Grampi's in Zermatt

If the perfect Pizza Place had a name, it would be Grampi's. One of the most delicious pizzas I ever tasted, and the service was nothing short of perfect.

We went as a family for dinner and had a reservation. Right when we arrived, we were told that we would have our table for 90 minutes. It's okay to have a limit on time spent eating, but generally it is at least around 120 minutes. Our waiter was extremely rude and did not seem like he was interested in his work at all. He brought us the wrong entree, and when I pointed it out, he got very agitated to the point of snatching the menu from my hands and hitting it against the chandelier above us. He did not apologize or come back to check up on us during our meal. If I was not with family and children, I would have left right then. Overall an extremely underwhelming and disappointing experience. My recommendation would be to avoid this place. The pizzas are fine, but the pasta was not cooked well and was on the dry side with not enough sauce.

The restaurant has two floors - it’s quite busy on a Friday night. No big deal - they were able to find a table for me. The service quality was pretty good. They ensured that my cup was always filled with water. Lasagna bolognese took a bit while to arrive, and when it had arrived, it was served piping hot. It was good but I couldn’t say it was the best lasagna I’ve ever had. It was satisfying enough for me not to be hungry for the rest of the night.

The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to the main level of the restaurant. They seated us quickly and the food hit the spot! We will go back before we leave.

Stale bread, perfectly cooked steak although no flavour, carbonaras sauce had a wet feel and they used bacon instead of guanciale. Service was great and a really cool restaurant although the food was not on point.

Absolutely delicious pizza (love the spicy oil too) and the staff here is SO nice. Perfect place for a family as they let our 3 year old make pizza dough at the table and even brought our son to give it to the chef to be fired in the pizza oven (and later served!) Super impressed with this place and would recommend it over and over. Thank you for making our one night in Zermatt awesome!

Grampi's is a must-try for anyone in Zermatt. Perfect location and great service. The Tortellini al Pesto and Linguini with Mussels and Clams were absolutely fantastic. If you're looking for a relaxed but great dining experience, I highly recommend Grampi's.

This place had the absolute worst bruschetta I've ever seen. When they brought it out I thought I was on a comedy prank show for a second and asked where the camera was. Pizza was OK. Not bad, not great. Service was friendly.

Stopped in for dinner and it wasn't bad. The food was average, but the service was fast and wonderful. I ordered a pizza which was pretty average, nothing to write home about. Overall it was a good experience.

The server was nice, but we didn't receive any water or olive oil.. only later we realized we were able to get it. The food was not great and we expected so much more from all the raving reviews. Prices are high for the payoff but fair for Zermatt. No vegan options:/

We ended up here because this was the only place still serving food when we arrived late in the evening. But honestly, it was delicious! We really enjoyed the ham pizza, and the staff was very kind and welcoming to us. Also, the price was extremely reasonable for Zermatt!

Unfortunately only two shifts for dinner (like almost everywhere here), nice atmosphere, efficient service, usual menu. However, the seating is very tight and therefore extremely loud. Pasta tasty.

Legit pasta and pizza - lots of the pasta is homemade and you can tell. We ended up eating here twice in a week and both times the entire family loved their meal.

Get the Diavolo pizza! It sounds simple but it tastes amazing, especially with the jalapeño oil. The service is fantastic considering how busy the place is.

My sister and I had our first dinner in Zermatt here. We spent quite some time looking at menus up and down Bahnhofstrasse. Since it was after 10pm on a Tuesday night the kitchens of many restaurants were closed. We finally found GramPi’s and were SO glad we did! We were immediately warmly greeted and led to a cozy table. The atmosphere was relaxed but lively as families and small groups enjoyed dinner around us. I had the tagliatelle with vodka sauce and salmon, my sister had the lasagna bolognese. OH MY GOODNESS. The food was absolutely impeccable! As New Yorkers we are used to great Italian food but this was better than anything I’ve had anywhere. Plus, the service was warm, attentive, and kind. We felt right at home and well taken care of. But THEN there was dessert! The panna cotta and tiramisu were SUPERB. We definitely had to slow walk back to our hotel as Zermatt sprinkled us with beautiful snow showers along the way. Thank you GramPi’s for an amazing intro to Zermatt! I highly recommend anyone going there to see Salvatore and his team give a masterclass in hospitality :)

