The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic dinner or a celebratory meal with family and friends.

Interesting that my real review is constantly deleted after a bad experience here, but the obviously purchased reviews (5*) remain.

As we approached, the rustic exterior, decorated with traditional Swiss motifs, promised an authentic Alpine dining experience. The warm glow from within and the gentle hum of lively conversation invited us into a space that felt both elegant and homey.

In the heart of the snow-capped peaks of Davos, the restaurant stands as a beacon for those seeking a dining experience that harmonizes Swiss culinary heritage with contemporary flair. Known for its breathtaking views and commitment to locally sourced ingredients, my visit was aimed at discovering how they capture the spirit of the Swiss Alps on every plate.

Very tasty dinner in a wonderful atmosphere. The host was extremely accommodating and spontaneously made sure we got a table. Service from Rosalio was very courteous, humorous and friendly. We spent a cozy evening with delicious food.

Unfortunately service was poor...

Even the reception was strange, we stood in the aisle as ordered and not picked up. The service was slow, we waited a long time for the menu and wanted to leave the restaurant because we couldn't order. The service was non-existent or ignorant. After ordering, the food took ages to arrive. The bread and butter were cleared away before the starter was finished. The main course did not have the side dish listed on the menu. The atmosphere is relatively uncomfortable and, in my opinion, tasteless. Price-performance is not in proportion. It's a shame that people are misled by dubious reviews.

Unfriendly reception and service. Although decency doesn't seem to be one of your virtues (I didn't offer you the YOU and don't judge your IQ), I'm happy to give you a reason, since that's what you want. 1. I expect the waitress to speak German to some extent and to know certain rules of etiquette when you have to move from one side to the other. 2. I expect the boss to say “hello” when he enters the room and not just ignore the guests. 3. As a guest, I am not interested in your personal problems with your girlfriend or co-workers or your financial situation. So please think about where you have such conversations next time. The inn is probably not the right place,

The location in picturesque Switzerland is simply perfect. It is the ideal place to enjoy the beauty of the Swiss landscape while tasting exquisite dishes.

The commitment to sustainability and ecological awareness is commendable. From purchasing ingredients to designing the menu, everything reflects responsibility towards the environment and community. It's refreshing to see a restaurant that places great emphasis on these principles.

Price-performance rather unfavorable. Service and people very nice, restaurant with ambience.

The ISLEN impresses with its unique atmosphere. The stylish and cozy atmosphere makes every visit special. It is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing evening in good company. I was immediately impressed by the warm and inviting interior.

My visit to ISLEN was an unforgettable culinary experience. The dishes were not only a visual highlight, but also exceptional in terms of taste. The creativity and quality of the dishes exceeded my expectations. An absolute must for every gourmet!

Excellently cooked dishes in the ambience of a beautiful restaurant. Varied menu and wine list. The restaurant is located outside Davos and is also easily accessible by public transport. It's just a shame that the service employees aren't dressed uniformly and are therefore easily recognizable.

Price-performance is not right. Only superficially professional...

Warm welcome. Pure hospitality. Great lunch menu with inexpensive, simply delicious dishes. We felt completely comfortable. Attentive service team. It's a shame there are so many complainers. When we were eating between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. - with the terrace full - several people complained because they hadn't been offered a table for just one café, which should be a given for everyone. Incomprehensible. Restaurants are for eating - especially between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. In this respect, many thanks to Stefan and his team for their great effort!

“More appearance instead of being”, that fits here. The Gerant acts cool, but unfortunately doesn't have the qualifications to really pamper the guest. The food was overpriced; the quality at the level of a home-style restaurant. Far too long waiting times. With the exception of the beautiful and well-located terrace, we didn't feel comfortable here. A pity!

Waited 45 minutes after repeated requests to order, then waited again for 20 minutes despite repeated requests until drinks came. And it was the same for everyone. Eating after 90 minutes was great

The food was well prepared and tasted good. It was delivered quickly. The atmosphere is cozy and valuable. Unfortunately, it was very difficult to communicate with the waiters because they spoke almost no German and English didn't work either. The price for the food was significantly higher than (for the same dish) in other restaurants.

We reserved this restaurant spontaneously and after a big comparison and were absolutely satisfied and happy. Service was MEGA. Food was very tasty. Everything was at the table quickly (no long waiting times) and beautifully presented! A highlight of this holiday for us and will remain in our memory for another time! Thanks!

Unfortunately, not to recommend. Not enough staff to serve customers. Closing terrace and restaurant even if only half full. Cannot cope with customers…. Sad to see such a nice place being managed so badly

Food great! 5 Stars Only one person takes the order for food. 1x dinner registered gluten-free and ordered accordingly, the amuse bouche was not gluten-free - luckily we asked again... Shouldn't happen in a restaurant in this price range! The communication to the kitchen didn't work.

Stepping into “Islen Erlesener Genuss”, one is immediately captivated by the stylish ambiance and chic decor. However, I had overall a really bad experience. The food was barely okay and absolutely too pricey for the smalls plates they served. The service was messed up and not up to the level they want show off. Also, the service wasn’t paying attention at details, forgetting orders while we were waiting around 1h just to get some starters to start off the lunch. This is completely shame, because the place and menu were looking as first impression, BUT the staff and kitchen are too caotic and incompetent.

