Gemmi Lodge 2350 in Leukerbad

Self service restaurant with nice selection of food at reasonable prices. Very clean and friendly staff. With a very large selection of Valais wines. Toilet facilities clean and well maintained. Terrace views are sensational when the weather is nice.

Just wow, the weather conditions were much better a day before, we asked to move the room on 27.12, and we were able to do it without problem, it was really nice. During the day, bearded vultures galore, eagles, pure joy for me as a fan of animal photography. After a cold and windy day, the SPA was just too good to relax while admiring the sunset over the mountains... In the evening, the meal was simple but really good, digestion walk at 2350m altitude in the snow at 10 p.m., frankly, paradise I recommend to everyone!! We just spent our New Year's Eve at this mountain lodge and we LOVED it! Their staff is so kind and helpful. The owner (manager?) is the nicest guy, always smiling and answering all our questions. True hospitality excellence! The food is amazing - really bravo to their chef! The atmosphere of the place is amazing - you are on a cliff, cut off from the village at 5pm when the cable car stops :)... the views from the restaurant are some of the best mountain views you can get... we stayed 2 nights but we wish we could stay a week great place for x-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledging, ski-touring...

I stayed here and we were welcomed and served well by the staff in both the rooms and the restaurant. Our room had a very beautiful view. The room was just the right size for the two of us. The restaurant's service staff and people take care of every customer equally well. Accommodation prices include breakfast and dinner. The nature around this accommodation is very good, especially in the morning having breakfast and watching the sunrise, it is very beautiful. You can go hiking every day for exercise. There are wild animals that can be seen in the morning, such as chamois. There are many delicious dishes to choose from. The prices are reasonable. Overall, this place is very good. I recommend it. Sensational location with a fantastic view. Spectacular restaurant. Unfortunately very loud, a group of students were guests here. Simple rooms, toilet and shower on the stairwell. Dinner ok, breakfast buffet tip top. Price-performance ratio at the upper limit.

The day before yesterday I was in the restaurant at lunchtime and the staff was extremely unfriendly... especially the cashier and the boss, who took their bad mood out on the visitors... not just my opinion... other guests also noticed this... -the food corresponds to one enough and is totally overpriced. Service doesn't speak German and doesn't understand anything. Service just bad. The only thing that was positive was the panoramic windows. Never again. The rating refers to the catering area.

Amazing views from room and restaurant. Food was fantastic and very generous. The bathrooms were very clean and everything was very well maintained. Breakfast was a good variety. Very good value for money, especially because the gondola is free if you stay at lodge. Went with a young family and we enjoyed the easy hiking to the lake, had a day of fun skipping rocks and playing in the water.

Stayed for 2 nights. Modern restaurant and lounge with great views. Food is served every evening at 18:45 and breakfast 7 - 9. Overall great service and location, would definitely stay again. The cable car runs every 30 minutes from 0800 - 1800 and is free for staying guests. Parking is 10€ per day.

The Gemmi Lodge 2350 is a real insider tip. Price-performance with overnight stay and half board is absolutely right. The food was very good and plenty, the rooms good (floor toilet and shower) and the service fantastic! We also visited the SPA. Small but nice, the view from the saunas is breathtaking, very nicely done and furnished. There are many beautiful hiking trails on the Gemmi and there are two via ferratas for climbing enthusiasts. We can only recommend this, even with an overnight stay (book early), the view of Leukerbad at night is great. We will be back!
