Accueil très sympathique. Des jeunes serveurs ou serveuses qui ont bien la pêche et qui vous mettent à l'aise rapidement. Prix tout à fait acceptable pour une station tel que Verbier.

Très bon accueil. Petite partie de fléchettes en attendant nos salades. Service au top et c’est bon. Merci pour ce chouette moment.

Que dire de plus: des pizzas surgelées dégoûtantes. Retirez-les du menu mais ne servez pas de merde. Quand vous demandez, ils prétendent que c'est fait maison. Le pire du pire

El restaurante tiene un ambiente muy acogedor. El piso superior es más informal para las bebidas, mientras que el piso inferior es ideal para sentarse y cenar. Cuando llegamos alrededor de las 7:30 pm, todo estaba lleno.Pedimos caracoles, ensalada, sopa de patatas, espaguetis a la boloñesa y fettuccine con motas en salsa de crema. La comida era deliciosa y bastante abundante.El servicio fue muy bueno también aquí.

Excellent food, excellent staff, lovely ambience/building well located on the walk up to the main Ski Lifts so very busy in the Apres ski times and throughout the evenings.Cheval of course is French for Horse and they do specialise in dishes made from horsemeat but also have other meat choices, horsemeat tends to look (uncooked) more like liver, less grainy than the likes of Beef or lamb so easy to spot.We visited many times during our 18months living and working in the village and enjoyed every single visit.

Family friendly and welcoming, with attentive and friendly staff and one of the best price-to-taste menus in the Swiss Alps. From post ski drinks (with complimentary pizza slices distributed around 5pm), to lunches and dinners, this is one of the most wonderful places to visit. Wide choices, but well thought out, from light salads through to seriously heavy dishes for those who need to regain strength after a hard day on the slopes. Pizzas of fantastic quality: try the Fer a Cheval – garlic and prawns to die for. Snails: the douzaine des escargots are a very special starter – dip your bread in the sauce – an absolute institution and one that my children have loved since they were aged three!! The croute jambon oeuf is a particularly delicious dish – and don’t miss out on the lasagne! Atmosphere: upstairs can be immersive, whilst downstairs is more intimate for couples, groups and families alike. This has long been my favourite alpine destination.

Vous savez ce que vous allez obtenir chez Fer. Cuisine solide, très bon service, pas de surprise mais toujours un bon pari. Je n'ai jamais eu quelque chose que je n'aimais pas et nous y allons assez souvent. Un de nos préférés dans la gare.

La nourriture était excellente, à la fois des lasagnes et des pizzas. Vous devez réserver car il sera bondé pendant le dîner. Le personnel est sympathique et les aliments sont de haute qualité.

This place is really underrated. It was one of the few places on New Years Eve to get a good meal without paying for a ridiculously priced prix fix meal. I love a great salad and found that salads in Verbier are not what I prefer - maybe it’s the dressing - but I had one of the best salads ever here! The salad was goat cheese on a baguette with a great mixed greens salad. The lasagna was excellent!

Pizzas gehören zu den besten, die man in den Alpen bekommen kann - besonders wie die Mexikaner. Gute Auswahl an Bier freundliches Personal.Es ist im Allgemeinen ziemlich voll, besonders an Wochenenden. Daher ist die Buchung sehr zu empfehlen. Ich würde sagen, dass das Restaurant im Untergeschoss wie Kreide und Käse ist - dasselbe Essen, aber keine Atmosphäre, eher eine schmuddelige Familienatmosphäre - also, wenn Sie Ihre Buchung im Obergeschoss angeben.

En el mediodia comimos un amigo y yo unas raciones bastante basicas en cantidad, aunque deliciosas, siendo caracoles y lasaña, mayormente.

Endroit très sympa, cuisine simple et goûteuse. Service agréable et à son affaire. Burgers, pâtes, desserts, tout était bon. Choix de bières.