Bad, inattentive service, it takes a long time for the menu to arrive and for you to be able to order and brings bread when the expensive little soup has been eaten after asking 3 times. I think you're confusing us! They assigned us the table; we had different menus and no bread on the table and the terrace was not full!

Lovely staff, really great food and warm atmosphere. Had the venison and parpadelle with wild boar. Full-heartedly recommend.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I have never been to a restaurant that was perfect from A to Z in every respect! From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left everything was absolutely great. The food is amazing and the service is A1! We are speechless and will definitely come back for such a good fondue and capuns! The ambience is incredibly beautiful.

Very nicely renovated old house with enough parking spaces and an inviting terrace. Very friendly service and really special, fresh cuisine and wine list. Ah, and definitely try the freshly prepared cream slice as dessert 😊 addictive 😊

The restaurant used to be really great, but since the new owner took over it is no longer recognizable. (in the negative) There were 4 of us there for a cozy dinner. The highly advertised Davos spring water from our own source (which actually exists, I live nearby) came in a sealed bottle labeled Melser spring water. We ordered a liter without fizz and it came in a 7.5 dl bottle. When we commented on this to the loud and unfriendly service, she brought half a liter of sparkling water and poured it into the water without it. The tartar that my father ordered was mild and came out spicy, 50% of the meat shown in the photo couldn't be eaten because there was so much fat on it, it wasn't even cooked through and was still slimy. When the wine was recommended, 1 dl cost a whopping 27 francs. If you order a glass of water with your coffee on the terrace, you pay around 5 francs and 3 meters away there is a restaurant fountain on the street where glasses are provided. Passers-by can then drink water for free. All in all, the prices are a disgrace, the service is unfriendly and the food isn't particularly good either. Not recommended… Once and never again

Due to the family situation, we were there at 6 p.m. on a Saturday. Nice table, attentive service. Currently a smaller card, but it was sufficient in all respects. High-quality preparation of regional products. Please carry on and don't let yourself be disturbed even by a full house😉

We were there with two babies and a small child and they were very friendly, they gave us hot water for the bottle and they also warmed up the porridge we had brought with us in the kitchen 👍 Great!!!

Amazing steaks - nothing compares in Davos

Service ("cloakroom is upstairs, you can take care of your coats yourself), space at the table (7 people at a table of 4) and some food (salad floating in the sauce) are inadequate for this price range. It's a shame, with an old tenant, it was a very bad experience Good address. It's nowhere near the level it used to be.

This restaurants kitchen has gotten infinitely better, however it is very expensive still. The service is friendly.

Ambience and furnishings very homely and stylish! Unfortunately, it took a very long time for the order to be taken, 2.3 things came wrong or only after asking again or not at all (small portion). There are practically no wines under 100 euros and, in our opinion, the food is too expensive for the size and type that is served. We were a larger heterogeneous group > the payment was complicated. It's a shame, it won't become one of our deja vues in Davos.

Despite a reservation, we were left waiting 30' at the entrance. After we were assigned the table after repeated requests, there weren't enough chairs available. We then set up ourselves. Unfortunately we didn't receive a card and never had the chance to order. After 45’ we decided to leave. It's a shame that the beautifully located restaurant is so poorly managed.

Best wine selection and advice in Davos. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and has a great deal of specialist knowledge. The food is fantastic. The iced yogurt with olive oil and pepper is an absolute must for dessert.

Ordered the soup of the day as a starter. What a treat, by far the best cream of mushroom soup I have ever tasted. The entrecote Cafe de Paris with homemade sauce and beautifully presented, as well as the capuns also tasted very good. Thank you for friendly service. 1 month later: Returned by bike today. I was in the mood for something light and tried the fine smoked Atlantic salmon from Lostallo GR (100% Swissmade) garnished with salad. Taste and consistency perfect, beautifully served with onions, chives, dill sauce and a wonderful roll (probably spelled). I'll definitely come back 😀

Very fine food, cozy atmosphere and good service. We were here for the first time on July 31, 2022. Since we really liked it, we came back straight away on August 1st, 2022.

It's a shame that after 60 years of Islen we can no longer go there. Anyone who looks at the advertising box near the Landwasser Bridge will know.

Mediocre service, mediocre food. We went there for lunch and ask what dishes were gluten free. The waiter was annoyed with our question, said “soup and meat” and told us to hurry up to decide. Unbelievably rude. They then mixed up our order and drinks, the fries were so salty they were barely eatable. Only good thing about this place? Its location. Avoid.

If you are in Davos, you should definitely eat at Islen. No matter whether it's afternoon or evening, the food is simply delicious, the wine list is the best in Davos and the staff is incredibly hospitable. For us there is no nicer place and better food than in the Islen Davos. So see you soon 👋

Well, things have changed compared to before. Unfortunately, everything always changes. (used to be much better)

For the first time with the new hosts. Apparently there are 2 tickets at lunchtime! Terrace and living room for pressante... In the rest, there is an upscale menu for those who want to relax, but it is more suitable as an evening menu. Brasato with polenta (bramata) was very good: 43.-......! Meat dumplings (3 pieces) with a stick (very little!) with chives were also ok: 39.-.....!! At the neighboring table there was tartar with complaint. You are called by the boss (?), the waitress mainly spoke Italian...

Wow, I have never tasted such a sensational barley soup. Just wow :-)

The restaurant is beautifully designed. You need time if you want to eat. The service was inattentive and not good. A no go at prices like this.
