Holidays 23-24: Im USA and stayed here 2.5 weeks. I found the staff to be most pleasant and attentative to my needs. Bebe and Poalo were wonderful 😉 The rooms are modern, very clean (great job housekeeping!!) and comfortable. Dont worry about the walk to the ski runs--there is a choice of low or high road (10 min walk) and wonderful to see/experience many things along the path you might nor otherwise know!! Great job, Eiger Gasthaus! 👍👍👍👍😉

Beautiful cozy stay, kind staff, attention to detail, will return.

Frankly, it's not a place I would leave again, a typical attic room, no coffee machine, no fridge, hotel reception is the bar 🤦‍♂️. Paid on booking they wanted to make us repay the stay (fortunately we had payment records via the bank), we paid cash for the restaurant, the same thing they wanted to make us pay again.

Unfriendliest staff I've ever encountered in Switzerland (downstairs in the restaurant). More or less expulsion because we just wanted a drink (at 4 in the afternoon) simply unbelievable

I just have to give it one star. The owner or hotel manager is only interested in money, she doesn't care about the guests. We were there in the summer for a weekend with a small dog. At first her staff said that the little puppy didn't cost anything, but after a nice conversation over dinner in her restaurant, the boss actually charged it afterwards. And that at 250 CHF for one night and even though we even ate in their hotel. On the second night, there were party guests in the next room who were under the influence of drugs. After 3 hours of rioting until 2 a.m., the hotel manager kept saying the guests would be thrown out, but that didn't happen because of course they were paying guests. As compensation we got the dog costs back and a bottle of their house wine which, according to the internet, costs 2 CHF. Never again, I cannot and will not recommend it to anyone.

The room itself was cute but was very hot. There was no air circulation unless you opened the window or door. But if you did, the construction yard was right outside and they get to work at 6:00 and made a lot of noise. Good luck sleeping through the noise or the stuffy room. Honestly, the work yard ruins the experience here. Its a decent view because its Murren but still dampened by the work yard and train station. Breakfast was ok, pretty standard European fruit, cold cuts, and hard boiled eggs. Dinner was excellent though! And every worker was so nice and so helpful.

We were told the restaurant is full although there were many tables around. Guests after us who did not have a reservation got to enter. I guess, they do not accept Asians, although we asked for a table politely in English. Shame on them. (Check on the demographics of positive reviews vs negative reviews)

Absolutely unwelcoming location. Refused a table for our family although there were plenty of empty tables around. When we left the restaurant, we saw a local promptly served to a table. I can only assume this restaurant doesn't like to serve Asians. Having lived in Switzerland for many years, it is easy to spot places that display racist vibes and this is certainly one of them. Based on the reviews, it seems like their racist behaviour has been recurrent.

Cheap guesthouse in Mürren, delicious food, good breakfast. Our room was spacious and experienced mountaineers can get over the fact that the toilet and shower are in the hallway. Both were very clean!

Four of us stayed at this hotel from Friday to Sunday. Due to bad weather, we had to spend Saturday in the hotel. The room was a bit small, but we were able to spend the day and evening in the restaurant and bar area with very good service and friendly staff. Many thanks to Ema, who took great care of us guests. We will come back next year. :)

We stayed here for two nights. On the second night there was a loud party going on in the bar downstairs until 3am. When we complained about this the following morning, we were told that it was due to a group of guests who had been drinking and taking cocaine and there wasn't a lot the owners could have done about it. However when we had gone to check what was happening during the night, it was clear that the bar staff were also joining in with the party. It's also difficult to believe that there is nothing that the guesthouse could do since the group had arrived before midday and they had chosen to serve them alcohol non-stop for 14 hours. The group had also been playing music loudly for the whole day from a speaker they had brought along. The owner seemed more concerned about facilitating the partiers than the other guests and did not offer us any real apology, only excuses. The room and breakfast were adequate.

We ate a couple of pizzas and some beers here, very delicious and the service was very good, expensive like everything else in this area but recommended.

While we didn’t stay at the hotel, we can highly recommend the restaurant. Cozy and warm, this eatery provided the ultimate Swiss experience for us. Wonderful fondue, delicious wine and beer and directly across from the train station so an easy trip back to Lautterbrunen.

