Moncucchetto Ristorante e Cantina offers a picturesque location enhanced by the modern building designed by Mario Botta. The first impression is impressive and the rooms invite you to linger. Unfortunately, the tour of the cantina was a bit short and did not provide the depth of information we had hoped for. The presentation seemed a bit unmotivated, which spoiled the overall impression a little. The highlight was definitely the aperitif platter at the wine tasting, which offered an exquisite selection of local delicacies. At a price of CHF 35, including aperitif, four wines were offered for tasting - two whites and two reds. The wines were okay, although not necessarily outstanding. The combination of a lovely ambience and solid wine tasting makes Moncucchetto a pleasant place for wine lovers, although the tour could be significantly improved.

Booked for a corporate event and were amazed by the great care and attention to detail. Everyone was warmly welcomed and the quality of the delicacies we were able to enjoy exceeded all expectations. Thanks again from the bottom of my heart!

My husband and I went here for dinner during our stay in Lugano and did the 5-course tasting menu with wine pairing. It was a great way to sample a lot of food and get to know their wines for the first time. The sommelier and server were both very friendly and professional, and the space is modern, clean, and inviting – located atop a hill with a spectacular view. The food was fun & playful, and was almost too pretty to eat. The crispy piglet was a standout, as was the cheese plate at the end of the meal (which the sommelier was all too generous to offer us extra of as we sipped our wine). To end the meal, my husband opted for their Ratafià della Nonna instead of grappa and we ended up leaving with two bottles; huge fan. All in all, if you’re looking for a unique dining experience and have the time for the slight drive out of the main Lugano city center, Moncucchetto is worth a visit.

Our wedding celebration at Moncucchetto could not have been nicer. The team around David and Andrea went out of their way for weeks in advance to fulfil any of our wishes and requirements for the party. They were helpful, professional and flexible during the preparations and the atmosphere on the evening was so relaxed and welcoming for adults and kids that everyone felt right at home. The food and of course the wine was absolutely delicious and the location and architecture of the place is simply stunning.

Ottimo posto dove assaggiare del buon vino, godere dell'ottima posizione/vista e dove si mangia moooolto bene!!! Presentazione e cura dei piatti eccellente e qualità altrettanto perfetta!!! Consigliatisssssimo!!!!

Ho visitato la cantina Moncucchetto opera dell'archistar Mario Botta, ( lo stesso che ha realizzato il Casinò di Campione ...), in occasione di un educational promosso da Ticino Wine, la cantina realizzata con modernità con annesso ristorante situata su di una altura con vista del lago di Lugano, è un piacevole incontro fra vinificazione e prodotto finale e ottima gastronomia.

Antica cantina ristrutturata con grande senso architettonico, di gusto e nello stesso tempo moderna. Attraente come locale dove riunirsi per eventi comunitari. Cucina da catering discreta.

Ein Ort hatten wir Glück zu entdecken. Der Service ist exzellent, wie auch das Essen und Wein. Die Lage ist einfach unglaublich.
