Globus in Genève

I love the buzzing atmosphere of Globus Restaurants when you see so many people there having their favorite meals or drinks. I visit the coffee station there to take a break and enjoy a cup of coffee or a mug of hot chocolate, especially in the cold weather. Looking through the window to see the movement of people in the area gives you a nice feeling. The experience itself is awesome.

Fast and good. Perfect for work lunch.

A few years ago it was a pleasure to eat here. For 3 years the dishes have been mediocre, bland, overcooked, mushy pasta, too greasy,... what a shame the quality is declining.

In an emblematic street in the heart of Geneva called Rue d'Rhône, it is characterized by having luxurious shops and places to enjoy typical and international Italian, Asian, Thai and French cuisine. Globus is a gourmet gastronomic market where you can eat at a buffet-style place, occupy a table, consume at a bar or take away food in a very spacious and stylish manner. I make special mention of the "tarte flan aux myrtilles traditionnelle", it is not the typical flan but requires baking, it is a classic French pastry recipe with a dough base, filled with fresh blueberries and with a slightly sweet flavor. What is striking is the visual impact of this cake and the mix between sweet and acidic characteristics.

We've been going there for a good ten years... I don't even know why anymore because the dishes are getting worse and worse and more expensive. Green and uncooked potatoes, sauces too salty and fatty, the ladies who serve are unpleasant, make fun while speaking Thai and laugh. Would I go back? It has to stop. Globus, do something!!!

So-called Thai or Asian dishes that have no taste. It's a shame to see all these Asians behind the buffet preparing such dishes. Incomprehensible! Thai red curry: no coconut taste. A few branches of spinach as vegetables..24 fr. My son had the chicken and vegetable day special; meh meh...no Asian taste. Paid 42 fr for nothing. Go your way.

Terrible service. Employees talk to each other instead of serving.

Visit the restaurant in the basement instead, you won't regret it.

Globus is interesting because there are a group of four to six restaurants in the same location. Authentic French crepe. Asian food. Sandwiches. Ice creams. Pastas. Pizza. Easy to find good alternatives. In the basement there is a supermarket. Very good for those looking for something in the center of Geneva. I recommend.

The pleasure of eating Asian there, every time I'm in Geneva and it's really very beautiful. Nothing to say.

Very good dishes (especially the Singapore chicken) but waitresses not very smiling (maybe they don't speak the language?) and they have difficulty serving; as if they had motor problems in their hands 😄 so a bit stingy on the portions. Perhaps to make the most of it, but at the price we pay for Thai, we deserve a well-served dish 😉

It's surreal how people use chairs to place their belongings 👿 it's lunch time. People occupy places to have a simple conversation with friends. People have to understand that besides the space being small, if they are not consuming it is not to take up seats for those who actually come for lunch, what would have been pleasant turned into an experience not to be repeated, people with trays of food waiting let others finish the conversation. Reserve seats without food in front of you. How about a warning about this, since people only think about them 👿

The manager of the Thai restaurant is extremely rude. Not only did they serve me half of the dish I wanted because there was none left and I had to pay the price of the other dish which completed the remaining half which was more expensive but when I dared to make a joking remark (fortunately I'm not close to 1 franc), he had my plate emptied and got on his high horse, telling me that it was like that and not otherwise in an absolutely execrable way. They ended up refilling my plate again without asking me if I wanted a drink, the waitress didn't know where to go. I left as quickly as possible. I had rarely been treated like that, except once recently at the McDonald's drive-thru.

I would like to know if you find it normal that the DRINKING water tap at the Thai restaurant at Globus Geneva runs ALL day long under any circumstances? It’s truly a shame that a group like you considers the planet’s resources so little in 2022. I am appalled!

Singapore chicken, chicken! An institution, a delight, a dream. Whoever has never been tempted by a Singapore chicken for 5 people on a Friday afternoon, cast a stone. Going for a snack is not a recommendation, it’s an order. Go for it. Right away.