Situe dans la montee en direction des telecabines, le Fer a cheval allie cuisine US et locale. La terrasse offre d un cote une superbe vue et la deco interieure vous emportera au Far-West... La cuisine y est excellente... J y suis allee a maintes reprises et je n ai jamais ete decue... Un de mes restaurants preferes dans la station.

Nous avons profité de la vue en terrasse juste avant de quitter Verbier. Nous avons très bien mangé : la charcuterie locale accompagnant le risotto verde était particulièrement sympathique, et le généreux burger valaisan était fort bon ; en outre, le service était agréable et efficace. Quelle belle manière d'achever notre séjour !

N’hésitez pas à vous arrêter dans cet endroit ! La cuisine a un très bon rapport qualité prix ! Tagliatelles chanterelles et foie gras poêlé à 28 francs et la pièce du boucher à 25 francs. De plus nous avons été très bien accueilli ! A refaire sans hésiter.

Eher wie ein Kollege, kein professionelles Personal.

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Tolle Getränkekarte. Liebte Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien! ! ! Wir hatten Hühnchen Pizza, Schinken und Zwiebeln und Wurst Pizza. Alle waren sehr lecker! ! Schokoladenkuchen Dessert war von allen geliebt. Wir kamen sogar nächste Nacht zum Nachtisch zurück!

Arrivé à 22h un samedi soir en plein Festival le serveur très désinvolte m’indique qu’il n’y a plus que des pizzas (donc du surgelé réchauffé) et outrepasse allègrement dans son comportement la nécessaire distance entre client et commerçant. Vivement déconseillé+ il y a tellement mieux à Verbier qui hélas se vide peu à peu de ses touristes d’été.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend mit einer Gruppe von Freunden, die wir auf unserer Skireise nach Verbier reisten. Gutes Essen und Bier, das Personal war auch nett. Das Ambiente war sehr gut, nicht zu cremig, aber knackig!

Pizza sans goût et minuscule a 27.-, tartare de bœuf sans saveur et insipide, poulet trop sec, serveur sans sourire et service catastrophique. Un joyeux cocktail pour un parfait restaurant d'attrape touristes. Heureusement pour eux qu'ils ne doivent pas fideliser leur clientel. Fuyez ce restaurant..

Service impec et serveur hyper sympa donnant de bons conseils...Perso je vous conseille la croûte au fromage,jambon et oeuf (topissime) avec un petit vin blanc du coin (formidable ) !!!C'est pas bon marché, mais c'est un peu comme cela partout en Suisse ... J'y retournerai avec grand plaisir ...Pour les amateurs de bières, la Dr Gab's jaune est excellente...

Super Service, ausgezeichnetes Essen. . . Ich meine, wirklich ausgezeichnet. . . Ein Dutzend Schnecken, gefolgt von einer tollen Pizza. . . Die Leute auf beiden Seiten von mir hatten auch toll aussehendes Essen! Der Salat sah eher wie eine Mahlzeit aus als einen schwachen Salat und das kalte Roastbeef sah verrückt aus! ! ! !Das Fer a Cheval ist eine Verbier-Institution und kann lange dauern.

We went initially for the bar upstairs which is heaving apres-ski with a good atmosphere; good range of beers wine and spirits and terrific service. They do serve meals upstairs and on the terrace but it can be hard to get a table even booking ahead. We ate downstairs twice--the decor is nothing special but not too gloomy for a basement room. The food is eclectic, more so than most other restaurants we sampled in town--a range of options with lighter meals on offer, welcome after more restricted choices elsewhere. One salad was a bit crazy with too much going on (though generous) but a special of cod was very good, vegetarian lasagna was highly praised. A surprisingly good family option. Pricing for this extremely expensive town was comparatively moderate.

First visit and won't be the last.Very busy so be sure to reserve a table. Service is friendly and efficient. We ordered the veal escalope(comes with fries and veg) - excellent and the lobster and prawn ravioli. This was probably one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a very long time. Delicious!!! For quality, price, ambience and great food, it's a must visit in Verbier!!!

