Food Star in Zug

My recent experience at Food Star was an absolute nightmare. After eating there I was struck by the worst food poisoning of my life. I spent the next 24 hours in agony, alternating between violent vomiting and explosive diarrhea. It was like a scene from a horror movie. But what really makes the whole thing unbearable is the complete lack of care or compassion from the restaurant. They didn't even apologize or offer any compensation. No flowers, no apology, nothing. It's as if they don't care about the suffering their food has caused. Honestly, I wouldn't wish this experience on even my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor and avoid Food Star like the plague. Your stomach will thank you.

The food is excellent and can hardly be improved, even if it takes time. You can tell that the food is made with a lot of love and the service is very, very nice. I go with my friends two to three times a week and love the food. Every bite is a wonderful experience. I'm happy to be a regular customer there.

I always eat here. This is my favorite restaurant. The boss and waitress are very nice. There is also Mexican food. I think you should try it once.

The bread and the sauce were very good but unfortunately the meat was not (fishy in taste). With a Yaprak skewer, Food Star became a real star in Zug.

Meat is from Royalkotzdöner and, as always, cannot be enjoyed. But the service is otherwise quite okay.

Fine fast-food. Ordered some Mexican food but was missing salsa and a good guacamole. Maybe I should have ordered their kebabs instead? If you're looking for good Mexican food, you should go somewhere else, for example Juanitos which is nearby.

Hidden gem in downtown Zug. Simple no frills options but the food is great and the service is excellent too. Highly recommend.

I recently visited the Food Star restaurant in Zug and tried the Food Star plate - an absolute delight! The food was deliciously prepared and of first class quality. The owner of the restaurant is not only incredibly warm, but also extremely friendly, motivated and accommodating. You can really feel how important his customers are to him. I can fully recommend Food Star and will definitely come back!

Truly the best kebab in Zug by far. What sets it apart from other kebab shops is its freshly baked, crispy bread and delicious homemade sauces. The kebab is also extraordinarily large! The price is also absolutely right and the service is very friendly. Can only be recommended.

We met under somewhat crazy circumstances - in the end the boss even expanded his delivery area so that he could include us in his customer portfolio. But from the beginning: I have rarely met a restaurant manager who puts so much heart behind his work and also makes excellent food. We tried Mexican and what can I say? It was beyond delicious, from the quesadillas to the tacos to the sauces - outstanding and better than some who only specialize in Mexican food! The boss is a super nice guy, and so is the courier: what more could you want?! It's definitely not the last time we've ordered here and we wish you all the best for your start in Zug!