Similar to Fortnum & Mason but without the pomp & splendor, or even the character.We spent most of the time looking at the very expensive food items in the basement & the even more expensive wine shop.Look but don't touch!

El salón de comidas de Globus fue una experiencia excelente: las opciones de comida son variadas y excelentes. Tomé una hamburguesa de langosta y mi amigo tomó una crepe de pollo / emmental, ambos estaban deliciosos.

L'offre de mets est assez large et la cuisine est très correcte, mais ce qui reste sur l'estomac, c'est le prix. D'accord on est en plein coeur de Genève, mais au même prix sur la même place on peut trouver beaucoup mieux.L'amabilité du personnel est très variable d'une personne a une autre, certains se donnent à fond et d'autres visiblement attendent avec impatience la fin de la journée.

L’espace restaurant est bien fait, les plats sont divers et de très bonnes qualités. MAIS, c’est hors de prix pour ce que c’est même en plein cœur de Genève. Certains plats sont à 25 francs alors que vous devez prendre votre plateau et mangez sur des tables communes... donc attention à quel comptoir vous décidez d’acheter à manger.

Shocking. I purchased a Salmon quinoa salad from the Globus salad bar at noon on 3 March 2020, a popular eatery in Geneva.I started chewing and felt something breaking in my mouth, i thought the quinoa or green leaves weren’t washed properly and that it might have been a small stone. Immediately thereafter, I saw a large piece of broken glass inside my plate!!!! I cannot believe what I saw. Please please be careful, its not just viruses that can cause you harm!!! The saleswoman took a picture and sent it to her manager via her phone, but I hope she didn’t sell the remaining salads that day!!!!Be aware!!!

I was at this place 2 weeks ago. I had a place of salmon selection. Franckly it was a rip off!. they serve you 4 little piece of heart of salmon, one tartar of salmon (tiny portion maybe 40 gr) and 2 slide of salmon.. for a total of 60 USD!!!!! it is just appetiziers and really for 60 USD you can eat a large salad, a main course and a dessert for this pricethe Salmon served was nothign exceptional. So a place to avoid... if you want to throw out money .. or unless Globus reduces its prices or increase the quantity and quality of food!!

Mediano, não voltarei. Comida prática, porém sem graça, com um ambiente que é muito barulhento, e mesas compartilhadas. Possui poucas variedades, pensei que seriam diversos tipos de comidas.Também pensei que seria mais barato, porém possui quase o mesmo preço de restaurantes bons. Não vale a pena.

A very nice place to enjoy for lunch tea time or aperitif.Always full of people with tasty menus.. and nice wine list ,, the service is good and efficient. in the evening and especially Thursday Friday and Saturday it is a perfect place to chill out before diner

Globus is the place for a quick or not so quick bite to eat when you are shopping and you don't know what to get, or when one of you wants this and another wants that. or even if you both want the same thing. it is an efficient, yummy, great place to eat. I have never been disappointed going to Globus for lunch.

Nous mangeons assez souvent chez Globus souvent au restaurant asiatique. Il y a beaucoup de monde et il faut choisir rapidement et les serveurs nous pressent vraiment. Les plats sont bons, j’aime beaucoup le poulet Singapour.Mais c’est vraiment très cher, aujourd’hui un poulet Singapour avec des nouilles et une bouteille d’eau gazeuse 23 FrIl y a aussi quelque chose qui me dérange énormément quand on sait qu’il faut faire attention à la consommation d’eau. Le robinet d’eau en cuisine reste ouvert en permanence pendant tout le service et je l’ai remarqué toutes les fois où je déjeune . Est-ce normal ?

Se come bien aunque todo un poco dulce. El pollo al curry con un punto de picante , muy bueno, los tallarines con estan dulces. Concepto chulo, tipo barra de bar compartido con más gente, bien en general, un poco de ruido ya qye está dentro de un market, fino, pero mercado. Se puede repetir.

We stumbled across the food court where everyone could find something different from Italian, to sushi to burgers. Reminded us of Todd English food hall in NYC. Highly recommend.