Verbier is not a cheap place to eat out, but we paid more here than we had in much better restaurants, the food was pretty mediocre and the service wasn't great. I'm afraid this place is dining off its location - there are (much) better places to try.

Visited twice in last week. This place is very popular. Booking is recommended. Food and service are generally good. Great value too. Lobster ravioli is the pick of the dishes. Chorizo pizza is good, as is the tandoori one.Definitely worth a visit.

Très décevant et rapport qualité pris pas terrible. Avons mangé une pizza le midi. La pizza n’est pas bonne. Épaisse et du même style qu’une pizza au four surgelée.À notre arrivée, lors du dressage de la table, on nous a mis des verres à eau mouillés. En demandant des verres secs, on nous a indiqué qu’ils devaient vérifier s’ils en restaient, comme si notre demande était absurde!!!Les vins au verre sont chers pour la qualité servie (le vin n’est pas servi devant vous avec la bouteille).Bref très dommage car l’endroit est sympa et la terrasse fantastique.Du coup, y aller uniquement pour boire un café ou un verre après-ski.

After a lot of visits of Fer a Cheval in the past 35 years, we always come back. And we will come back, because we just love this place. Good food, nice view and central located. The only comment I have is that this year the staff could be more enthousiastic and better dressed. Also the music was missing or not as motivating. I hope the owner will do something about that. This place deserves extra attention of details. Besides that just visit this place, enjoy a good meal and take the small negatives for granted!

Lovely little restaurant recommended to us by locals. Food and service were excellent. I had the meat lasagne with ice cream for desert. Quite expensive for what it was but definitely recommend a visit on a Wednesday night

Busy place in the village central part! Rustic! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Food is good , almost homemade. I liked the lasagna. Try the smaller size, unless you’re starving!

Good for food and beer. However the staff think they are the poodles privates when all I asked for was a beer. Still, central and opposite Vignebagne.

The steak tartare was amazing, very good standard. Lasagne is divine. The tarte-tatin was ok..nothing to shout about. Must come here for the burger, the steak tartare and lasagne for sure.

The tables are packed together and the wait staff is ultra busy but the food is worth it. If you want a traditional meal and a restaurant/pub with atmosphere this is one of the best bets in Verbier. We especially like the toasted bread with cheese. Salads were also very good. Prices are high but not unreasonable for this part of the world. Reserve in advance - this place is crowded.

Wir haben zweimal im Fer a Cheval gegessen. Im Erdgeschoss ist es viel ruhiger und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Lassen Sie sich nicht von der Bar im Obergeschoss abschrecken, im Erdgeschoss ist es wirklich reizend! Sehr empfehlenswert

An American dive bar vibe with a simple menu. I ordered the spaghetti amatriciana and was very pleasantly surprised by the home made and satisfying taste. You can order half portions which is great. Good value for Verbier.

Que ce soit pour manger ou boire un verre c'est un peu l'endroit IN de Verbier, avec une ambiance Pub et des tarifs modérés.On peut aller à Verbier sans être rentiers mais il est difficile de trouver des endroits abordables et c'est le cas ici, sans renier sur la qualité. Ici, tout est moins cher, mais rien n'est moins bon. Un excellent rapport qualité prix avec une belle ambiance et une belle équipe, de la salle aux fourneaux.

Just stopped here for a quick drink and ordered the escargotes as a nice snack. From the 12 at least 7 were 1/3 the size of a normal one, really guys or is the fresh escargots season bad! Additionally the bread was old and hard. Guys, what is happening here?

This was our bar of choice as it was atmospheric and busy (but not loud) and en route from the Medran lift to our accommodation.I liked their weissbier (a wheat beer) which was not gassy like lager but was just as thirst quenching. It looks a bit strange as it's cloudy - and served with a bit of lemon - but was very easy to drink! Plenty of seating outside on the terrace in the sun or indoors if it was a bit chilly. We found that service was quick and friendly and on at least a couple of occasions we were provided with free tasty pizza.

