Cordon Bleu ok, has fries, decoration non-existent. Don't like a lemon wedge, parsley or some vegetables. Uncomfortable wooden chairs. We don't do this to ourselves anymore.

We were there for a business lunch. The restaurant overlooks a beautiful bend in the Rhine and the Black Forest region in Germany. While the daily menu didn't have any vegetarian options printed, the waitress told me about many choices I could make. Finally, the food was delicious, served efficiently and we had a wonderful time.

Maybe we had a bad day, but instead of country cuts, fries were served as a side dish that also smelled of not-so-fresh oil. The service staff made an effort but did not inform them that the Cola Zero was from a different manufacturer than the original. The meat was very good. The card is manageable and the price is a little higher than expected.

We always enjoy coming back. The highlight for me is and remains the Fondue Chinoise.

Great restaurant! The food is very fresh and super delicious! I was invited to a birthday party in winter and we had Fondue Chinoise à Discrétion. It was great! The ostrich meat in particular was so incredibly tender. This year in February I went there for Flambi skewers with my boyfriend on his birthday. We took the Anker Special with sirloin of beef and chose whiskey. It was fantastic and made a really delicious whiskey sauce after flambéing. Unfortunately, out of sheer excitement, I forgot to take a photo of it. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. A great restaurant for every occasion! We would like to come again :-) Now the photos have finally worked. I've never had such good veal cordon bleu. Nice and crispy on the outside, the cheese is nice and creamy and goes well with the juicy meat. The zander crisps were also super delicious with the beautiful, super tasty summer salad. Dough nice and thin. Everything in the Anker Restaurant is highly recommended, no matter what you order, it is always super fresh and simply fantastic!

It's ok, had the skewers, wasn't that plump and tasty at all, the staff was good and attentive, the restaurant isn't that nice either, it's more reminiscent of a waiting room. Paid around 250 for 3 people.

Food was given incorrectly (veal schnitzel natural instead of veal cordon bleu). Long waiting time. The service specialist offered coffee as an apology. But this is still charged. We had better memories of the restaurant.

Absolutely great... Once upon a time... Two weeks ago I reserved a table for today, Good Friday, at 7 p.m. Before that, I had to pick up my guests from Basel Airport. At 4 p.m. the owner calls me and tells me that he will be closing at 7:30 p.m. today. Finding a table in a restaurant at 4 p.m. for 7 p.m. on Good Friday is almost impossible. I'm pissed off about this mess. I will never go to the Anker with my guests again

Good food in a nice atmosphere! We were there with two children. There is also a children's menu with reasonable portions. In addition, on Sunday evening there were 4 menus in addition to the normal menu. We didn't have to wait long for the different courses, even though there were only two waitresses for the busy restaurant. They were constantly in use. The atmosphere in the hall was nicely mixed, but there is also a dining room that is a little simpler. The prices are in the upper, middle range. There is enough free parking behind the restaurant. The Covid certificate has been checked and the individual tables are far enough apart or separated by panes styled as windows.

We visited this restaurant on April 26, 2019. As before, we are very satisfied. The quality is really very good. We have rarely eaten such good fries. The frying oil is always new, you can taste it. When we asked for a vegetarian menu, several menu suggestions were made to us at the table. We were able to suggest something ourselves and it was implemented exactly that way. The Schnäggepfänli is a hit either way, as are the dough cakes with mushroom cream sauce. The only drawback was the slightly stale bread. The staff is very nice and attentive, as is the host who greeted us at the table. The dessert menu is a bit too simple and only offers ice cream. This restaurant offers a few more menu items than advertised on the website.

Wir hatten Fondue Chinoise. Das Beilagen Buffet war super. Das Fleisch in Kombination mit den verschiedenen Saucen, perfekt. Zum Abschluss gab es ein üppiges Dessertbuffet. Da war für jeden etwas dabei. Das Beste zum Schluss: Das Personal!!! Wir hatten, so empfand ich es, eine Hauptverantwortliche sowie mehrere Servicemitarbeiterinnen bei unserer Gesellschaft. Die Wünsche wurden uns von den Augen abgelesen. Danke für diesen perfekten Abend!