De paseo con un amigo y sin saber donde comer. Planta baja con muchas opciones.Muy interesante, correcto, buena comida, en nuestro caso asiatica, recien hecha muy sabrosa. Sin muchas convenciones y de manera casual una buena comida al mediodia visitando Ginebra.

Der beste Ort in Genf für ein schnelles Mittagessen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und sauber. Sie sollten das chinesische Essen und die Creses probieren.

Das Essen im Globus ist bestenfalls moderat. Für das, was Sie bekommen, werden Sie weit über die Quote aufgeladen. Der Service ist schlecht. In der Innenstadt von Genf gibt es bessere Orte zum Essen und Trinken. Mein Rat wäre, den CHF mitzunehmen und woanders zu essen.

Ich habe das Globus Restaurant viele Male besucht. Die Lage ist sehr günstig in der Mitte aller Geschäfte. Die Qualität des Essens ist jedoch sehr durchschnittlich und ich bin mir sicher, dass es mit einiger Mühe deutlich verbessert werden kann.

Wenn meine Tochter und ich reisen, holen wir uns gerne frisches Obst, Brot usw. für das Hotelzimmer. Dieser Laden im Keller war unglaublich. Obst war großartig. Die Preise waren angemessen, vor allem im Vergleich zu anderen Orten in Genf. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Ich liebe Globus. Ich war jetzt schon mehrmals in Genf und dies ist mein Lieblingskaufhaus. Es erinnert mich an eine moderne Version der Kaufhäuser, mit denen ich in Pennsylvania aufgewachsen bin. Es gibt mehrere Etagen zum Einkaufen - von Schreibwaren und Schulbedarf über Wäsche und Kleidung bis hin zu Haushaltswaren und allem, was dazwischen liegt. Es gibt ein Lebensmittelgeschäft im Erdgeschoss und einen Food Court (ish) Bereich im Erdgeschoss. Ich liebe es, weil meine Kinder Kaffee und Gebäck bekommen können, während ich asiatische oder Quiche oder Tapas bekomme. Es ist ein freundlicher Ort, der immer sauber ist.

My daughter and I stopped in a hurry at Globus, rue du Rhône in central Geneva. We bought two rather small foccaia/salami sandwiches for 14 CHF EACH (and 5 chf for a small bottle of water). I should have declined to buy at that price, but we were running late and had to catch something for our lunch. As we left to the car and started eating on our way, we found the foccacia bread was stale, and upon closer look the small salad leaves looked half-rotten. We didn’t eat them. Lessons learnt: I will never buy food from Globus anymore (and try not to run so late too!).

Premiére fois Chez Globus , ambiance sympa ,beau magasin et RDC avec de beaux produits extra frais et de qualité . Coté restauration c'est de la restau rapide assis au bar pour manger une fondue vite fait bien fait pour 3 personnes ( 20 Fr la fondue ) bonne elle est bien passée , par contre déçue pour le vin mais surtout par la quantité servie lorsque l on demande un verre de vin ... j ai eu droit à un fond de verre soit 3 fonds de verre chacun ( pas de quoi faire passer la fondue ) mais trés surpris par le prix exorbitant 10 Fr CH le fond de verre X 3 : 30 Fr Ch si j avais su j aurais pris la bouteille ... prix exorbitant aussi pour la planche de charcuterie ( 15 Fr CH ) pour 4 mini tranches de jambons crus et viande de grison ultra fine qui se court aprés mais qui fait grimper la note ..... ceci dit je reviendrais trés vite car j adore ce lieu mais me méfierais des "à coté" .

Nous avons dîné plusieurs fois à la barre du grand magasin Globus, où on srt du saumon fumé, du crabe et du caviar, C'était toujours très bien. Bons vins, bonne présentation, rapidité, prix un peu élevés.