Very cozy little restaurant with good prices and good food. Service can be a little slow when it gets busy but we were on a Holliday so we had time! Make sure to book a table or you won’t find a seat.

Really great meal, had the supreme de poulet special, really tender, moist and delicious chicken. Great food for a relaxed place.

After a salad the (small) Lasagne was en real treat. One of us said: the best lasagne he had ever eaten. This was the one with meat, but there is also a vegetarian version. It is quite cosy downstairs but also quite noisy. Nice Pinot Noir from Leytron.

Went there for lunch with my sister and friends. The staff were very welcoming and we very quickly felt at ease in this place. The prices are great considering the quality and quantity. I had half a portion of pasta arabiata and chips, delicious and well presented. Highly recommended!

Visited three times for lunch whilst skiing with a friend and each time the food and service were great. We ate lasagne, spaghetti, and goats cheese salad during our time and each was excellent. Also a great place for an apres ski beer, great for families too.

The Fer a Cheval has a great character and staff with a great personality. Even its seams quite small from the outside, the story's and good times you can have in there making it very big. Its a place to go and be aware, its has also a downstairs eating area.

Celebrated my friend’s bday here and it was fantastic. This place has a lovely warm yet vibrant feel and the goats cheese salad divine. The staff were friendly and ensured my friend had her surprise sparkler with dessert along with a French “happy birthday to you”! :-)

Best known place in Verbier for easy and more sophisticated food.Great terrace with superb views of the alps.Staff are by all means professionals and fast. There is also a restaurant downstairs.Clients are locals,ski teachers and people from all over the world.Not many from the eastern block.I advise booking a table especially during school holidays and Saturdays and Sundays.

On first inspection Fer a Cheval appears to be just another apres ski bar, but it’s also a great place to have dinner, the food is delicious.Just be aware that you might need to book a table because it’s always busy and it’s easy to see why.If you’re in Verbier this place is a must visit.

We came to this restaurant cos a friend recommended it, too bad when inside the place( it was busy) I said hello to one of the waitress and she totally ignored me. Then we waited couple of minutes to see if anyone would aknowledge us but never happened. So off we went! Pity.

Had a meal in the evening here, sat downstairs, very noisy. Food was good Had goats cheese salad, and veal Tasty and friendly service Had a lunchtime meal too, cheese on toast which was not how I expected it! The Fer a Cheval is one of the must go places in Verbier. The pizzas were excellent.crisp and with nice toppings. Upstairs is loud and full and downstairs is quieter.

"Et si on allait au Fer à Cheval?" Juste pour se faire plaisir. Pizza, deux salades mêlées deux boissons et les cafés. Pour moins de 80 francs. C'était bon, dans un cadre de photos et d'objets anciens. Mais pourquoi ces fourchettes et couteaux mal pratiques? Pourquoi tant de glaçons non souhaités dans nos boissons? Pourquoi la serveuse a-t-elle toujours les doigts dans les cheveux?Patrons sympas.

Fer a cheval is a popular restaurant in Verbier - in fact it’s always busy with a lively atmosphere. We went for dinner on New Year’s Eve and had a lovely evening. Service was very friendly and efficient for such a busy night. Whilst pizzas are popular, we chose escalope which was very good. A super evening.

By chance our ski hire place was next door to this great bar, friendly staff, great beer, wine & atmosphere. We liked it so much we booked a table for Christmas dinner, and had the best steak we've had for a while, great place!

With my daughter on crutches, the staff kindly offered us a car park and entrance that avoided the stairs - first sign of great service! Perfect for a pub style feed with beers on tap and the best salad de chèvre chaud I’ve had in Switzerland (and there is one on every menu here). Figs were a delicious touch

J'y suis revenu ce mois de décembre dans ce restaurant mythique à Verbier au cœur de la station. Belles terrasses devant et en contrebas de l'établissement. On y mange simplement mais c'est très bon. Pizzas, pâtes, burgers, croûtes aux fromages. Le personnel est accueillant et très sympathique. J'y suis allé à plusieurs reprises et je recommande vivement.
