It's actually been an insider tip for decades and I've been going there for lunch at the car salon for at least 28 years and to eat the special dish "Potence", which is pre-fried pieces of fillet stuck on a kind of gallows that are flambéed at the table and that The alcohol poured over and lit then drips very tastefully into the rice below. Quite simply the best meat I have eaten in Geneva. By far.

Got off the airport at 8PM and found this only restaurant open in the neighborhood. Everything from the service to the food is excellent except the price quite expensive. We had the chef’s specialty with a nice burning demonstration. This is a must-have dish if you ever come.

One of the best experience I had during the fair at Geneve! The meat was so tender and the staffs were friendly.

The meat is good but the gallows are much too expensive for 5 small pieces of meat per person, a little rice, some sauces and everything else extra. The service is poor and the setting is outdated. In short, nothing that justifies a rating of almost 300 chf at 4!

The place is not in the center by any means and doesn’t have a fancy entry .. but the atmosfer and food is outstanding especially the food .. their signature La Potence “ Flambee au Whisky’’ paired with glass of Domaine Des Abeilles Dor Chouilly was the best piece of meat we had in a long time !!!!

Fantastic experience! Great atmosphere and lovely food. Their signature dish La Potence Flambe with Whisky is soft and flavourful. We went for "rare" which is perhaps similar to medium rare in other countries. It comes with a selection of 5 sauces. A nice restaurant to visit, especially if you are stuck near the airport/Palexpo.

Excellent from start to finish! Started with the sherry consumme which had a great depth of flavour that you'd hope from a consumme. It was perfectly balanced with the sherry. Enough to give you a nice hit of sherry but right on the edge, anymore and it would feel overpowered but they nailed it The steak flambé was as good as a meal I've had. Juicy tender pieces of steak but with this beautiful char on the outside. They offered five condiments but I only cared for two. The butter and pepper sauce. It was recommended to mix the two and I recommend the same! The service was warm and attentive. It was also a nice tough being greated and served by the chef. I was just staying the night at a Geneva airport hotel but I'm glad I walked across the park to visit. I'll remember my visit for a long time. Can't recommend enough. The food and atmosphere is all you can ask for from a restaurant

The " potence du chef " is soooo delicious . I'm not s big fan of meat but this one is something else ! The only thing that's negative is that the look of the restaurant from the outside maybe needs some renovation because it's not so inviting ... You should know that the gallows are very good but unfortunately the portions are ridiculously small and without any extra offer...the salad is extra as are the fries.....in any case we won't be going back... .and don't hesitate to go and eat the gallows at the Thônex communal inn with its double service....

We were staying fir two nights at the Hilton Geneva Airport and we decided to try “Le Grizzly”. What a treat ! The famous “hangman flambé “ is fantastic. The meat top quality beef filet cooked at perfection and excellent selection of sauces. Nice wine selection and super kind and professional staff. A must if you are in the area.

Excellent restaurant which is worth the detour for its gallows. The meat is tender and remains juicy until the end. The staff are smiling and attentive to customers. Fries and salad without option for a supplement, the dish being served with rice. No problems finding a place for this parquet except during exhibition periods at the nearby Palexpo.

Stumbled across this gem whilst looking for a restaurant for a pre flight dinner near GVA. We were short of time so took the chef's advice and went for their signature dish - steak flambéed with whisky. We were not disappointed! Quite literally the best steak we have eaten in years. Wonderful theatre at the table too. Service was rapid but not rushed . A fabulous meal and highly recommended!

Despite a good stem, I only give it 2 stars. I find it unacceptable to charge 8chf for a salad as a starter when you sell your gallows for 45chf. And what about the fries which are not included and hop 5chf more! Of course without informing customers. At the end, we end up with an extremely salty note. We were a table of 10 and not a single move.