Hotel: 4.5/5. Very nice rooms, good staff, and good location. Our only complaint was that the rooms could get fairly hot at night, even in late summer, and since there was no air conditioning, the only option was to open the windows, but there were spiders waiting right outside the windows, so we didn't want to do that. Restaurant: 4/5. Food was pretty good. Nothing stellar, but good enough. Service was a bit slow.

Fantastic, cute little room for our family. Kid's beds upstairs in a little mezaine loft. Right next to the train station. Fast WiFi.

Extremely disappointed with the young man and old lady’s behavior when we presented for dinner last night. We were waiting to be seated and when the two ignored us ( I was with two kids <5) we walked in and told them that we were waiting to be seated since they had outside sitting arrangements and welcome desk with menu in it. We were told by the man that if you see the place is full of people we are open but my husband repeated himself because we wanted to know if they were still taking new customers as it was 820 pm , in website it said they served till 930 pm. An old lady jumped into conversation and ask my husband rudely what happened to him? How long he waited , and then answered herself 1 sec ? My husband tried to explain why we waited to come in. All of a sudden she said to us , actually the kitchen is closed . We just looked at each other because the kitchen was infront of us and chefs were working, people were being served and the closing time everywhere was 930 pm. We left the place and I’m writing this review because no where in Switzerland people behaved like this restaurant’s hosts behaved. Please work on your manners! We went back to our hotel ( next door- eiger hotel ) and they happily served us a dinner at 9 pm. Thanks for ruining our vacation!( New York)

Eiger Guesthouse exceeded our expectations. The views and the service was great. Exceptionally clean restrooms. The restaurant also has very good food. They also let us store our luggage before check-in and after checkout. Thank you Eiger Guesthouse staff!

We stayed here only for one night, and really enjoyed our time. I booked a bedroom with shared bathroom and was worried about the cleanliness of the bathroom. The bathroom was shared by 3 bedrooms in each floor. Every time i used the bathroom it was super clean and tidy. I noticed that they keep cleaning the bathroom during the day. The staff were friendly and helpful. We needed to check in a bit earlier because i was feeling sick. At first they were very rigid about 3pm check in but our rooms got ready around 2:30 and they allowed us to check in. The breakfast was great and the rooms were spacious and clean. My room didnt have a great view but it was cloudy and I didnt care much. We really enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be reasonably priced.

We got the basic room but the common bathroom was superclean so we didn't mind. They are very friendly and accept dogs. The restaurant has a delicious pizza and fondue. The view from the hotel is amazing and the location next to the train station super convenient.

Excellent location, right across the train station and it was very quiet! Friendly staff with super clean rooms! 😊 If the weather is good, you get good views as well! Breakfast was basic: Croissant, breads, ham/salami, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juice, etc. Vegetables were missing from the breakfast buffet.

I ate lunch in the restaurant with my wife the food was very good 😊

Wonderful hotel with very hospitable staff

The room is clean and comfortable. This is the first hotel in my trip the has USB-C charger (Normally there is USB-A or a normal plug) The view is great. We can see the mountains from our first floor room. These is sport center nearby. With the hotel ticket, we can access the swimming pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is located opposite Murren train station.

We had a wonderful time here! The room was clean and bright, with a fun mural on the wall. We also had a great balcony view of the Eiger. The restaurant attached to the inn is also very nice, and the breakfast spread is pretty decent. The staff (shoutout to Arthur in particular) were friendly and helpful. The location in Murren is perfect - right across from the train station, with easy access to the main town thoroughfare and all the nearby lifts and hiking paths. The elevator was also nice for our initial hike up to the room with our luggage.

We stayed 2 nights at this establishment and also dined twice at the restaurant. The location in the immediate vicinity of Mürren station is a real plus. Very pleasant and professional welcome (guesthouse and restaurant) Beautiful room for 4 with a mezzanine for children. Renovated room with modern and warm decor. Large bathroom and nice shower. Balcony with partial view of the massif. Very good breakfast. As for the restaurant, we tried pasta, pizza, risotto and fondue. All the dishes were very good and generous.

