One of the best places to have dinner in Basel with excellent food and very nice service! P.S. Beeramisu is amazing 😍

Went on the first evening after the new team took over and we had an excellent meal and were well looked after - keep it up!

We went with the team (10 people) for a tour of our own brewery, followed by a meal. The food is very good, as is the dessert. They are big portions. However, the waiter wasn't in a good mood, which we noticed.

I was extremely positively surprised by the Fischerstube. Great atmosphere, service very attentive, wonderful food that was freshly cooked and excellent. It's a shame this team is quitting at the end of the month. Thank you for the wonderful evening!

Pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and mediocre food. Its a bit pricey for what’s on offer.

The restaurant has its own beer with 6 options. It has a kitchen with a wide variety of Swiss and German recipes (Gordon blue, schnitzel, pork). He does not play music, nor does he bring water to the table. The decoration has nothing special to attract you and there is a very suffocating atmosphere due to the many people. The staff is quick and helpful. Have fun.

Great cuisine, delicious beer specialties from our own brewery & great service (thanks Laura)! We were here for dinner and still reserved a table for a Monday - luckily - always reserve!!! The portions were generous, beautifully prepared and super tasty. Tip from me: the fake snails & veal liver with rösti. Price and performance extremely fair!

It used to be a lot better and more likeable under the previous tenant. A pity. However, Ueli beer is still one of the best beers that can be brewed and drunk in Basel and the surrounding area!

We had a very nice evening in the Fischerstube with our baby and felt very comfortable. The service was courteous, attentive and quick and the food was excellent. The whole thing was rounded off with a delicious beer and Basel treat cream for dessert. We would be happy to come back and highly recommend it to others.

Meals are average, but the beer is phenomenal. The staff are kind, and the ambient very good. One has also a very good view of the brewery operations on site.

Very nice location, historic restaurant. Food is good although not spectacular. Price is really high, even for Swiss standard, too high for the place and food quality. Unfortunately they brought a basket of bread with a cockroach inside, that started running on the table. We quickly killed it and let them know, showing them. They brought the bread away and changed it, pretending nothing happened. No "sorry" or any sort of apology, on the moment or later. I don't think we will come back unfortunately.

Started with the Buffalo mozzarella. Definitely a winner! For meals, we had a pretzel burger and the prime rib. Both were outstanding! Wait staff were all friendly and attentive. Added bonus of a marching band playing down the street and then showing up in front of this place. Away from the "touristy" areas. Highly recommend!

Went to dinner at Fischersube with a friend on Tuesday. Top food⭐️⭐️⭐️Top service⭐️⭐️⭐️ . You can find something in every restaurant that isn't perfect, but giving a 1 star review is absolutely incomprehensible and disrespectful to me.

We had a wonderful meal and the service was very nice, competent and friendly. From the outside you would never think that there is currently a construction site and that there is a beautiful garden terrace behind the building. Would go again immediately and can only recommend the Fischerstube.

It's a shame that the potential of this Basel gem is not fully exploited. The staff is stressed, so no time for friendliness. Reservations are probably seen more as a suggestion than an actual date that people make time for and plan their day accordingly. You stand there dumbfounded and hear that there is no more room. (Luckily we made reservations early.) Eventually we got a seat and waited over 15 minutes for drinks... Thanks.. but no thanks.

Staff very friendly, the garden is great, you can sit under this old tree even in summer and enjoy the delicious food.

Unbelievable, never experienced anything like this!!! Reserved a table for 9 people over 2 weeks ago. On a hot day you give us a table that we have to squeeze into, in the last and most unattractive corner of the entire garden where there is no breeze. Meanwhile, there is a free table in the garden where 9 people could sit relaxed but was only set for 7. Despite repeated requests, they didn't want to give us this table, supposedly they had reserved exactly this one table. One table among many, no special features - that's definitely not the truth, people here probably just knew those who wanted to eat there. In the end we were rudely rejected and we were immediately put on the black list because we were not prepared to squeeze into the hot and stuffy corner. "The sentence was: if you don't sit down there, I'll put you on the blacklist and the whole company will never have to come here again." This is extremely unprofessional. The table was ordered early enough, the temperatures were predictable and this is not how you feed your guests. You look for solutions and are hospitable, the customer is always king! There would have been enough tables that could have been reserved for us, but no, you probably just have to have vitamin B and know each other. 0 flexibility, 0 insight that 7 people have to squeeze in less instead of 9. The waiter simply didn't want to - that's it. Any logic is out of place. I am personally ashamed of having recommended this shop to my company, I will no longer dine there personally and I will advise everyone I know against it. We are also aware that employees of your restaurant have left 1-star reviews on our homepage. This is pathetic since they are the ones who played the role of service provider that evening. That evening another very good restaurant welcomed us as guests.

