Ginza Teppanyaki Restaurant in Riehen

My personal favorite in Lörrach when the all-you-can-eat is available. I think the quality of the food is reasonable for the price. I especially like the grill area. However, I don't think you have to visit the restaurant. My partner thinks the sushi is great (I don't eat any)

Serve yourself at the buffet with a wheelchair. /. Punishment for not eating an empty plate? . /. The door was open until 3:00 p.m., but the buffet was only kept warm until 2:25 p.m., and the boss personally came to the table to collect money during the meal. Empty tables were not cleared away, but dirty cutlery was thrown into buckets with a loud clatter at 2:30 p.m. Suddenly three women were there (the boss was no longer there), shouting loudly to each other throughout the restaurant, clearing everything, including our table, even though we hadn't finished drinking yet. Never again. No recommendation

Were there in the evening around 8 p.m., everything was confusing. The service didn't explain anything to us about how it works here. The food was cold and some of it didn't look fresh. Things were rarely refilled. Children were screaming from the playroom and throwing objects into the dining area. Plates were not cleared from our table. Once and never again.

Located in an industrial wasteland, terrible neon lights, poorly maintained eating streets, strange service staff but also very special guests..No ambience, everything seems very cheap..But the price was very high...Euro 117.00 for two adults and 2 children (12 years) who hardly ate anything. For us it was a first and unique experience... Service cannot be rated because self-service...

Very friendly, plenty of choice, very tasty food and plenty of it

Good choice of Chinese food and a bit of Japan with a small choice of sushi. The food there is both already prepared and cooked on the spot by a chef in Teppanyaki style (on a giant griddle). The all-inclusive formula is recommended, for approx. 33 euros per person, you can eat and drink as much as you like (drinks in bottles from 0.5 for beers up to 1.2 L for carbonated drinks). The environment is welcoming and clean. The car park is huge and shares the car park of the nearby sports centre. I highly recommend it.

We liked it, the quality of the food was very good and the place was clean and the workers were friendly.

It has really good food and very good quality of sushi (better than some other similar all-u-can-eat buffets.) They introduced all-u-can-drink so it's really nice. The sweets are a bit too dried out, or taste like the fridge they stood at but the food, sushi, noodles are amazing. The decor is pretty, I think it's ok for get-alongs. It ain't too oriental-looking. It's fine when it comes to price and toilets are always clean.

Everything perfect, very good all you can eat restaurant and very kind owner who even gave us 2 bottles of Chinese wine.

We love going to Ginza but since my last visit with my family I have been very disappointed. You used to have fun choosing individual dishes and ending with a juicy sauce, whether spicy, hot, very hot or sweet and sour, but now it doesn't taste good, you can't even feel the hot sauce. I had to add soy extra so that I could I feel something, I'm very disappointed. The prices are extremely high, I feel like I'm in an all-inclusive holiday hotel. I passed this on to the boss but he didn't understand me.

The food was good, but the waiter was very unfriendly. On the way home we just wanted to grab something quick to eat. We wanted to order without drinks as we were in a hurry. It was said that a surcharge of 10% would be charged if you wanted to consume without drinks. Afterwards we ordered a bottle of water. When paying, the waiter quickly read out the order and showed the total. However, I couldn't read the Chinese writing and asked him to show him the list again. The waiter guessed wrong and charged more than we actually spent.

Delicious and extensive range of food. Very friendly staff and service, can only recommend.

This fine Chinese restaurant is not far from the center and easily accessible by car. There are enough parking spaces available. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff friendly. The selection in the buffet is large and the food is fine. “All inclusive” with drinks is worthwhile for families and groups. Very great idea! A stop here is recommended for anyone traveling through or shopping in Lörrach. Have fun.

Ginza used to be a very good family restaurant, but unfortunately the quality and cleanliness has declined in recent years. Buffet all you can eat is good but could be better, empty plates are often not refilled for a long time. The prices are becoming increasingly expensive. The self-service icebox is a hygienic disaster, the water for washing the ice cream tongs is not changed or is changed too rarely. Toilets poorly cleaned and partly broken.

Good restaurant. There are many desserts for children. I recommend it to anyone.

