area is always well-kept. The only weak point of the structure is the price, which is slightly high compared to other service areas in the area. The fuel is around 20% more expensive than at other gas stations. Using the toilet costs 1.-. This voucher can be credited towards an order in the restaurant. The drinks are thus reduced back to a normal price level. Without the use of the toilet, it's really too expensive, always compared to Ticino. The rest stop isn't so great that it would be worth stopping here. But fortunately everyone is free to choose what they want.

I now bypass this overpriced rest stop and fill up in Mendrisio, 3 km further/cheaper before. There is also a snack bar in Coronado a few 100 m away.

How about a toilet notice, yes it's easy to find if you don't have to go to the toilet extremely urgently after a traffic jam. (4000 km Germany, Austria, Italy, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia & Serbia and I didn't find a rest stop without instructions) You are forced to wash your hands with piss-warm water because there are no regulators (or not visible). Super delicious pizza! I'd love to come back!

Paid over 50 CHF for a pizza menu with 2 of 3 pizzas slightly burned, 1 pasta menu and 1x chickenwings + fries and a 0,5l drink. We only ate it because we were really hungry!!!😂 Next time, I will eat before we pass the border at a Autostrada or drive on (probably) until I am in Germany. The staff was also not really interested, maybe they were just bored and underpaid 😜
