Good welcome On the other hand, making a Chicken Pastilla with chicken shawarma meat and charging around 17 chf is a bit excessive. It spoils the taste! You had to use chicken breast and not kebab meat. I was disappointed and felt cheated Unfortunately I strongly advise against this restaurant

Very average couscous. Vegetable broth too salty. Supermarket merguez without meat or taste. Tasteless and dry chicken. When questioned, the boss said he was short of supplies and had to make emergency repairs? Brief. North African restaurant to avoid.

I am passing through Geneva, I was able to eat the couscous there as well as a tagine, both were just excellent service, nothing to say, I fell in love with the lamb couscous.

Very slow failure. We spent an hour and a half until the food came out and at the end it came out not good. The restaurant is not good at all Don't even try to go 👎

I just give one star for the welcome which was not bad by the owner of the restaurant, the interior of the restaurant was well decorated but on the other hand it is very dark and there is no ventilation, you feel suffocated, so you feel is placed outside. The waiter was not at all professional, in fact he didn't speak French, but that's not the problem, he knew nothing about what was in the dishes proposed by the chef, and what bothered me the more he touches our glasses and cutlery where we are going to put our mouths, I found that really not hygienic. After placing the order, he comes back to us after about fifteen minutes to tell us are you the one ordering grilled meats? While we ordered something else, there weren't many people in the room otherwise I would have understood his oversight. We finally receive our order, after a long wait, and I am already shocked at the portions served, I ordered a lamb tagine with vegetables, already the tagine is tiny, the piece of meat is also tiny y' there's nothing to eat in it, for the vegetables there were more potatoes than green vegetables, and on top of that it was too spicy it burns the throat, it doesn't deserve the price of 31 balls at all, it's a real scam, and for the couscous that my husband ordered, it was the same, not good at all, not enough vegetables (only carrots) the chickpeas were not well cooked, the portion of meat is tiny, finally a real disaster, for 31 bucks too, and we ended up being offered a green mint tea, my husband thought it was offered by the restaurant, but we ended up paying 5 for it - anyway for just one drink, I find that excessive, I don't understand the people who gave this restaurant 5 stars, I think it wasn't the same owners before, otherwise I will never come back to eat at this restaurant.

Extraordinary experience! A real trip to Algeria, a return to basics in the heart of Geneva. A perfect welcome and service, fresh products. Trust the chefs, they are great. If you haven't figured it out yet, a must-see in Geneva.

It was a first in this restaurant for me and my husband who were visiting Switzerland, and we simply loved the cuisine! Very generous and tasty dishes (one of the best coucous we have eaten). A little nod to the manager who warmly welcomed us :) We will definitely come back. Thank you and see you soon !

To flee very quickly! Very bad experience of this establishment, first of all a very familiar welcome from the waiter with no professionalism. After 40 minutes of waiting we were lucky enough to be able to place our order with the waiter who gave us very poor advice. So we received our starters which were not great, accompanied by stale bread before having received our drinks at the table and we had to ask for them too…. But it is not over to crown the dinner which had become a masquerade, the dish that we had chosen with the advice of this same waiter was, excuse me for the term, but filthy and we did not touch our plates. Finally at the time of the bill we clarified that we would not pay for the 2 dishes which had not even been tasted. The waiter became angry and spoke to us in an insulting manner, he did not want to hear anything about our complaints and above all no professionalism! I recommend it to anyone!

Some of the best Tunisian food we have eaten anywhere. All freshly prepared and well done, with a professional and friendly staff. A nice surprise was the fresh fruit platter an sweets offered at end of meal. Would definitely go back.

Perfect place to try some unique food!

On work trip to Geneva, and stumbled upon this lovely place with a colleague. The staff were so kind, welcoming, and helpful we didn't want to leave! Food came quickly and was very tasty. We weren't left with empty tea pot, and were properly stuffed and happy when we left. Gem of a place.

If only I had an extra stomach!!! Awesome authentic food!