Vielseitige & zum Teil nicht alltägliche Speisen überraschen, sehr lecker, frische Zubereitung, überaus freundliche & aufmerksame Bedienung, neu renoviert, einfach & doch geschmackvoll eingerichtet, genügend Parkplätze hinter dem Haus, Terrasse ist zwar zur Strasse ausgerichtet aber mit Glas gut abgetrennt, so dass man einen tollen Blick auf den Rhein geniessen kann, hundefreundlich

Tolles empfehlenswertes Restaurant, allerdings muss man Zeit mitbringen

Es war eine reine Katastrophe da und können dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen Es fing schon damit an, dass unser reservierter Tisch nicht parat war und hier fing das warten schon an. Als wir an unserem Tisch waren, mussten wir wieder ca. 20 Minuten warten, bis wir überhaupt bestellen konnten. Nach über einer halben Stunde kamen endlich mal die Vorspeisen (wir hatten nur einfache Salate bestellt!).Eine weitere Stunde später war der Hauptgang immer noch nicht gekommen. Die Bedienung vertröstete uns immer wieder: «es käme bald es sei am parat machen». Als sie wieder mal vorbeikam und fragte «ob alles ok sei», verlangten wir die Rechnung. Als Entschuldigung für die Unannehmlichkeiten musste wir nichts für Getränke und Salate bezahlen. Wir hatten die Nase gestrichen voll und gingen in ein anderes Restaurant essen. Es kann nicht sein, dass ein Restaurant im Innen- und Aussenbereich zu viele Gäste annimmt und die Küche dies nicht bewältigen kann.

Katastrophe !!! Nicht nur , dass wir 50 min auf unsere Bestellung gewartet haben , sondern auch der Zustand des Essens !!! Die chicken Nuggets für unseren 3 jährigen Sohn waren Stein hart . Schnitzel verbrannt und furz trocken . Außerdem waren die Bedienungen extrem überfordert. Man konnte die Bestellung gar nicht richtig machen , weil Sie sich während dessen schon umdrehte und den Tisch verließ. Man musste hinterher rufen !!!

Das Essen im Hotel Anker ist Spitze. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und der Wirt fragt immer persönlich nach ob die Gäste zufrieden waren. ich kann dieses Restaurant bestens empfehlen.

Leider äusserst inkompetentes Servicepersonal. Meine Bestellung des Blauburgunders wurde zurückgewiesen, da dieser nicht im Angebot sei. Als Alternative wurde mir ein Primitivo angeboten. Ich wusste jedoch, dass das Restaurant sehr wohl Blauburgunder im Sortiment führt. Nach einem Blick in die Karte eröffnete mir die Bedienung eine weitere Alternative zum Blauburgunder und bot mir einen Pinot noir an. Autsch!Auch war das Entrecôte sehr durchzogen, um nicht zu sagen fettig. Meine Beanstandung wurde mit keinerlei Entschuldigung gewürdigt. Sehr schade. Das war mal ein gutes Restaurant. Was ist passiert?

Das beste Chinoise was man im Fricktal und Umgebung bekommen kann. Das liebevoll gestaltete Buffet wird immer nachgefüllt und es fehlt an nichts. Das Fleisch ist geschmaklich einwandfrei und in einer perfekten grösse geschnitten. Das Poulet wird wie es sich gehört, auf einer separaten Platte greicht und die Auswahl an Gemüse und Früchten toppt das ganze zusätzlich. In die Saucen könnte man sich allesamt hineinlegen!!!

tolle Fleischgerichte mit sehr guter qualität. schnägge pfännli immer zu empfehlen . sie haben auch thaigerichte auf der karte . wobei ich die nicht weiter empfehlen kann da es nix mit thaiküche zutun hat .

Nach dem Weihnachtmarkt in Laufenburg suchten wir ein Speiserestaurant. Durch einen Bekannten empgohlen haben wir sehr gut gegessen. Empfehlenswert ist im Herbst die Kürbissuppe. Als Hauptgang Falsche Schnecken in einem sehr schönen Kräuterschaum, ein Hähnchen im Korb welches ein wenig mehr Gewürz verträgt und eine Spätzlipfanne. Alles in allem sehr gut.

Es ist ein sehr tolles und gutes Restaurant. Sie haben diverse Flambispiesse und Preis/Leistung stimmt absolut. Sehr schönes Ambiente und freundliches Personal. Das Fleisch war perfekt und die Portion mehr als austeichend. Das einzige was schade war, dass es nur Eis als dessert gab. Etwas anderes zur Auswahl wäre noch toll. Aber es ist ein Besuch wert.

Auf der Sonntagsfahrt Richtung Baden sind wir zufällig an diesem Restaurant vorbeigekommen. Sehr erfreulich waren die vielen Parkplätze hinter dem Restaurant. Die Lokalität ist sauber, das Personal freundlich. Es wurde zügig serviert. Die Portionen sind auch für grossen Hunger geeignet. Das Fleisch war von sehr guter Qualität. Der Salat war frisch zubereitet. Die Terasse liegt leider direkt an der Strasse. Aber der Blick auf den Rhein entschädigt für den Autoverkehr.