1ere fois chez Globus pour y manger les Burgers façon Chevrier le chef bien connu dans la région.Ok on est à Genève, ok c'est la mode du street food mais en intérieur, ok l'endroit chez Globus est sympa, ok la qualité heureusement est au rendez-vous...Mais OK aussi CHF 20.- le burger bacon-cheese et CHF 18.- le Burger Roast Chicken...ça ne dépasse pas 150gr/pce.Nous en avons commandé 2 de chaque + bière Calvin. Total CHF 88.-...Mais.... il y a un mais... Les frites en suppléments à CHF 5.- faut pas pousser grand-mère dans les ortilles comme dit l'expression...Dommage ce système ou les restos gagnent plus à vendre des frites que de la viande...Vous voulez de la sauce en plus pour mettre dans le burger... ça se paie aussi...Là, grand-mère elle y est déjà dans les ortilles...Le chef pose son nom pour ce resto mais on est pas au gastronomique ici...Encore une fois heureusement que c'était bon sinon la note passait à 1...

We came here to meet up with family and I'm glad they picked this spot.The food offerings at Globus is truly global. The various food counters offer breakfast food, coffee and a great selection of other hot and cold beverages. We sat there visiting over coffee and time escaped us because the conversation was enriching and the weather was fabulous.It became lunch time while still at Globus and we decided eat Chinese food. We selected several items all of which were freshly prepared. Everything was simply delicious, satisfying and flavorful. I think I'd be here every day if I lived in Geneva.

Wonderful location and excellent food! They are open late so it is very convenient if you want to grab a good meal without being in a fancy restaurant. I would call it an upscale food court with choices from burgers to crepes, Italian food, Asian food, and seafood bar.

three women, three finicky tummies, one place to join us. It is Geneva, so prices are what they are. The food was tasty, excellent, and no risk of over ordering or over eating. The coffee was exceptional. There are a lot of choices foodwise, so walk around and look. You could get everything for about 30 % less at Manor, across the river - but here you can sit, enjoy, feast your eyes and titillate your tongue. It is a food bar in a major shop...

I usually go to globus to grab a quick lunch on the go or to enjoy a coffee. They have a quite large choice of food ranging from sandwiches to oysters and champagne. They have multiple food stands in the food court so you can be sure everyone will find something to eat. Philippe Chevrier recently opened a hamburger shop there called Denise burger and they are very good!!

Das Globus Geneva war früher irgendwie besser - es ist einfach zu voll mit Ware. Allerdings ist der Essbereich im Erdgeschoss sehr gut und auch die oberste Etage führt dazu, dass es immer noch sehr gut ist.

Les 2 fois ou j'y suis allé le matin, les serveurs ont fait exprès de ne pas comprendre que je voulais leur formule café, ce qui permet de facturer le double.Les 2 fois ils m'ont volé de l'argent en me rendant la monnaie et leur attitude est inacceptable pour cet endroit et ce pays.

Будучи в Женеве в командировке, вечером обратил внимание на большое количество людей внутри и около. Зашел и не ошибся. В этот и в последующие дни заходил в Globus поужинать. Выбор разнообразный, порции огромные, разные раздачи предлагают блюда разной кухни. Вечером четверга была даже живая музыка (саксофон и синтезатор), что произвело впечатление на коллег, которых я туда привел.

We were searching for a coffee shop for something quick to eat and found Globus. Had no idea it was a shopping mall as well as food hall. Lots of variety but all ready-made, which was fine. We had a grilled vegetable focaccia and chicken fajita. Expensive for what we got, but everything in Geneva seems to be expensive.

In questo ristorante annesso al grande magazzino ci sono stata sia a pranzo che a cena. E' un self service e i posti a sedere sono a grandi tavoloni ben organizzati. La varietà dei menù è ampia. Ho provato solo la parte orientale e devo dire che il sushi e il sashimi sono ottimi cosi come i piatti caldi della cucine cinese. Ovviamente a ora di pranzo è affollato un pò meno la sera. I prezzi sono medio alti ma siamo in centro città all'interno di un grande magazzino di lusso.