Ce n'est plus un restaurant tunisien mais plutôt marocain car il 'y a eu changement de propriétaire. C'est un mauvais restaurant accueil désagréable avec 1 heure d'attente pour être servi (grillade). Paiement CB non accepté soit disant en panne. C'est un nouveau propriétaire marocain qui s'en fout des clients et il oblige les clients à aller retirer de l'argent pour le payer en liquide. très mauvaise expérience dans ce restaurant. Expérience vécu il'y a une semaine.

Très déçu de l'accueil et du comportement de la personne qui nous a reçu. Réservation faite via la Fourchette qui stipulait bien- 50% nous a été détourné et refusé car il y aurait eut un soit disant changement de propriétaire... Belle publicité mensongère. Je souhaite bon appétit et un accueil bien plus chaleureux à quiconque y souhaite manger car de notre côté nous sommes rester abasourdis.

Overall Nice Moroccan food I recommend chicken Tajein and vegetables couscous. Good Moroccan tea ( Attai ).

Such horrible customer service. Food took 35-40 mins to arrive with the restaurant being empty. The food was so oily, orders were somehow wrong! Such a joke. Staff seemed so careless too.

This restaurant is such a joke. Food was decent but that's about it. Firstly, service was so bad and dodgy. No customers in the restaurant and they still managed to take an hr to get food out, for some naans. Secondly they got the orders wrong, for the curry and naans (we had pointed at them on the menu). Lastly they told us afterwards that the card machine wasn't working (lol), even though they 'accept' card. At least other restaurants like this tell you beforehand that they don't accept card. Don't recommend at all.

This place handle delivery boys like cockroaches ..they are not even allowed to come in .... The staff......your lucky if they smile...the food go there and see.

Serveur ne parlait ni français ni anglais et ne savait pas ce qu’il faisait là. Les tajines étaient trop salés, les alcools n’étaient pas ce qu’on avait commandé.

This place is a joke, do not go there. I booked a 50% deal with the Fork (50% off all à la carte food, no extra conditions). When ordering, the waiter insisted that I have to order a drink, as supposedly it is required in the deal. He would not honour the deal without forcing me to buy a drink (which I did not want), even when I showed him the deal has no such condition. Waste of time and bother. I left. Also the place does not have any air conditioning, so not good for hot weather.

Fantastic food & service , very friendly staff and really expensive , worth to try . I think this place closed now , went to search for it was closed !!!

المطعم التونسي وليس مغربي ،المطعم جيد بس موقعه صعب شوي .

Accueil poli et serviable. Le couscous est bon et très généreux, par contre un peu fade (manque de sel). Par contre les prix sont assez cher en dehors du plat du jour (29fr pour un couscous au poulet).

قريب من الطبخ المغربي ولكن ليس مغربي، طلبت كتف خروف وطلبت طاجين دجاج بالخضار، كتف الخروف لذيذ جداً، لكن الطاجين مو طاجين واضح انهم طابخين الخضار والدجاج في قدر وغارفينه في الطاجين، بالمجمل أكله نظيف ولذيذ

My favorite restaurant in Geneva. Highly recommend the El Mektoub Couscos. A combo combination plate that is great. They also have some very nice red wines from Morocco and Tunisia. I have eaten at Middle East and North Africa restaurants all Over Europe and the USA and this one is the best.

Great food! This was my best meal in Geneva! The decor can for surely be updated, but the food is really the star!! Meals are absolutely stunning. It's been about 4 weeks since I've visited and I can still taste it. So yummy! I got the chicken/apricot dish and the meat was falling off the bone tender! It was packed with flavor and just the right amount of sweetness from the apricots. Soup as a starter is very fulfilling, but it's too good not to finish the whole thing! I hope you all enjoy a meal as I have! The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the decor. Honestly it was an outstanding meal and good service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The lamb is good. The rest of the food not that much. Considering the location, the available sitting space, the menu, the quality of food... unnecessarily expensive.
