Good boss, before the current boss, many things were unhealthy, even insects were added to the salad plate. The place wasn't that clean either, the staff was rude. A lot of things have changed for the better since the new boss👏👏 As the only smoker restaurant, Schaffhausen's old town is the most popular restaurant. Would continue and changed in positive there I am secure. Congratulations to the boss and his team partner and wife❤️...💐

Nice personel. Price for a small beer 5.20 francs. Cola 0.33 liter 5.20 euros. Not cheap by German standards.

The dishes are good, the service is correct and the hygiene is excellent. The problem is that even for a Swiss restaurant, the price does not correspond to the quality - quantity offered. We got it for 278CHF for 8 and we're going to buy something else.

Just so good, the service is also professional and friendly, I go there again and again, even just for a coffee or a glass of beer. 😍

A fly came out between the spaghetti food. There is no apology even if you tell the staff.

We went to eat and both the food and the atmosphere were very good. It's a shame that the whole experience was ruined by the manners of one of their waitresses. To finish we ordered a coffee and when we asked for the bill he couldn't explain to me that the minimum consumption was 10 euros to pay by card. I asked him how a coffee could cost 10 euros and he threw the difference in coins on the table, he turned around and didn't say anything else. Very unprofessional treatment and an unpleasant experience.

Some guests don't use the urinal, which is a disgrace for the person who has to clean it all! I can't rate the food because I only had drinks. Service was top!

We always like to be in the Falcon. You can also sit outside when the weather is nice and enjoy an ice cream.

In 2023 you can pay pretty much cashless everywhere in Switzerland. Certainly in major cities. Not at restaurant Falken. Well, you can, but only from 10chf. So I had to pay 10chf for my 6.90chf beer. I politely asked the waiter if this is really the only way. Sadly yes. I also told him, that this will come with a 1 star review to which he was like, yeah ok. No problem.

Good cuisine and friendly staff

Food is worth the price. The upper floor non-smoking floor has a lounge atmosphere, while the lower one seemed to be like a beer hall.

Was with them yesterday. I ordered Cola Zero and got the original Cola. I ordered entrecotes with side dishes. I was served a meaty entrecotes, I complained, the waiter took it back, I got the same piece of meat back, much smaller and overcooked. I would have expected a different entrecotes.

Delicious food, loud atmosphere. If you don't mind the somewhat noisy environment, it is highly recommended.

We had a little difficulty navigating the menu as it was not in english; however, the staffs tried their best to help navigate. It was quite cold of service though. They did not care about us as much. WE greeted coming in and out, and they were not quite responsive to it. The food had no complaints though. IT was by far the best sandwich. The atmosphere was nice, and I like how there was separation for smoking and non-smoking space.

Great restaurant with fumoire. Friendly staff and very attentive. A visit will be worth it in any case.

The food was good. The portions are very generous and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly.

At my partner's request, we stayed in the non-smoking area on the 1st floor, spacious rooms that have been subtly modernized - beer wisdom and information can be read in the stairwell. The service was extremely attentive, the expenses were really good and with sufficient portions. I'll explore the smoking part on the ground floor on my next visit, it looks really cozy.

You can smoke on the premises, it has a nice terrace in the square.

ATTENTION: Falken is a smoking establishment! I was here to have a beer. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and accommodated my special requests. Top! You can sit down here to eat something, work on your laptop, study or just hang out with friends. Personally, the only thing that bothered me was that it was a smoking place. There is no non-smoking room. Afterwards everything smells like smoke. All in all, a good restaurant.

We made reservations for a group and were served quickly, but the food was very poor. A carelessly prepared plate with no vegetables and so few portions that I had to eat again outside.

Always good! Consistently one of the best snacks in Aarau for years...

I've only been there during the day to try out their different beers. Only to learn now that in the evening is a place for smokers

Was there for a beer in the smoking area, which is extremely large. Was there for a beer. The ambience is reminiscent of a traditional bar from times gone by. The staff absolutely convinced me! Everyone was very nice and accommodating.

We were there on the first of January, unfortunately all other establishments were closed. There are several floors, we sat in the non-smoking area. We ordered a couple of simple dishes for lunch, they arrived quickly, the girl was pleasant. The food itself is delicious.

Very bad, the lady with the white hair screams through the restaurant, she has to have discussions with me now because she didn't feel like explaining anything, she's really cheeky and impudent, she just takes the money out of your pocket, never again

So bad. Especially the lady who served, or rather bossed around, on the evening of November 12, 2022 and had less than suboptimal knowledge of German. Half of the menu card was not available. The rest was misunderstood. The quality was bad.

The food is ok, i mean you will find something to eat, but you will not be surprised, prices are ok for switzerland

The Falken restaurant is a very nice place to linger. Everyone is very friendly and the price is right. Dogs are also very welcome. I can recommend it to everybody. :)

Today's visit: Service: 2/10 no knowledge of the menu, unfriendly, dismissive, no interest in the customer shown. Food: 3/10 Sloppily prepared, hamburger patty wasn't even half the size of the burger bun, fries were very oily, not a treat for the palate. Ambience: 7/10 the restaurant on the first floor looks nice and the location is very central, but unfortunately you still don't feel comfortable. Beer: 2/10 Falkenbier is really not a fine beer. Unfortunately the alternatives were sold out. Overall, a very bad experience at the restaurant I once enjoyed visiting.

Not inviting. Smokers are courted here. It stinks and smokes everywhere...you can sometimes overlook the entrance to the non-smoking area...

Exceptionally good service Has a section for smokers and one for non-smokers. I drank a beer from the region and I really enjoyed it. I also wanted to pay by card, which in theory would only be possible from 10 Fr. - but the serving daughter entered 10 Fr. - and gave me 5 Fr. - back. That was very nice. Thanks for the good service and goodbye.

They take out your dataphone mid-meal and remove the tablecloth before you've finished eating. I'm not even going to comment on the food, it's not very varied and bland.

The service was fantastic. Very friendly and thoughtful. The food was also very tasty. Both the schnitzel and the cordon blue. Yet provided there star. The beer was lukewarm, which is a negative for me. Especially when it's hot. Furthermore, I can still recommend this restaurant.

Why you can smoke in such a big restaurant is a mystery to me. The food is good. Fast friendly service. The place would once again need a general renovation.

Caprese was wonderful 👌🏼 Cervelats were actually intended for the sausage and cheese salad...it was still tasty with Lyoner. The lager is one of the best!🍻😋

Large restaurant with terrace, ground floor for smokers, non-smokers on the first floor. Really friendly, personable and attentive staff. Happy atmosphere. Generous portions. The Cordon Bleu was good, it comes with fries (not homemade) and vegetables, I was expecting more vegetables on the plate. The burger was good and big. Chicken wings were crispy. Falken beer of course. It's a shame there was no children's menu. Between 25-30 francs. per person.