This restaurant was so full of kindness and cheer and delicious food. Emma was a light on cold and rainy day. She made us all laugh and visited with us several times. The food is good…. But frankly it tastes better because it’s served with love. The favorite of the group was the gnocchi. The pizza was a hit because the crust was good. And the shrimp and lemon risotto is worth getting.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Guesthouse Eiger! The room was spacious and clean. We reserved the family room with bunk beds and the view and location were unmatched. It was a rainy day when we arrived and we utilized the complimentary pass to the local swimming pool/spa. It definitely helped make up for the weather. The staff were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting to stay in Murren. We will be back!

If you visit Mürren, make sure to dine at one of the restaurants here. I ordered pizza and shrimp pasta and they were delicious. Draft beer goes down smoothly too. The spicy oil sauce at this restaurant was so delicious that I wanted to take it home. This is the best sauce for those who miss spicy flavor.

Beautiful hotel with the most amazing views! It doesn't get much better than this! It is also very convenient to get to via train and cable car as it is right next to the train station.

For me it was a perfect hotel with a panoramic landscape of the Jungfraujoch and the other mountains. I was there for 4 days and the staff was nice. good food, good services and good price. If I have a chance I will go back

My husband and I recently stayed at Eiger Guest House in Mürren, and had a wonderful experience. The guesthouse is located in the charming village of Mürren, which is like something out of a storybook. The hotel and restaurant are conveniently located for everything Mürren has to offer, and is directly opposite the BLM train station. The Schilthorn cable car is about a 10-15 minute walk away, as it's at the opposite end of the village. After a friendly and efficient check-in, we headed up to our bedroom. The rooms are cosy and comfortable, and our room type featured a balcony overlooking the mountains. Overall, I was really impressed with our room, and although we only stayed one night, it had everything we needed. It was really lovely to enjoy the balcony overlooking the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains. We dined in the restaurant on the evening we stayed, which offered a warm atmosphere with great service and good quality food. There was a range of options available, from Swiss classic dishes to pizza and more. After a great night's sleep, we enjoyed the delicious breakfast. It was a continental buffet featuring fresh fruits, pastries, yoghurt, cereal, eggs, and more. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Eiger Guest House. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Swiss Alps. There is so much to do in the area, you might need more than a night to fully explore.

All the staff was incredibly friendly. Restaurant has good food, Italian menu. Located a little far from the gondala, but a very doable walk even with lots of luggage. Also right across from a small train if timing works out. A little more qaint being farther on the edge of town. Loved that our room had a balcony with amazing views.

We stayed in a small room with a shared bathroom. The balcony was nice. The shared bathroom was kept very clean. Breakfast was good; hardboiled eggs, toast, good coffee, fruit, ham, various breads. Only complaint is that it was very noisy, even at night, due to the construction in the area. Wish i had been made aware of that beforehand but its not under their control.

We recently stayed here for 4 days. We got to stay in the newer portion. The kids loved the bunkbed.The view was fabulous. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff were friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Ema and her team at Eiger Guesthouse was a wonderful host and we had an absolute blast when staying in Murren. Rooms are fantastic and the view, holy cow!

This place is phenomenal, as soon as we walked in that door, we were already greeted with a warm welcome. Ema and her team made sure that our 3 night visit in Murren was enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was good and decent. Location was perfect and our room was newly renovated, the view was out of this world. There is also a bar and restaurant at the bottom of the hotel. If you want a hotel where you want to feel at home, book it now! You won’t regret it! 10 stars for me!

Very warm welcome from the staff (she).. Special mention to the person who welcomed us to the hotel, because the Swiss German and French language barrier is not easy. Room (15) very clean with a remarkable view of the EIGER!! We will return to this small village in the land of Heidi, perched in the heights and closed to cars... Thank you for your welcome.

My family received anything but a friendly welcome and were only served reluctantly after repeated requests. Such staff is a disgrace for such a beautifully located hotel with good facilities. A product handed out (apple spritzer 5dl in a PET bottle) had expired. A pity. Never again.

Very friendly staff which are serving delicious pizza and spaghetti carbonara! Just across the street from the BLM train station (1minute walk). The only pitty is, that they start cooking just After 17:30.

Wonderful lodge-style hotel with welcoming staff and a good breakfast. The location is also ideal, sitting across the street from the gondola station.