A week in Basel and this was my best dining experience. Friendly staff, lovely outdoor dining, great beer, beautifully plated meals, extremely delicious sauces and homemade spatzle offerings. A must do restaurant!

We made no reservations but we still could eat there. Making a reservation is recommended, though. Food was very nice, typical Swiss food accompanied by the beer from the brewery

Sensational location on a warm summer evening, the water sports enthusiasts file past the magnificent backdrop like a film... Prices are a bit too high for the portions, but you also pay for the location!

Beautiful restaurant in Kleinbasel with very, very attentive staff

Boss wasn't in the mood. Then not, everything is fine. Apparently you have to give one star in order to write a review. At this point I would like to make it very clear: credit goes to the waiters, who were friendly. It's practical that you don't have to be polite to run and run a restaurant.

Had a great late lunch in the back garden. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the beer flight. Two of us shared a pretzel, a feta melon salad, a sausage salad (delightfully goofy and delicious), and the sliced beef filet (yummmmm butter and herbs and streak)

My wife and I enjoyed it. I tried the beef liver and my wife had the sausage. Both dishes were very good. We also tasted the beers from the brewery which can be seen at the back of the restaurant. We found them very good. Es war sehr gut, danke schön 😊

Fantastic cordon bleu, lots of cheese and delicious breading. The restaurant was very busy, we were lucky to get a seat. The portion is big enough that the beer is also delicious. The service was friendly.

Starter: Cream of asparagus soup was cold and had lumps in it. Indicates finished product. Portion of the soup is much too small for 13 francs. Main course: 27 francs, portion much too small. Smoked sausage was great. Sauerkraut was cold. Napkin dumplings are a disgrace. That was fried burnt bread! A dumpling has to be made in salt water! As an Austrian, I can only shake my head! This is not top-notch gastronomy! We were very disappointed! Front and rear doors open. It was a great move! Beer was very good Service was also very good!

Hidden gem on a side street just off the Rhine. Old Swiss tavern style without being too overdone. Modern bar with plenty of schnapps, good wine, and tasty draft beer. Had several of their beers, including a seasonal stout that was surprisingly really good. Food was phenomenal, especially the seasonal asparagus cream soup. Stellar experience.

The menu is priced at the higher end, but good. But people go to the Fischerstube primarily because of the excellent Ueli beer, which is produced in the company's own brewery.

A Basel restaurant like it is in the book. Not only is Ueli beer brewed here, but excellent yet down-to-earth dishes are also served. Combined with the cozy babble of voices and the funny service, you simply feel at home. 😊

We ate in the Fischerstube this afternoon! I worked here many years ago and I was very happy to be a guest here again. The service was very friendly and personable, the food and beer were excellent as ever!

It's wild-season at the moment (hunting season). We had pumpkin soup and seasonal salad as starters, venison loin as our main course (soooooo goood) and shared the grape-beermisu dessert. Everything was perfect! Friendly staff, smoke-free environment (you can smoke outside of course!) and clean.. The restaurant makes it's own beer (Ueli Beer). Highly recommended and definitely want to come back here again.

The restaurant makes a homely impression. The patio could use a pressure washer, but it added a nice atmosphere. The food was excellent, even if the prices are rather urban. My cordon bleu was filled with cheese and the fries looked homemade - very good! The young, nice waitress dropped a few fries and apologized properly. Given the prices, I would have liked a few extra fries, but I didn't want to make the embarrassing moment even worse. Friends ate the knuckle and everyone was convinced. We'd love to come back.

The food and beer were okay, and the service was so-so... The food was reasonably priced... I think safety management is needed. There were a lot of flower pots on the railing of the stairs, and while I was eating, someone passing by dropped the flower pots and hurt my foot. If I had hit my head, I would have died. They didn't even ask me if I was hurt and just cleaned it up. 😇

A wonderful place to meet in Basel. The atmosphere, beer, & local people are great. The food is good with dining inside, or in the garden & terrace outside. The location is in a quiet, but central, street. The staff are aloof, but very efficient, & quite friendly. The food price is typical for Switzerland.

We had dinner in the garden behind the restaurant. The meat of the cutlets was very good, tender and tasty, the Vegi-Bretzel-Burger on the other hand did not meet my taste. Prices? Hey we're in Switzerland! Dinner too expensive for what we ate.

