Our first visit to this exceptional restaurant. Of course they are known for very good cuisine. However, what we were able to experience during our visit clearly exceeds what one imagines as very good cuisine. The location is beautifully situated, the garden invites you to linger and enjoy. We really liked the hospitality and active nature of the hosts. The performance of the kitchen was impeccable in all areas. The service is attentive and focused on the guest. It is truly a pleasure to be a guest here. Because the menu changes monthly, it's definitely worth visiting regularly. It's definitely not the last time we've visited and we're already looking forward to it! Thanks!

Today we had a wonderful lunch for two at the Gasthof zum Brunnen in Valendas. From start to finish we were culinary enchanted. The sensational menu thrilled us with its creative, regional and seasonal diversity - every dish was a true masterpiece. The kitchen team spares no effort to process the ingredients to the highest standard and create taste explosions. The staff made sure we immediately felt at home and provided us with friendly and competent advice. There is also a wine list full of excellent selections, which pampered our palate even more. Overall it was a great experience that impressed us with their quality and dedication. We can fully recommend the Gasthof zum Brunnen - a real treat for all the senses.

A wonderful little GREAT treasure between Ilanz and Chur. Mega attentive service, the food and wine are absolutely brilliant! The boss is relaxed, charming, so as not to be embarrassed by an answer and to have fun for everyone. The rooms are very comfortable and lovingly integrated into the old building structure. Simply wow... We came for a spontaneous aperitif, the restaurant was fully booked but we were allowed to go to the bar. At first I was a bit disappointed but then... We first ordered coffee or cola, then breadsticks and meat plates came from the kitchen, just lovely, and we also needed wine... Everyone at the bar, close to the service team, highly motivated, cheerful, took in all our comments and discussed them with us. We would love to come back and have a “real” stop and eat. You have to experience Gasthaus am Brunnen!

As a group of friends, we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday evening including an overnight stay with Matthias & team. The location in small Valendas is beautiful and the house and rooms have been beautifully renovated. The dining rooms are modern and comfortably furnished. All the dishes chosen were deliciously prepared and the exceptional dishes with the beautiful food presentation were a feast for the eyes. The little treats in between made us excited for more food at Am Brunnen. The team was in a good mood and the service was professional. With Matthias Althof you can feel and see the joy of cooking. The overnight stay and the good breakfast rounded off our stay. It was like a short vacation. We'll be back, that's for sure!

A truly wonderful place. Host Matthias and his wife are always in a good mood, and Matthias is always up for fun. The inn caters to ALL wishes and leaves nothing to be desired. The food was heavenly and the greetings from the kitchen in between were all great! The largest wooden fountain in Europe (15,000 liters of spring water) in front of the house magically attracts all kinds of athletes. This place is a MUST for connoisseurs.

The service can't quite keep up with the price level: butter knives were missing, the used cutlery was put back/not replaced, the wine was adulterated (2nd bottle simply emptied over wine from the first bottle) and the wine pouring should also be without a drop in this price league on the table. Wir haben ein wunderbares weekend im Gasthaus Brunnen verleben dürfen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön restauriert und modern eingerichtet, die Lage des Hotels mitten auf dem Dorfplatz ist sensationell. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich, felxibel und hilfsbereit, wir fühlten uns rundum wohl. Das Abendessen war ein absolutes highlight in top Qualität, es hat einfach alles gepasst ! Wir können das Haus sehr weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.