Большой выбор хорошей еды. Корнер с тайской (или вроде того) едой самый лучший. Там вкусно все. Если заходить с площади, то этот корнер будет по левую руку (у стены). Рекомендую курицу с орехами в сладком соусе, на гарнир рис. А вообще там вкусно все и в обеденное время очень много людей.

Balade à Genève toute la journéeRien de mieux que de se réchauffer au Globus entre shopping et pause gourmande c’est un bon compromis.Beaucoup de monde donc un peu d’attente pour trouver une place assise mais l’arrêt est sympa et à refaire.Que ce soit une pause sucrée ou salée toutes les envies sont satisfaites

This is such a bizarre place to eat out or to have a drink - a little eatery in a shopping mall. But weirdly it works and we've been back many times.. Mainly for drinks, but also often for my favourite - the pancakes! There's a good atmosphere and it feels like the heart of Geneva. We love it. (Not so much the toilets - they are always in such a state for such a chic (and of course pricey) place).

Always love the convenience of a one stop shopping experience. Great produce in the food section, conveniently close to apartment as well.

The place is quite busy at lunch, but service is quite efficient, and you can get a wide variety of food there. We picked the raw seafood stand. The salmon tartar was quite tasty, however in my opinion the prices were a good 30% too high.

Ici c’est Genève ! Alors on paye cher (on viendra nous dire que c’est frais et de la qualité) et on est tous ravis. 2 personnes, 2 plats asiatiques, pas d’alcool, pas de café, pas de dessert, du riz cantonais à ... 13.50.- en supplément, 1 rouleau d’été et nous voici à presque 100.- Faut être motivés, on ne le sera plus. Mais pourquoi changer quand les gens acceptent et disent merci !

You will find high end shopping in globus, a very good selection of cashmere and wool brands too. the supermarket offers a great variety of delicatessen, cheeses, and wine. Food court is always crowded and noisy.

Je suis une habituée de Globus autant au niveau shopping (parfumerie, vêtement,...) que les divers restaurants au rez-de-chaussée. J'adore cet endroit !!! Au niveau du shoppingl. les rayons sont bien présentés, le personnel est agréable! Au niveau de la nourriture je recommandes les crêpes de Muller's Factory une tuerie ! Ainsi que le restaurant chinois à tomber...! Super ambiance également ils font souvent des animations type DJ etc

J’ai essayé le coin asiatique du restaurant Globus. Léger, très bon, très varié et rapideLe seul hic....Relativement cher.Sinon c’est un coin parfait pour manger sain et rapidement

La fondue au bar Delicatessa à la truffe est juste parfaite. Le pain est excellent et tout est servi très rapidement. Le prix de la fondue est très correct. Les vins au verre sont un peu chers mais de qualité. En ce qui concerne la décoration de Noël dans tout le magasin, elle est juste splendide. Il faut visiter l’étage avec les équipements pour la maison

A découvrir pour manger ou juste prendre un café et s offrir un break pendant son shopping en centre-ville. Clientèle agréable.

Client de longue date le plus sympa est le restaurant du bas dans l’alimentaire mais , il faut reconnaître que la qualité baisse en particulier au niveau des sushis ou le poisson et de bien moins bonne qualité qu’avant....Personnel sympathique mais peu professionnel avec des changements incessants de personnes , on ne compte plus les assiettes ou les additions fausses le prix est pourtant élevé à l’image de Globus en général!!C’est dommage il manque singulièrement une personne responsable compétente en restauration!!

We visited Globus twice and tried various types of food in there. The falafel & sandwich place and the crepes. The staff on those two places were very polite.However I would avoid the Asian/Oriental place they also do sushi. The women there are so rude. The food is so expensive but tastes really bad. Both dishes we tried were too sweet. They were curries and not suppose to be overly sweetened. Yuk !!!I would not visit them again. Also they should learn how to treat customers. If you like Chinese food try a different place. Lots of places to choose from specially across the lake. The prices are also reasonable.
