Super friendly and quick service

Overall, the food was delicious, but completely overpriced! Service itself was okay, but the owner and main manager was incredibly unfriendly and treated us as if we were small children (group of 12 people aged 40-55). Incredibly cheeky and not happy. A pity. However, with the view and the food very good potential, the unfriendly operator really took away the good mood after he was totally stressed and provocative!

Never experienced such an unfriendly boss. Waiters had to apologize for him. Will avoid this place. No support for such an arrogant attitude.

My favorite place to eat on the slope in Saas-Fee. The chilli fondue its really good, and spicy! The staff is si friendly, you really feel welcome there.

Great atmosphere, attentive staff

This restaurant is a gem in the heart of the Saas Fee area. The setting is simply remarkable, the cuisine of good quality and the service efficient. An address that I have frequented for years, always with the same pleasure. Special mention for the Valais plate that I cannot ignore during all my stays. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was our 3rd time visiting this restaurant. 3 of us arrived and asked the waitress if it was possible to add 2 chairs in 15 minutes because 2 friends were going to arrive. Question to which the waitress answered yes. When the 2 people arrived the boss came running exclaiming to the whole terrace that he was the boss and that he decided the locations. Indeed, the sympathy of this gentleman has no longer been proven over the years and he well deserves the term barn door as they say in French-speaking Switzerland, a region he is so fond of (irony). We knowingly come to this restaurant because we have already noticed how dishonest the owner is. We come for the food which is very good and the waitresses who keep smiling despite the owner's primitive welcome. Questioning is not his strong suit given the repetitive and distressing comments about him.

Arriving at 10 a.m., we ordered 2 glasses of wine, a beer and a Valais plate. Unfortunately, as the kitchen did not open before 11 a.m., they were completely unable to make this plate for us! Very nice place too bad!!

Best mountain restaurant in SaasFee

We enjoyed a delicious lunch in this pretty chalet while skiing in Saas Fee. The soup was flavourful, the goat cheese salad very tasty and so was the cholera dish. The creme schnitte was fabulous! All of them were beautifully presented. Welcoming staff. Would definitely come back!

Great tomato fondue in a great atmosphere and served by a great and friendly team. Gladly again!

The boss “Kari” was extremely rude, he shouted at our friends before I arrived with my fiancé . We came to the table which our friends already had, Kari stopped us at the entrance and started yelling at us “that we should come together”. The whole lunch was ruined. However my extremely offended fiancé got revenge later, when we walked into the kitchen and told him that “he’s not a man”. He spoke English at the beginning but then claimed that he didnt understand English when there was an issue.

Brilliant. Best we found on the slopes. Gotta walk there from the village or ski-in. Great food and service. Queues at lunchtime.

the guy at reception is just execrable he is not made for this job, for the rest it is correct except that some people can book and others cannot... in short another one of those piles of fleece snow which has no manners.

Boss is unfriendly. Didn't understand the meaning of customers bringing money, since customers have no other choice anyway. Employees very friendly. The boss needs to learn something from the employees. I'm often in Saas-Fee, but I'll avoid this place.

Very nice, cozy and idyllic hut on the edge of the slopes and better than any of the restaurants. The food was super tasty and beautifully prepared. The glacier grotto is very popular and depending on the time, I can expect a wait. However, despite the supposed waiting time of 40 minutes, it was always quick and we had a seat after 15 minutes. This will certainly be more difficult with large groups. But the visit is worth it.

How rude can you be? The guy that was in charge of placing people/ the host was one of the rudest customer service personel I have ever met. Like, yes, I understand that you are busy and I understand that people can be anoying, but if you are not able to handle that, you're definitley working in the wrong place. I didn't even go into the restaurant, because of how rude he was already from the start. Would definitley not recommend this place. There are so many other places to choose from which also have a great atmosphere, good food and way friendlier staff.

I arrived shortly before 3:00 p.m. Just in time for hot food. The cheese cut was very fine. The egg was on point and the ham harmonized very well with the spicy raclette cheese. The food was on the table in a flash. I am very satisfied and will definitely come back

It is a small charming cottage with a nice terrace and good kitchen. You often have to wait for a table, but it's worth it.

Ideal location, but the boss and the most disrespectful person in the entire Saas Fee valley, I don't understand why he does this job. It is better to eat a sandwich outside at -20 with a big snowstorm than to imagine going to spend a friendly time in this place. ABE

The glacier grotto is very inviting. We always pass by when hiking. But this time we were very disappointed price performance. 1 Rösti with ingredient Fr.24.- 1 plate very sparingly topped Fr. 28.- No further comment.

Great mountain restaurant, in a beautiful location. The climb was worth it. Afterwards you can walk the glacier educational trail, a really nice path ☺️ However, as a hiker, a certain level of skill is required, as it goes downhill/uphill quite steeply in places.

