Fondue & Event Chalet Max in Wildhaus-Alt St. Johann

The location is very nice, but the staff is very incompetent and not professional. We ordered the classic fondue for 3 people and paid 90 for it. We ordered the hamburgers, the waiter brought them to the table and said in advance that they were medium rare and not cooked as requested. When we paid at the end and wanted to point out to the waitress that we had never eaten such expensive fondue, she unfortunately left without comment. It's a shame because the chalet has a lot of charm. But we won't come back.

It was a great evening all around. The service was great and very friendly and the food was also excellent. It was also very child-friendly and no one was bothered by the fact that it got a bit loud at times. We recommend. Thanks for the great evening.

We reserved a table for 4 people on January 19th, 2023. Unfortunately the heating was broken and it was around 16-17 degrees cold. We had to eat in our winter jackets. The boss just said: It's just winter!!! That's really a pity....

I am a catering professional and I think we did not have a good day, but the service was outdated and the price of a green salad 14.-- is really excessive, the fondue was good, but the really steep final bill. It's up to you to judge Happy New Year.

Great service, beautiful location, Filip is the best waiter. Humorous, quick and courteous. A great family celebration. Everyone was excited.

... always an experience. Chalet Max is an experience simply because of its unique ambience. In addition, the catering service and everything surrounding it is simply great. Definitely worth a visit. The events that are organized again and again are particularly recommended.

We had dinner here during our stay at the hotel, which was very excellent and definitely lived up to all expectations. The meals were very tasty, no unnecessary decorations. The focus is clearly on the food itself. The menu had a good selection. Will definitely return for another visit to Chalet Max.

Wonderful ambience, but a bit warm. The ragout was delicious, but not very lovingly prepared. The raclette was delicious, but there was only one type of cheese to choose from. The staff very friendly. The prices are like in the city of Zurich, a tad too high, which takes the joy out of the whole thing.