There has been a new owner and a new team since August 2023. A new facility was installed inside. Now you can eat and drink as much as you like for 32 euros. Delicious food, unfortunately not always warm

Unfortunately it is overpriced, the food got cold quickly. The meat buffet was only moderately refilled. €32.90 is not justified. Unfortunately the atmosphere is like a canteen, too crowded, too loud. The staff is not friendly. Never again .

Went to Ginza last week, was crowded, noisy, stinking, the Asian waitress are rude. The space is very cramped, full of tables hardly no space between tables. Sushi and sahimi was always empty and not replenished. You are not explained on the menu, and once you order a drink they tell you to pick up the drink from the fridge, which automatically qualifies you to the all you can eat and drink menu, even if you only want a 1 drink. At the end if we wanted to drink a small drink were told was not available… not recommending this experience and place.

The restaurant was well attended. Lots of children and a lot of screaming and shouting because the parents didn't think it was necessary to pay attention to their children and the staff didn't care about the noise level. The restaurant was simply dingy and dirty (the toilet too, by the way) The food was varied, but served in canteen style in tin tubs. Tables, floors and chairs were dirty and sticky. The staff was completely disinterested and didn't even ask if we wanted to drink again and pay for it, we had to ask x times and in the end we got up and paid at the buffet. Be careful with the buffet including unlimited drinks. ..that's only partially true, because there are only soft drinks, wine and beer....cocktails or similar are only available separately... I won't go there anymore. Definitely not a recommendation!!!!

It's not your typical Chinese restaurant. Everything is prepared in detail and with style. Maybe give a little more choice when it comes to cakes and ice cream...otherwise good

They should first sit in the small side room with black spots on one side of the wall. Of course I refused this straight away. Since the assigned table was covered in crumbs and streaks of grease, we first had to clean it with wet cloths. I would have preferred to leave straight away. The carvery was only moderately replenished. Had to ask for lamb twice. (wasn't the only one). After 1 hour it was put down. Other food was so ollala. When it came to the fruit, I had the feeling it was from a can. So all in all quite satisfactory. €32.90 is not justified.

The food is okay, you have to look at it in perspective. What do I pay and what do I get. It is clear that if the price is not too high and I can eat and drink as much as I want, the expectations should not be too high. Can't expect to get a beef fillet and the most expensive red wine, like some reviews say. Service was very friendly. Plates were quickly cleared away. Cleanliness was okay. Fresh counter were not closed by customers. The strength was there to open it, but the guests had no strength to close it. Since I cooked it fresh, the sauces didn't taste that good to me. What I was missing is a list of where the seafood comes from. Overall you can go there. It's okay for little money.

Tastes great. We like to come, but since the boss herself collected the money, we have had one more person on the bill for the second time today and when we speak to her, she becomes really unfriendly. Unfortunately we only noticed it at home today, but next time she will still be asked about it.

Had a Christmas dinner among colleagues. So...the food and the very good selection were really without any wishes! "Real". The service was really lacking when the seats were full, which was a shame for the staff. The ambience cannot be categorized for this size, but the normal man among the crowd knew how to behave. Apart from that good.

Yes, the buffet is fine. There are fine things but also things that I really like. But that’s how it is 😅 I digress, entrance large, cashier people and service nice. A little more knowledge of German would be better, so speak German more slowly. Tenpo 4 out of 5 is announced. Lamps very nice and toilets also swhr nice

The food at the buffet was always cold, only what was prepared was really good. Worst service I have ever experienced. Even the espresso was cold. It doesn't work at all. We won't be coming back.

The food has become so bad that I wouldn't even let the animals eat it anymore. Everything was cold, dried out and had no taste. Hardly any choice left. That was definitely the last time we were there.

The food was delicious and flexible because fresh produce could be fried straight away (I'm not sure how often it's brushed after frying). 6 sauces to choose from, which always offers a delicious, individual meal. Dessert was FROZEN! Unfortunately it was inedible!

