Farah Café & Restaurant in Stans

Farah Café & Restaurant is perhaps one of the best Persian/Iranian restaurants I have ever dined at with my family and friends. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in the traditional Persian/Iranian style, and the wonderful family who run the business have created a truly magnificent welcoming environment where one experiences true Persian/Iranian warmth and hospitality. The food, “everything on the menu”, is just fantastic! Off the charts! We had a truly amazing time at Farah Café & Restaurant and highly recommend it! Looking forward to our next visit to the restaurant again soon!

The food is freshly prepared. The dishes are very aromatic and the plates are beautifully presented. The small portion of butter “disrupts” the look a little. The service was very friendly and explained the different menus to us. Super tasty baked lava (cheap!) and chai. We'd love to come back.

If you want to offer someone something special, you've come to the right place, whether with a partner or good friends. The ambience and food (soup and main course) was a very great experience! I was thrilled with the soup, some restaurants could take a leaf out of it. Staff very friendly and pleasant music. 🎶 A visit that is worth it and you will be thrilled like I was.

Loved our experience at Farah Cafe in Stans. The mezze shared platter is craving causing good! Also enjoyed the mixed grill for 4 people. It's not on the menu so ask to sample an assortment of Kebabs and they will custom make this for you. We will definitely be back, with friends and family.

My Iranian partner and I really loved the place! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and all the food - from traditional starters, over delicious kabab, to dessert treats - was excellent. The menu is perhaps not the biggest, but what Farah serves they do amazingly well - highly recommended!

I've searched high and low for Persian food in Switzerland and after 4 years I found it, thanks to a colleague's recommendation! As a Persian, I would say this is BY FAR the best Persian food in Switzerland! The family who owns the restaurant are so lovely and kind. The ambience is great, and the food is absolutely exquisite! As a happy customer myself, I will be coming back again for sure.

Very fine restaurant at the foot of the Stanserhorn cable car, just 5 minutes from the train station. As always, we enjoyed a very fine meal with perfectly coordinated and fine ingredients. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!

I recommend to try everything you see in the menu. They cook the Persian food with the best quality. As an Iranian who has lived out of Iran for a long time, I can tell you that it is very difficult to find Persian food with this taste and quality outside of iran

The place is clean, and the owners of the restaurant are nice Iranians. Chicken shaqaf and meat kofta are among his best dishes.

Absolutely loved this place. The food was Absolutely incredible, full of spices and fantastic flavor. The lamb kabab medallions were so tender I could cut it with a fork. The big highlight for me was the Saffron and Pistachio ice cream. Never have I ever tasted those flavors and it was divine. 10/10 would recommend.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Farah Café & Restaurant, and we were absolutely blown away by the food. Everything we ordered was delicious and spot on. I highly recommend the kubeidah kabab, which is a skewered ground beef kebab that is cooked to perfection. The meat is juicy and flavorful, and it is perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a variety of starters, including the creamy yogurt with cucumber, Mirza Qasmi, Bamiyah stew and eggplant with eggs. All of the starters were fresh and delicious, and they were the perfect way to start our meal. For dessert, we ordered the baklava, which is a traditional Persian pastry made with layers of filo dough, nuts, and honey. The baklava was sweet and flaky, and it was the perfect way to end our meal. Overall, I had a wonderful dining experience at Farah Café & Restaurant which is family-owned and authentic Persian cuisine. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Persian dining experience in Switzerland.

I absolutely loved everything I tried here from the Badenjan to the Joojeh Kabob. As an Afghan, I’m not pleased with just any rice and kabob dish. We also loved the service we received from Najiba Jan. It was a true pleasure to dine here. I’m so happy to have stumbled upon this hidden gem on my visit to Switzerland. It truly was the best meal I had on my trip. Lastly, I highly recommend a slice of their homemade cake!