After reading some honest reviews from Taiwanese netizens, we decided to try Grampi’s Pork Ribs, and we were not disappointed. Because we were not very hungry that day, my cousin and I only ordered one pork rib. When ordering, I told the waiter that we wanted to share the meal, but when the food was served, two plates came. I thought the waiter heard wrongly. , only one portion of the money was indeed counted during the checkout. It turned out that they were very considerate and directly divided it into two small plates for us. This service alone is a plus. In addition, the pork ribs are also very delicious. They are grilled and delicious. The texture is not greasy and the meat is not dry. It is much better than what I had in Vienna.

Very good restaurant. Warm, above-average food, pizza and pasta, both top and pretty quick in service and cuisine.

We ordered pizza quattro stagioni. It was great. Ribs was good but too sweet for me. The risotto was super creamy. The mini tiramisu and mini panna cotta are perfect for one person. Next time I will try the truffle pasta. When we almost finished our dessert, the table next to us ordered it and the smell was so strong that all of us feel hungry again.

We had 1 Grampi spare ribs and 1 grampi pizza, with 2 Zermatt beers, one non alcoholic. We were treated with 2 welcome champagne/bubbles which are pleasant surprise. The place was packed at 8pm, and we reserved online early, it has English website for online. Food was nice. Spare ribs were tasty and pizza is tasty with fresh prawns. Had been a long time since we have some good Italian food. Waiter was prompt though they are busy. Total price was 70CHF which was value for money. Ambience is nice with nice decoration.

In all honesty, not the best BBQ Ribs or Shrimp Pasta, the very most slightly better than average. Followed google reviews to this place but the food did not live up to its reviews. The service crew are not rude but not the friendliest. Overall, the restaurant was homely and welcoming.

Indeed the best BBQ rib in Zermatt. Like the risotto with prawn and saffron. Portion is big and tasty 😋 Service is 👍 as they separate the rib portion into 2 plates without us telling them to.

We ate at Grampi’s on 2 occasions 16/11/23 we ordered the pork ribs to share, tomato soup, mixed salad, beer & bitter lemon. The food was very good especially the ribs which were nicely marinated and juicy tender😋 server was Giuseppe😊. The 2nd occasion was 22/11/23 at 6pm and it was quite a busy evening. We had the spaghetti & wood fired pizza Margherita which was promptly served. Excellent! Server was Sandro👍🏼 Service as a whole was efficient and quite friendly. Wish the chefs would be more smiling tho - we enjoyed the food and the decor was nice & cheery. 😁 Hope to dine there again before we leave zermatt.

This place was average at best. Nothing stood out to me, and I probably wouldn't return for another visit. There is a lot of potential in their pizza. Maybe it was just an off day.

Me and my husband love the food and the atmosphere. But I'm giving a 3 stars because of a rude and unetiquette waiter. 1. He flicked the menu onto our table and walked away 2. He asked for a tip. i personally think its rude to ask especially i don’t think he deserve a tip at all, but we still tipped because we do appreciate the female manager and other staff at the resturant . 3. He came back with our change and flicked the note($) onto the table without handing it to my husband and there's no appreciation/thank you at all.

Don’t trust the high reviews from Google, the restaurant is quite below average. Pizza is just big in size, but no flavour. Homemade pasta tastes like noodles, we ordered one with seafood and it was like seafood thrown with some bland pasta. The server has a bit of chip on shoulder and may just throw the plate of food on table, so be careful fellow travelers.

Both of our meals had inedible rock hard cartilage-filled bacon acknowledged by 2 servers who neglected/refused to do anything about it. The atmosphere and service were OK but if I had the choice, I would one of the many other Italian restaurants. $75 poorly spent :(

The servers are busy but friendly. When I said I was sharing, they split it in half and gave it to me haha. That was very kind! The pizza is fresh and delicious, but not something that will make you cry. (That's not to say it's not delicious!) I ordered Gampis Pizza and it was shrimp cheese and arugula. Pork ribs were more delicious than the real Korea! I still linger over the pork ribs. However, because there are so many customers, it takes some time.