December 2019 - Good place to relax with family. There is no entertainment for children, but there are desserts and cocktails. We collect the food ourselves, the waiters take the dishes. And they bring the drinks themselves. Very very tasty food! !! We will definitely visit this restaurant again. For the first time in my life here I tried kangaroo, zebra and crocodile.☺🤗 But I have some wishes regarding the lighting in the room where the tables are for guests. It is better to remove the overhead light on the ceiling and make light (lamps, chandeliers, etc.) on the walls and, perhaps, also light on the tables. When the light is only at the top, the room is perceived as a cheap canteen. Different lighting will make the room more comfortable :) The waiters are friendly and diligent, even those who did not know the language were very nice😊 The prices are not expensive👍 A! And yet, you can take drinks with you from home/shop to this restaurant. This is a great and kind gesture from the restaurant.👍 Update October 2023 - the lighting has been changed, very romantic and pleasant 😍 Together with juices, alcohol, teas and for 4 it came out to 130 €. Very very very tasty 😍😍😍😍😍

Good buffet, well varied and good, however the service needs to be improved! The person who takes care of the cash register speaks very poor German, does not listen to what we answer and has forgotten his smile and the friendliness at home.. The tables are not cleared even after the end of the meal when there is no more stress. We would have drunk more if we hadn't had to call the waiters every time. Too bad because we have already been here several times.

Ginza changed that dramatically on October 4th. the opening times are: "open every day...👍🏽" on Tuesday October 10th. we stood in front of closed doors. Very annoying!

The restaurant is very large, which means you can eat in peace in the evening without too much noise around you. The selection at the buffet is varied and extensive and it has various options for hot or cold dishes as well as sushi and desserts. The quality and taste of the food is not outstanding, but it is definitely enough to combat hunger. The price is absolutely reasonable and I would happily come back.

Horror, the seafood from the grill is not cooked, you can't eat it. We came from CH, traveled 100 km and in the end left hungry. The landlady eats food at the bar and spits. HORROR!!! Never again. Still, Rosengarten (Rheinfelden) is the best! !!

We stayed overnight at the RV park nearby and decided to have a buffet meal 🥣. It was very tasty 😋 and everything you could imagine was there. Unfortunately, you get full quicker than you would like because you haven't tried everything yet. Service very nice and accommodating.

We wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant and went to Ginza. We were quickly disappointed, the food wasn't good and there wasn't much choice. When we wanted to pay with the Master card we were summoned to the front, she took my card, put the card in, payment was successful, then the owner put the card in my hand and turned around.. no thanks.. or was everything good? or have a nice evening, nothing.. very, very unfriendly, we will never go there again.. and I also had diarrhea.

Feel free to come with the family. There is something for everybody. Unfortunately, the furnishings are pretty worn out, as is the buffet itself.

After the lunch buffet on February 26th. 2023 was expected to struggle with vomiting and diarrhea throughout the night. Sushi didn't look fresh but in my worst thoughts I couldn't imagine food poisoning. Maybe someone else was affected?

The Ginza in Wallbach is worlds better. We were very disappointed in Lörrach. Dirty, eat cold, salad selection very small and leaves brown. Pasta was soggy and totally overcooked and didn't taste like anything. We had stomach pains the evening after and nausea the next day. Unfortunately I won't be coming back...

Unfortunately very poor quality. Staff was unfriendly. The freezer had 5 cm of ice all around, only 3 types were open, the bottom containers were all still closed and were not opened even when requested. The Italian wine was sour. Overall, it's a shame. Will not visit this restaurant again.

I've been coming here with my family for years and enjoy what it has to offer. Last week on Monday there were 4 of us there in the evening around 8.45 p.m. unfortunately I/we had a bad experience there for the first time. 3 of us had to vomit after eating, 2 had diarrhea for several days and one of us couldn't eat anything for 2 days. Since I was otherwise always satisfied, I give it 3 stars

I love it, huge selection and really fine. -Kontra Cheff likes to make his own prices at the checkout, which unfortunately happened to us several times. He then laughs it off as soon as we noticed it....

We like to go there because you get fresh ingredients freshly fried with a sauce of your choice. While we wait, we eat some of the ready-made hot food. Unfortunately, on our last visit the ice cream wasn't refilled, there were only the 3 standard flavors and there was also sesame or mango. But that doesn't stop us from coming back.
