Returned after some time, welcoming place, very kind and helpful staff and the smile of the girl (Federica) is contagious

I was treated very well, the staff were very kind and the food was a real delight!

As soon as we left (luckily), 3 first courses, 1 amatriciana with super overcooked pasta and 2 super watered down saffron risottos, not even 1 coffee offered at the time of payment... congratulations ✌️

I went for a quick pizza for lunch with a dear local friend...excellent pizza as was the kindness and friendliness of the pizza chef Gaetano...highly recommended

I ate well, being on the lake I would have preferred fish, which I couldn't find on the menu.

Very charming and friendly staff, authentic local visitors. Great food and affordable prices. I wish that the restroom would be better and menu available in paper form, but still a great place nevertheless.

We order two pizzas, one of which arrives wrong (with 4 cheeses instead of tuna and onion). We point it out to them and after 3 minutes they come back with the right pizza where they scraped off the gorgonzola from the pizza and put tuna with onions, really bad...

Very friendly environment, but not overlooked. Although the offer of experiences is wide, do not hesitate to ask for advice, the trained and attentive staff know how to personalize the offer. Ravioli with artichokes, glass of Bolgheri. Two excellent references for a meal. And in my opinion the high quality espresso (Carlito), prepared with skill; hot cup, not long and watered down and the icing on the cake. I highly recommend the Grande Fratello Restaurant, not a simple snack bar

Simple and familiar environment for this restaurant. Close to the promenade that runs along the lake and in front of the Swissminiatur. So perfect for taking advantage of a break. Not just pizza and everything is good. The staff is kind. If you don't have time to eat, treat yourself to at least one of their specialty coffees: delicious!

(our Italian is still in its infancy). It was a culinary journey of discovery with authentic Italian dishes. Very tasty, like from Nonna's kitchen. Definitely quite high in calories, because we couldn't resist the selection of desserts. We were completely satisfied and would happily recommend “il Grande Fratello” to others 💖

Don't go there, expired and poor quality food, the other day my father and I went to eat in this terrible place and we ordered an amatriciana and a cacio e pepe, cacio e pecorino that had expired, we didn't even finish the dish. So much so that my father ended up in hospital soon after with food poisoning. And when we pointed it out to them about the bad cheese they replied "we met the only Italians who understand amatriciana and cacio pepe today". Really bad.

We went to this place recently and had a wonderful meal, welcomed by friendly and kind staff. Excellent dishes from first courses to dessert. The location is excellent. We will be back soon.

A friend and I arrived at 6.30pm to have an aperitif on the terrace (not the one set up for eating). Given the heat today, we chose the furthest place possible. After a short wait the waiter arrives and asks us to move further inside to leave that table free... All outdoor tables are for 4!!! We cordially greeted him and left 👋 Note that the place was practically empty 🤣🤣

Next to the tesla chargers and seemed like a good spot for a pizza. Unfortunately this sad, empty cafe is so paranoid and tacky that as soon as you walk in they shout at you to pay a euro in case you use the bathroom! Go to Cala Melide, beautiful spot 50m away on the lake, a different world.

....Let's start with the positive: The interior is beautifully designed, the waitresses are friendly and the food LOOKS like a feast for the eyes. Unfortunately the food doesn't taste the same and is way too expensive! The thicker edge of the breaded chicken schnitzel was not cooked through and the meat tasted like paper, not exactly enjoyable without a lot of sauce. The fries are barely salted and for 30fr! When we walked there onto the terrace there was a smell of chemicals which was very unpleasant but we didn't have time to look for anything else. They should also replace the glasses, you can see that they were very old (scratched from the dishwasher). We came with 3 dogs. I thought it was a shame that we weren't offered a dog bowl. At the end when I was walking I saw that there was one lying around in the bushes and also cigarette butts, not exactly inviting. We felt uncomfortable. It is not recommended as a tourist. For a short stop as a construction worker who doesn't expect much, okay (I also had construction workers doing welding at lunchtime).

When we walked in the waitress asked us what we wanna eat, on that probably depends where we can sit but we even didnt see the menu yet so how should we know what we want to eat when we didnt know what are they cooking in this restaurant? My boyfriend ordered burger und I ordered pizza but they did bring his burger first and he almost finished his burger when the waitress brought pizza. Pizza was burn and cold, that is very interesting combination. They didnt even bothered cut the whole pizza on pieces. 👎🏻 Response to owners comment: No, you ask us if we want to eat and when we said yes, you started to ask if we wanna eat salad, burger or pizza.. So dont try to look better now you had your chance. I dont write recension too often but when I do its usually very positive but this was bad. You can take something good from it and improve yourself.

We had to call the service staff so that someone could come to us. Our pasta carbonara was completely over salted and definitely had too much pepper in it. The main course was served with the starter at the same time.

Unfriendly camera, unclean location, broken pieces on the floor, dirty dishes, food only for very hungry customers, entrance door was always open and was not closed despite request. It pulled and it was uncomfortable. The staff were shouting at each other and were in a bad mood. Overall, not recommended.

A few steps from the lake we stopped in front to load the car and decided to go in for a short aperitif. Refined beers, excellent cocktails but above all very, very good pizza which I recommend trying. The coffee is also a real espresso

The cuisine is very good. The location is very alternative. Pleasant day, ate a pizza with friends as an aperitif and drank a couple of beers. Nothing exceptional but pleasant in general. The only flaw was that it was wrong/attempt to cheat with the change (half of €50/CHF), but probably (and even if it wasn't) a mistake. So nice but watch your wallet because thinking badly is a sin but you get it right.

Very expensive. Plain, simple burgers that are certainly not worth 20 euros. The children's pizza is fine.

Positive experience, the place is very well looked after despite the external appearance of the building. Modern furnishings arranged harmoniously. Would give 0 stars if that were possible, got into the restaurant just before 1 p.m., it wasn't full, but 3-4 tables were occupied. However, we 2 adults and 3 children were skillfully ignored while everyone else could order. After about 15 minutes the waitress came to us, asked us in German what we wanted and then brought us the French cards, we then got the German ones ourselves. We then wanted to order drinks and food, but were again ignored. After waiting for 30 minutes, we decided to continue on our way. You can tell that this restaurant thrives on tourists, new ones come back. Rarely have we experienced such poor service, so we continue to Lugano, where we quickly found what we were looking for and were provided with good food.

I agree with my predecessors on this. I would also like to give 0 stars. We also had catastrophic service. That means none at all. We were ignored. It was clear that we were not wanted. I think it's a shame that you're treated like that. They also always spoke to us in English (not real English, somehow a bit of English thrown together), even though there were Italians present with us. We didn't give any tips. Conclusion; avoid and do not support in the future! Very unprofessional place!

The food and service is good, but the prices in Ticino are super expensive. 66cl of water costs 6.70, a children's burger with a few French fries costs 17.00. a decent pizza with a topping is at least 6 p.m....
