Espresso Bar (vormals Alexander Bar) in Lyss

Pleasant atmosphere, great service

On Tuesday three people came into the restaurant. A woman from the staff came to the table and we ordered two small beers. My daughter didn't want to drink anything at the time. At this moment the lady's reaction was The staff was cheeky and arrogant. She told us that she had been working here for 30 years and that everyone had to order something to drink because it was like that all over Switzerland. The lady said it loudly and arrogantly and racist. She said that a person not ordering is blocking space at the table. At that time there were two women in the place and another was 5 people. The place was empty. The waitress served us beer. “We paid and left the restaurant without drinking the beer we ordered. It's a shame to treat customers like this." I don't recommend this place. The lady is very unfriendly and has no respect for people. Nobody has the right to treat other people like that! A pity!

The place was nice but the woman here was a bit racist and she don’t want to talk with foreign people, if you are from other country and you don’t speak Dutch, don’t come because you will not feel good with this kind of people

Rather old-fashioned coffee bar, cappucino came lukewarm.

Great bar, not too crowded and nicely decorated. Prices are totally ok too