Very friendly, uncomplicated staff. After the climb we quenched our thirst a bit and then enjoyed a Valais plate with additional venison carpaccio. As befits a fine white wine from Valais. Price performance very good in the village it is expensive. So stop by and enjoy

Rustic hut, very friendly service The “Glacier Trail” was a bit challenging for us hobby hikers (partly with covered wire ropes), which provides educational information about glaciers on many display boards.

For my part disappointed by the hamburger. Hamburger bread like supermarket bread in a bag (do not trust the photo where the bread is yellow), and beef which is not pure beef. I didn't find it terrible. In addition, extra fries are served by default (I didn't know the concept). I ate an excellent burger in Verbier last year at the top of the slopes for the same price. So I don't think the price (27+4) has anything to do with it. Too bad I found the staff very friendly and accommodating when I arrived. I just don't follow the rest. My colleagues had a Swiss fondue. Same, lots of wine in there.

Actually our dream location in Saas Fee for 30 years. But when we wanted to have a bite to eat there a few days ago, we were very disappointed. Unfortunately, the Kaiserschmarrn portion was even smaller than before. When the goulash soup came, I could hardly believe it. It is basically served in a coffee cup. After 4 large spoonfuls she was empty and I fed her off. I found that very unfortunate and disappointing. Price-performance should perhaps be reconsidered here. Being stingy with mini portions is not customer-friendly. Therefore only 4 stars, otherwise it would easily be 5!

The only genuine and authentic lunch spot that doesn’t feel touristy. The location is enclosed perfectly to prevent windy conditions and to enjoy the sun all into the late afternoon. We tried the entire menu over several days days and the food was mediocre but the location makes up for it - the fondue on the other hand was amazing! Stay far away from the burger. Lastly, I would advice you to not interact with the individual in the picture. This man was extremely rude and made us feel unwelcome and should not work in service. The rest of the staff was amazing.

If the setting is perfect, the manager has a very particular concept of customer service. Unpleasant, without any attention or consideration for the people who make it happen. He'd better change careers because he puts Saas Fee's legendary, warm welcome to shame.

In an idyllic setting, a very unfriendly and downright arrogant manager. As soon as you have finished your drink, the waiter is there and rushes to order a new drink, otherwise you are pushed towards the exit. In 45 minutes, I consumed a coffee, a tea, a rivella for no less than 18 francs and saw myself pushed towards the exit... Indeed, on a sunny day in February, the manager did not need customers like me, there were enough people passing through. What will it be at the end of March, beginning of April? For my part, I have never had such a bad experience and I will never return while the establishment is managed by “Mr Dollar”.

My friend and I had the worst service experience that has ever happened to us. The server was obnoxious to us on several occasions. He chased us away from the table we had sat at because we were initially coming to “just have a drink” and maybe eat later. He threw a chair at us (even though there were two of us) facing the wall and without a table, which we refused. A kind couple welcomed us with them at their table. Then at the end of our drink the waiter came back and waved the card then threw it on the table like “so are you going to eat something?? » How awful ! We spoke to the employees about it to ask to speak to the manager and what a shock to learn that this terrible person was in fact the manager! He is apparently as rude to customers as his employees and only relies on passing tourists to fill his establishment. We live in the resort and can assure you that the experience will be passed on and that the unimaginable behavior of this person will have its consequences (who other than locals and seasonal workers participate in the economy during off-peak periods, dear Sir?). Future customers and future seasonal workers, save yourself from being mistreated like this by such a hateful person. Too bad because the place is great, in the sun and with a magnificent view! The food looked great and the staff appeared quite friendly. Unfortunately, we decided to leave without eating. The host/manager was so rude and aggressive. Would definitely not recommend. There are so many other friendly places nearby with equally fantastic views.

very nice location, very nice chalet, top service team, very good food. Nevertheless, there is one massive point of criticism: the boss himself is not a humanitarian and his tone regularly changes (passive aggressiveness). He is a good organizer, but not a good host. He should also treat his staff more kindly, as he has a great team. So Kari, bring humor into your life, set a good example of tolerance and your little world will be as perfect on its own as you unfortunately try to force it with a lot of pressure.

I stopped at the glacier grotto on my hike. The autumn salt was great! The dessert was super delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I can highly recommend a visit. For me personally it was one of the Rsataurant highlights during my 4-day stay in Saas-Fee.

Very nice terrace to take a break after climbing the hill from Saas Fee. A weisbier tastes better sitting on this terrace.

What a nice place. This restaurant is located at 1998 meters in the woods above Saas Fee. You can only get there on foot, on foot from Saas Fee, or from Spielboden. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service.

A wonderful place to stop during a hike from Spielboden down to Saas-Almagell. The platter with dried meat and sliced ​​cheese is particularly recommended; you definitely have to treat yourself! The whole thing is rounded off to your complete satisfaction by friendly and attentive staff. We'd be happy to come back as soon as we're in the area again.

A restaurant where everything was right. We hiked to the restaurant for about an hour and it was worth it. My girlfriend had a cheese slice and I had a delicious rösti. But the best thing was the dessert, a glacier grotto ice cream cafe, which is recommended. The restaurant is beautifully designed & the service is A1. We will visit it again.