We went on a crowded Saturday evening without reservation and the staff (I believed is manager) was very accommodative to our group of 6. The food was nice except the hamburger which it a bit dry for both the patty and the buns. Overall experience was great.

It's the best I arrived at 11pm and had a late meal. The restaurant I went to fill my stomach had a great atmosphere. The pub below has a dancing and party atmosphere. I couldn't play because it was hard... Diavolo pizza and 3 beers costs about 54,000 won. 37.4 francs The staff are also very friendly

We visited here on our trip to Europe. We stayed in Zermatt. We had originally decided to try a new restaurant for dinner every day, but we ended up coming here multiple times it was so good! The food is divine, and the staff are SO welcoming. Made you feel right at home! Also has a very good view of the main strip of Zermatt and the Alps! Very good pricing as well. We will definitely miss this restaurant when we get home, and will definitely be back on our next visit!

One things for sure… u wont leave here hungry lol. They are GENEROUS with their portion size which is great considering this very expensive country. The cauliflower soup was okay. Nothing to rave about. The grampis pizza was interesting! I liked the grilled prawns and the fact that the sauce was light. We also got the spare ribs which was also okay. For a very busy night, service was good.

We came here for dinner due to the reviews and prices (as it's cheaper than many other Italians in Zermatt) The restaurant is located on the 1st floor & opened at 18:00. We arrived at 17:45 & there were 8 customers queuing outside the door already. We ordered a minestrone soup, a tomato soup (Pomodoro), a king prawns spaghetti (spaghetti Grampi's), a lasagne with bolongese, a coke & a orange juice. The opinion was a mixed bag: the tomato soup was hot & tasty, the king prawns spaghetti was delicious & prawns were meaty with good seasoning. However, the minestrone soup wasn't hot enough & with too little soup, and the lasagne was slightly burnt & sitting in a sea of bolognese which was too waterly. The restaurant has full of character and there were photos with photo frames all over the walls & ceiling. Although I found the space between the tables of where we sat were too tiny, as the customers who sat next to us struggled to get into their seats as we had to leave our seats for them to get in & out. The dinner cost CHF88, it's a bit pricey but we were in Zermatt so it's understandable. The service was barely existed too. Dispite of these, we had a good time here.

Best pizza I've had in switzerland.

We have been spending our skiing holidays and sometimes our summer holidays in Zermatt for many years. A visit to Grampis is a tradition during our stays. The food is always good and reasonably priced. This week we had dinner at Grampis again and ordered fish stew twice. My wife has ordered this from Grampis several times and has always raved about how perfectly it is presented and how many different fish and seafood it contains. Unfortunately, this time everything was different. Two large shrimps and then…. Unfortunately only seafood from the freezer? and no other fish. The stock was also under-seasoned and bland. What could be the reason for this change from very good to mediocre fish stew? Despite everything, we will eat at Grampis again because we know that everything on offer usually lives up to our expectations.

I heard that when you come to Switzerland, the food is expensive and not tasty, but I guess that was too much of an illusion. It's expensive, but it tastes good.

It definitely is the restaurant you have to try when you visit Zermatt. I ordered seafood pasta and bbq rib to share with my mom and sister and it was great!! We had a really good dinner time. Staff were nice and friendly as well:). Definitely recommend and will come back!!

Grampi's is our absolute favorite restaurant in Zermatt. Great selection. I think price/performance is very good. It was a pleasure.

The pork ribs are indeed delicious, but it's a pity that the portion size has to be ordered for two people at a time, which is quite filling. The restaurant service staff are very prompt in serving, ordering, and clearing tables, and they are friendly despite being busy, which is very good. There are a lot of people dining, so it is recommended to make a reservation in advance, otherwise there will be a long queue on site.
