We were there for Good Friday dinner with the whole family. Since we have many people in the family who don't eat fish, we looked at the menu online and hoped that this restaurant would offer the regular menu (various dishes). Reservations were made by phone. When we arrived, we were given a table in the middle of the restaurant - even though there was a BABY mentioned when making the reservation. The waitress offered us a high chair, but this doesn't make sense with a 4 month old baby. So we had to hold the child on our lap throughout the entire stay. When we got the extra menu, the shock: there were 6 (!) fish dishes & only 1 meat dish and that was ultimately ill-considered by the kitchen: veal steak “from the grill”. So much to say - this was ordered by 1 person and was extremely greasy, not sautéed from the grill and was simply disgusting. The butter noodles are bland. The fish dishes were “okay” and sometimes lukewarm. The children were served their food LAST. The salad, which is served with the menu, sits around all day long with the kitchen door open. Not covered! The waitress didn't take the time to offer a personal experience... If I had paid, I wouldn't have tipped a penny. This restaurant experience was disappointing and we will never come back or recommend this restaurant - the only thing we thought about here was money and serving as many guests as possible.

These gastronomists know their craft. Large parking lot Nice restaurant with a hall, in the warm months with a nice terrace. Service very attentive & accommodating. Kitchen is the heart of the business, very good fresh fish cuisine on Lake Hallwil and the other dishes are also excellent from A to Z A reservation is recommended.

We always enjoy visiting the Hallwyl restaurant. The selection of fish is extensive and the dishes are very tasty. It is particularly worth mentioning that you always get fish as a second helping. But the portions are quite generous, so I've never ordered seconds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are more towards the upper segment.

I've been going to the Hotel Hallwyl for 42 years. Eat Egli in beer batter and over that time they've always been the same and very good. Plates are preheated hot. All other food and drink is also very good. Prices are also very good for me. I'm happy if it stays like this for a long time. Thank you very much for the very good food and drink and for the very good cake that you had to buy especially for our 10th wedding anniversary. Everyone was thrilled with your restaurant. Everyone would be happy to come back to you.

Lots of parking spaces, very attentive, friendly waiters, there are many menus at fair prices at lunchtime. But the fish menus are clearly the highlight, big praise to the chef.

Just a really delicious meal, we will go again.

It seems luxurious because of how the waiters treat you, nothing to complain about that, the price of the food is expensive, the entrecote was not entrecote and what I liked least of all was that to make the reservation my husband had to call because Seen if you call yourself with a Spanish surname they don't have time for you to spell it, but however if you have a Swiss name they do.

This is an outstanding restaurant. The food and service was superb. Finest food anywhere. The owner checked at our table and was friendly and efficient. We were visiting from Arizona. Would recommend this establishment with enthusiasm.

The atmosphere in the hall was pleasant. Food very good. Supplement to the fish dish. Staff very friendly even though there were a lot of guests, especially in the restaurant. Unfortunately the garden was closed due to the weather. Reservations are essential on weekends.

I ordered takeaway today. Instead of the 20 minute wait it became a whole 40 minutes. Unfortunately the Rösti is fried very dark and for 57.- I expect a little more. I won't come back because today I was very disappointed. Used to be better quality and better service.

We have been visiting this great restaurant in a beautiful location with extremely friendly staff under the leadership of Ms. Luzia Finazzi for years. The food is always excellent. It's worth a visit. Again any time!

This restaurant is very authentic. Here the guest is served excellently. The selection of fish dishes and meat dishes is large. Many small details such as fresh flowers on the tables, fabric table linen, lots of light, etc. are signs that the guest is important here.

In terms of food, it's a safe value, good home cooking and very good value for money. At the beginning there is fresh bread and butter on the table, and you don't often find soup AND salad with the lunch menu anymore. Reservations are almost essential.

A family-run and well-run hotel restaurant. The food, we had game and pasta dishes, was a delight!! The eye ate here!! Portions were almost impossible to manage. The staff friendly and helpful. The furnishings are rather traditional and old-fashioned, but they offer a measure of comfort.

Uniquely beautiful! Unique service! Excellent meal! Last Sunday we spontaneously visited their house for Fondue Chinoise! So you still feel like royalty when you enter their restaurant! A warm welcome, followed by a lovingly set table, two incredibly nice and attentive service staff from Hungary and a wonderful Chinese fondue. We will definitely recommend your house with a clear conscience and you have gained new regular guests. Thank you for your hospitality 👏

Fast service, in a pleasant environment

Ordered cucumber soup today and received a mix of sour foods with cheese. We gave it back and the waiter first said it was cucumber soup. The menu says 'cold cucumber soup with croutons', nothing of any of the other flavors. This was then initially charged in full on the invoice, which was adjusted when it was mentioned again. Despite the long wait: crispy fish was super tasty, lettuce had almost no sauce. It's a shame and hopefully guest-friendly will be better again soon.

Had dinner here with a work colleague. We sat outside on the terrace. Nice in the shade in wonderful weather. The food was fresh and delicious. Normal waiting time even though it was busy. The service was quick and friendly. I will gladly come again

We stayed in the hotel for 2 days in July. Luize who is the owner and her employees were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and custom-made. The restaurant serves very delicious local fish dishes. My parents and myself had an amazing time. Totally recommend it!

+ Food, price/quality, attention from the waiters and cleanliness, everything was very good - The terrace has practically no views. Many flies. Better to bring some type of repellent (spray, lotion, etc.) Better to reserve, especially for Fridays and weekends.

The service was friendly, but unfortunately didn't understand much German. The price-performance ratio for the coupe fits 👍🏻 very tasty.

I'm a regular here and always receive excellent and friendly service. I often come to eat with my visitors and the food is always very good and of good quality. On June 10th, 2022 my belated birthday party was celebrated with 26 people on the sun terrace with unique DECORATIONS. Music live CARLO BRUNNER (4 men). Lunch very delicious and fresh, perfect and good fresh quality. TIPTOPER SERVICE FROM LASZLO AND BALINT. My friends were ALL thrilled. A wonderful, unforgettable experience. I can highly recommend it for certain occasions. A big THANK YOU to Luzia Finazzi, Josi Müller, Laszlo, Balint and the entire Magi Berner kitchen team

Tasty dishes, not fancy but quite plentiful. Steep prices though even for the Swiss, 35+ CHF for a meat-based dish.

We were there today to have something cool to drink on our walk, the service barely understood us and we had to wait a long time for our drinks. There was no option for us to go there again, so only 1 star

An attempt was made to get lunch on Sunday, unfortunately this was not possible without a reservation for 6 people (2 families), which was completely understandable for us... what couldn't be explained was the harsh, annoyed tone - as suggested to us as well as our compromise to sit/eat outside at lunchtime. It's a shame, the friendliness/willingness to compromise wasn't there.....Service grade 1-

Salad with shrimp was great and so was the pork fillet. Small deduction, the spaetzli were not really fried. Service was top very friendly.

Enjoy your meal. Very good service. The waitress didn't write anything down for 11 guests and made no mistakes. What didn't work was how the hostess treated the staff, i.e. our waitress, and that in front of the guests. Actually a reason not to support this restaurant any further. A pity