If you want to eat here and appreciate a changing menu with local dishes, this is the right place for you. Here you will be looked after by attentive service specialists who are familiar with the wishes of their guests. Here you will be looked after professionally with as little waiting time as possible. If you like, you can try the appropriate wine from the region here. The price/performance ratio is very good here. I have been a guest here many times and have never been disappointed. Have fun eating and dining.

We went on a fountain tour and had our 8th stop at the Fischerstube and our thirst for Aperol was immediately recognized and we were even given a table in the fountain! Very cool and attentive service!!! Would absolutely recommend! ;)

Cozy restaurant with fine beers and a beautiful garden area, which we took advantage of after a recommended reservation. The menu is manageable and offers some delicacies in the slightly higher price segment.

This is a great restaurant in Basel Weiss Beer is one of the world's best beers. The taste of each and every dish made with great care. Friendly staff.

We went there on Easter night and we were very pleased with the food. The waiter was very nice and polite, taking care of our needs especially with 2 little ones and let us order for the kids first. Good beer, very good Swiss/German food especially if you are a meat lover.

Good welcome, smiling staff, speak French. Quality of the meal very good, in short we had a great evening.

Saturday, February 5th, 2022 I was with someone in the Ueli-Stube (Fischerstube) I was really positively surprised. Friendly and quick service, the casual (Brauerei Stube) atmosphere, it was clean and the food was really great. I was actually a little biased (20 years ago). But great, keep it up. Good food and good beer. The food stands out from other restaurants. Many dishes are rarely available. Beer is very good, especially the Reverenz. Also had the wheat. Good but not special. Price-wise it's totally okay for Basel. The Covid certificate was checked including ID.

Service, ambience, beers, food and overall our last night's visit was more than satisfactory as all the previous times. Staffs are super-friendly and welcoming as always. Being one of the oldest brewery of Switzerland, Fischertube-Basel never disappoints me.

A little overrated by the reviews, but it remains an excellent pub. Very informal, the tables are very close; poor ventilation system: kitchen fumes in the living room.

You have to see the Fischerstube. The food is simply amazing, the beer is the best in Switzerland, the service is very accommodating and very well placed. All in all 10 out of 10 points!!!!

Very friendly service. We were sitting in the garden and were surprised by a thunderstorm. The waitress brought us warm blankets. She herself was dripping wet but still in a good mood. The food was also great! I can only recommend this restaurant.

Very high prices Which were to be expected but also very slow service. The burgers were burnt On the outside and very raw inside. The burgers also tasted odd. Silverware was dirty on one place setting . pork shank was presented very nicely but was overcooked unfortunately. Wait staff was very nice.

Brilliant place for hungry people who are tired of weighing themselves down with cheap fast food. Here you are invited to enjoy the meat skewers and the beer that you can get here. The whole thing in abundance, I sing songs about it, I'd love to come back. So much for the food and the drink, but there's more to come, thank you! The service is nice and cheerful, that makes it commendable. Percent book accepted, which also saves money unabashedly. I really like the whole thing and would love to come back again.

Came early before kitchen opened at 6-had drinks while waiting. Beer is excellent and fairly cheap. Service was good--lots of locals here as noted. A beautiful night in Basel. The food was excellent. Apps: toasted pretzel with ham and cheese and meatballs very good but the Wiener schnitzel and pork knuckle outstanding.

Das Essen war wunderbar, die Weinauswahl sehr gut und der Service und die Ambiance freundlich, zuvorkommend und gemütlich. Mit einem grossen Engagement und viel Herzblut wird diese Lokal geführt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Excellente brasserie traditionnelle suisse! La carte est courte mais variée avec des plats traditionnels retravaillés, proposant un bon mélange de légumes, viandes et féculents. Des suggestions de saison sont aussi au menu. Cela met l'eau à la bouche dès le départ! Les serveurs sont sympatiques, de bon conseil, et le service s'est bien passé tout le long du repas. Le temps d'attente n'était ni particulièrement rapide ni long. La qualité des plats était excellente! Avec des produits frais et du fait maison, selon moi. Un détail pour ceux qui en raffolent comme moi: excellents bretzels! La bière locale m'a beaucoup plu aussi avec diverses variétés, s'accommodant en fonction du plat choisi. Les prix sont un peu élevés, mais sont justifiés pour la qualité des plats. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant et y retournerai si je reviens à Bâles!