Es ist das Essen wie man es in einem Landgasthof erwartet, gut bürgerlich und die Preise einigermassen im Rahmen. Wir haben Rehpfeffer gegessen, er war sehr gut und schön angerichtet

Nous y sommes allés en famille. J'ai pris la chasse et ma femme un rhum steak le tout accompagné d'un excellent rouge vaudois. Rien à redire c'était très bon et le service sympathique et efficace.

Einfaches, zweckmässiges Lokal; freundliche und speditive Bedienung, abwechslungsreiche Menuauswahl und moderate Preise.

Alles in allem ist der Anker eine super Gelegenheit, mal zwischendurch eine preiswerte und absolut leckere Mahlzeit zu geniessen. Ich hatte eines der Mittagsmenus und war sehr zufrieden was das Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis angeht. Zu empfehlen: Der Flambi-Spiess !

 Das Restaurant befindet sich gut zugänglich an der Hauptstrasse in Mumpf Richtung Stein in Rheinnähe. Parkplätze sind hinter dem Haus genug vorhanden. Ganz spontan haben wir hier bei schönem Wetter auf der Terrasse zu Mittag gegessen.Ambiente:
 Das Restaurant selber sieht auf den ersten Blick gut aus. Dass die Strasse direkt vor der Terrasse liegt, muss man halt in Kauf nehmen. Die Renovierungsarbeiten sind entweder nach und nach gemacht worden oder sie sind noch nicht fertig. Fensterrahmen aus Holz zum Teil in Weiss, zum Teil in Braun und dann wieder aus Kunststoff. Stromkabel werden einfach gleich mit gestrichen, statt zu entfernen oder abzudecken. Das Mobiliar bunt zusammengestellt, 90% Metall, 10% Plastik. Ausgebleichter Kunststoff sieht an der Sonne nicht Schick aus...In der Toilette sollte durch den pastelligen Anstrich in Blau wohl das Wasser symbolisiert werden. Ein Blick auf die Beleuchtung über den Spiegeln beim Händewaschen treibt mir ein Lächeln über die Lippen. Eine Lampenabdeckung fehlt, dafür funktioniert die Lampe. Bei der anderen ist zwar Abdeckung dran aber die Lampe funktioniert dafür nicht.Essen:
 Die Karte hat interessante Gerichte. Schöne Auswahl auch für Vegetarier. Leider zu warm, ansonsten hätte ich gerne das Fleisch auf dem heissen Stein probiert. Die Bestellung wurde aufgenommen und nach weniger, wie 20 Minuten kam die Bestellung auch warm und fast korrekt am Tisch an. Der Salatteller mit Ei aber ohne Melone wurde bestellt aber mit Melone serviert. Eigentlich wäre ein Brotkörbchen Pflicht aber nichts. Scheinbar ist der Salatkoch noch in den 80ern stehen geblieben. Etwa 4 Monster Salatblätter (die Zeiten sind vorbei) um den Teller zu füllen, ein paar kleinere Salatvariationen und zwei Melonenschnitze. Positiv zu erwähnen; verschiedene Salatsaucen, die gut waren. Auch wenn kein Garpunkt bei der Bestellung abgefragt wurde, kam es medium(also doch rosa). Es war zart und mit schönem Röstaroma. Die Grilltomate etwas zu wässrig, die Pommes dafür wieder gut. Schöne Geste, dass noch Pfeffersauce in einem Schälchen separat gereicht wurde allerdings war es vermutlich eine Convenience Sauce – so vermute ich. Leicht Essiglastig mit einer künstlichen Süsse und nicht wirklich rassig. Was allerdings an der Sauce deftig hätte sein sollen – keine Ahnung. Der Hauswein trinkt sich toll.Bestellung: 1x Salatteller mit Ei, 1x Rosagebratenes Angus Beef mit Pommes Frites und gegrillter Tomate an deftiger Pfeffersauce, 1x Mineral 3dl, 1x Mineral 2dl, 1x Hauswein 2dl, 1x Espresso – Total: CHF 75.00.Service:
 Das Servicepersonal war nicht wirklich sehr aufmerksam und fast überrascht, dass Gäste kommen und somit Arbeit. Wir bekamen das Gefühl nicht los, dass die Motivation fehlte (mag es am warmen Wetter liegen). Erst nachdem die Rechnung beglichen war kam ein nettes Lächeln.Preis-Leistung:
 Gut.

Fazit:
 Eine gute Küche ohne grosse Erwartungen. Das Servicepersonal müsste vielleicht nochmals geschult werden(Gast ist König). Gastronomie ist ein DIENST-Leistungs Geschäft. Kann man auf der Durchfahrt besuchen, muss man aber nicht unbedingt.