I walked into this place for a beer and realized it was a hotel upstairs. The place is very cozy, I liked the decoration and cleanliness, the bar is very cool and the attention given to us by the bartender was very good. There are several options for local and other beer. I recommend this place

The hotel is old, atmospheric and very well-kept. It is clean and tidy. Fantastic service. The best location, next to the railway station. The view from the window is beautiful. The room has an alpine atmosphere. Breakfast was tasty, modest, continental. The food in the restaurant was very good. I recommend!!!

This is a cozy, family-owned hotel run by some very nice people. The rooms are small, but when in Murren, who wants to spend time in their hotel room? It's located directly across the road from the train station which proves to be very convenient. It also has a restaurant downstairs with great food and service. Francisco was also very helpful with local travel tips.

Stayed Aug 25th-28th. What a wonderful stay! Great location by the train station. Friendly host who serves a great breakfast every morning (also gave us a chocolate bar when we left!). Scrambled eggs, breads, coffee, fruits. A great way to start the day. Room was great, bed was comfortable. No AC but with the windows open it was very comfortable. Did not eat in the restaurant but it was a lively atmosphere and it looked really good. Highly recommend if you're staying in Murren.

This place is minging, dirty tables, crockery, toilets.🤢 Complained about a dirty plate, waiter simply put his thumb on the dirt and wiped it off with said thumb, then just stared at me ...simply incredible.🤣 You can tell immediately what a place is like by the toilets...they are grim, locks don't work either.😒 Food was ok to be fair...for Murren.

The restaurant was by far the worst place I have been in Switzerland. The best description is “drunk American decides to cook Swiss food with no experience”. The Rösti was an insult to the dish; not crisp and swimming in grease. The “risotto” was dry rice in wallpaper paste. The service was strikingly bad. The best thing you could say about the place was that they can pour beer from a tap into a glass but even there they don’t use glassware with a line so you have no idea what the pour is. Even in Mürren, this place is a tourist trap.

Our favorite place to eat in Bern. The most friendly and fun wait staff. Amazing pizza, which was surprising to us. Very hospitable and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They tell you what you are getting when you order a beer and they fill it to the line. My husband got a huge glass. I think it was a liter? Look at the pic! We ordered from another restaurant today in the Netherlands where the drinks were not on a menu and they brought out 0.31 L filled below the line. It was extremely disappointing. We miss you, Eiger! The raclette was delicious. The 007 was our favorite pizza. You can get the Rösti made extra crispy if you just ask! :) sooo good!

Restaurant: Rosti with chicken and mushrooms - was out of this world delicious. risotto with lamb and saffron was comforting. After asking for a longer cook on the risotto, of which our wonderful server (Joesay) happily assisted with, the dish was melt in your mouth and flavorful. The cook on both the chicken and the lamb were perfect. The service was top notch. They gave us a pitcher of water. Thank you for that. The chocolate ice cream was my hubby's favorite dessert all trip. The Apple strudel was good but the vanilla sauce elevated it. Hotel: clean, tidy, sparkling bedroom and bathroom. Great view of the mountains (despite the construction going on). The man who checked us in gave us passes to the Sports Center, we highly recommend the pool. The hotel gave us extra towels so we can save money and not rent from the Sports Center. The breakfast was included and the eggs was FLUFFY! The buffet was a usual spread, the fruit salad was delicious. Everyone hotel staff we interacted with were cheerful, friendly, professional, helpful and attentive. We highly recommend stay and eating at Eiger Guesthouse!

Love this little restaurant!!! They make some fantastic thin crust pizza and the fondue was awesome. Very relaxed cool pub vibe inside. Even better than the food is the wonderful host, Ema, who is hilarious and explodes with personality.

Wonderful place. Was there every evening for dinner. Unfortunately I didn't stay at this hotel. The employees are very friendly and open. The food is very tasty and the pizzas are particularly good. Highly recommended. The home-brewed house beer is the best! If you are in Mürren, it is worth a visit.

Only restaurant in Murren serving after 9PM (kitchen closes at 10PM) We had salad, rosti with chicken & mushrooms, and schnitzel. The rösti was good but the schnitzel was delicious!! 🥳

A really nice view, the staff are really nice and friendly. The restaurant and the service are perfect, the price is good for the quality. I recommend taking a little tour if you have the chance.

EXCELLENT restaurant! The menu selections are wide and varied with local favorites and international choices abounding. Fantastic wine and beer list as well. The staff are very attentive and the price is amazing! If you are here in Murren, you have to stop here.
