Gäsi Beizli in Glarus Nord

That was our last stop at the Gäsi Beizli. Unfriendly, quickly overwhelmed and very expensive. The bratwurst was miserable. Nobody needs it.

We ate in the restaurant today, it was miserable 19 Fr for a chicken schnitzel with some iceberg lettuce, half a teaspoon of corn, three slices of cucumber and a teaspoon of carrots!!! The meat was not seasoned, miserable. We were very disappointed, but we remembered the Gäsi better from before. Staff super unfriendly, the camping site itself was always nice, but now you can see that nothing is being done anymore. It's a shame for such a beautiful place. Sad these tenants!!!

I think 7.00 francs for a mini portion of fries is totally excessive. I understand rent etc but this is a rip-off to a large extent

The food is vomit-inducing. Germs and other things cannot be ruled out. I pointed this out to the staff and was yelled at. It doesn't work at all! Bottom drawer! No more.

Unfriendly staff and the fries were too soft.

The food was disgusting, the chicken schnitzel was still raw. I wondered if a garden worker cooked because everything was so bad. Service overwhelmed and unfriendly. Too bad. Ambiance was ok.

Pikeperch crispy with salad was good, place Also nice, service unfortunately very unfriendly.

Wrong order. Eat cold. unfriendly staff. It's a shame for such a beautiful place.

Very good fries. Friendly staff, no comparison to the previous season. Keep it up, we'll be back.

The best fondue ever at this time of year too👍 Our choice was the chili fondue with fruit, simply brilliant. Thanks Fizzi, it was awesome. See you soon 😊

The groundskeeper is very nice but unfortunately comes last in the gäsi hierarchy

Unfortunately, the atmosphere is very loveless and paying around 6 francs for a tea bag of Lipton tea is completely over the top, and unfortunately the staff isn't very motivated either... But it certainly has the potential to turn it into a nice restaurant with a little more love and passion.. On the Location...

Great birthday surprise. Salad with very good sauce, a tartare and ostrich steak with hash brown fries and very good sauces. Many thanks to the guys from the Gäslibeizli

It looks like there is new staff in the pub. We were served by 2 nice young men. Friendly, organized and fulfilled our wishes. It would be nice if it stayed that way. Before that, the staff was moderately motivated, overwhelmed and not competent at all.

Mini portions...Plus bratwurst and piadina were still cold...

Very unpleasant service, the products you ordered are thrown at you on the counter.

Very unfriendly, loveless service, the only coffee available was coffee cream, everything else was already sold out. No greeting or farewell, spoons etc. are simply thrown over the counter.

Oh dear, the (presumable) change of host is for nothing :(. Wow, the delicious Gäsiburger was replaced by a below-average 0815 burger (CHf 18.50 including cold fries!!) Service undermotivated. In the first round only one of 2 burgers was delivered. A pity. very unfortunate.

We waited an hour for two bratwursts!

We had to wait 20 minutes for a portion of French fries without a side dish. Nice location. However, the staff in the pub is completely inefficient and overwhelmed. Loveless 0815 card without any extras. You could do a lot more with this restaurant with little effort.

The worst personal treatment I have had in my life! The world is a hostile place because of people like you!

Anthropological object of observation.

Eating is not a pleasure here and culinary is an absolute foreign concept. Had a Gäsi burger, which consisted of cold bread, roasted onions from the can, a lettuce leaf, a sprinkle of curry sauce probably from Thomy or something and one of those frozen meat-like slices with fries for 17.- If I hadn't been extremely hungry, I would have refused to eat. Warm food for my vegetarian partner was available: garlic bread, fries, Röstitaler or spring rolls. Definitely a nice place to lick an ice cream or drink a beer. Skip the food and instead grill a sausage, vegetables or bread at one of the many barbecue areas further up the campsite.

Sometimes you get very friendly service, other times not at all (boss).

The food was delicious. Not enough choice as a vegetarian.

Where can the soul regenerate ❤ in the Gäsi in the most beautiful jewel on Lake Walen....

I can only recommend the Gäsi Beizli. Relaxed atmosphere, good food and a fantastic place. The take-away offer is also very well regulated. Definitely worth a visit.

Time ago this was nice place to have a drink and have some fast easy food but now I find it not so hygenic and we're in the middle of the Covid Pandemie.
